Absolutely wonderful stay!

Tonge Barn was an absolute dream of a stay! The rooms were roomy, clean and very tastefully decorated. the owner was welcoming and so friendly and helpful. would definitely recommend Tonge Barn to anyone!

Excellent. Top standard.

The location is very tranquil. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is cooked to order and very very nice. I cannot fault it and a really lovely place to stay.

Nothing, it’s perfect, quiet, very clean, nice decor, a homely feel. It is a very relaxing place to stay. Car parking excellent, and a lovely rural spot.

A great local place to stay - superb garden onto stream

Excellent place to stay for the night - breakfast was outstanding as was the Manager's attention to detail. A very relaxed environment too.

The one point we would raise as we mentioned it to each other was the room we booked didnt have a window apart from the skylight - we felt a little boxed in - we managed to view the other garden rooms with door leading out onto the garden and this would have suited us better. It is not a negative just an observation. In no way did it affect our stay.

Good location, great accommodation, very helpful staff, couldn't ask for more.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival by Gabriela and she looked after us extremely well during our stay. Our accommodation was comfortable although the room could have been a little larger and it's a shame that it contains a third bed rather than a wardrobe with drawer space. Breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and presentation, again thanks to Gabriela. The garden area is very relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would we stay again? Yes, absolutely.

There is alot of nature, tables next to small river, the area is perfect for romantic evening!

Disappointing - poor value for money

Beautiful location (photos accurate). Staff friendly and helpful.

Quality disappointing given the high cost of the room. Room layout didn't really gel - towel hooks/rail in the bathroom would have been helpful too. Breakfast only great if you love a full English! Tea, coffee, jam etc all budget options.

beautiful property, well decorated, comfortable and lovely gardens. Tucked away, you could have been anywhere! Great dining area and they allowed extra guests for breakfast for a nominal charge.

relaxing and amazing

This property is actually stunning, we are defiantly going to come back in the summer so we can sit outside in the gardens. The rooms are beautiful and you have everything you need. Oh and that breakfast is lovely!

Modern, beautiful, cosy, high spec, family run hotel. Much better than the nearby bigger hotel brand

Beautiful, modern and cosy. Lovely staff/owners, delicious breakfast. Lots of attention to detail which was a lovely extra touch e.g. an essential oil diffuser, mini toiletries, a full sized kettle, fridge, plug-in room fragrances, dimmer bedside lamps, remote temp controlled air con/heater etc... really couldn't fault it. Unbelievably, it was the same price as another big branded hotel (lets call it the Poliday Pin), which was dated, dirty and had poor facilities. Tongue Barn was 1000x better!

My room was quite warm in the morning, this is my personal preference as I rarely use heating at home, so it was a bit much for me. Each room has a window and a personal temp controlled aircon/heater, so I simply had to switch that on to resolve the issue. The hotel is right next to a rail track so the when the trains passed it would rattle the windows. I am a light sleeper and yet this didn't disturb my sleep at all, so not really an issue. My colleague said her bacon was over-done and that the pillows were so huge it hurt her neck. Literally the only faults we could think of.

Lovely quiet stay , facilities were clean and not tired - bed was comfy too !

Fantastic breakfast, Cooked fresh , plenty of choice and lovely setting . Staff were friendly and made sure i had everything i needed
