Good property but proceed with caution

it's a very quiet area with good views of Mt. Kenya. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Minor issue but some of the kitchen furniture items need repair. (Kitchen dining table was wobbly because the table top only rested on the table legs and was not affixed to the table legs. one dining chair back rest was broken)

I was asked to pay a higher rate than what was confirmed on booking. com. I contacted the property owner after completing my booking to ask for an early check-in. George asked me how many guests (which was already noted on the booking) as well as the composition. I explained it was three adults with two being elderly. He then proceeded to tell me that the posted rate on booking.com was incorrect and that I should pay a higher rate by 31%. When I told him that was not acceptable to me because I had completed the reservation on booking.com and received a confirmation on the posted rate, he asked me to cancel the booking and hang up. I called him back and explained that the rate on booking.com was non-refundable, and so if I cancelled, he would still receive the amount confirmed. I explained to him what he was doing was irregular and inappropriate and that I would report him to booking.com customer service. I then proceeded to contact booking.com customer service. He then sent me a text saying that he would honor the posted rate that was confirmed on booking.com This whole experience left a really bad taste in my mouth, and I felt George was trying to take advantage since it was a last minute booking, that was non-refundale.

My family and I had a lovely time. Very close to Ol Pejeta conservancy. Would definitely recommend this place to my frie

Place is spacious and all rooms are en suite.

There are other houses in the compound still under construction, therefore, there's a lot of noise. The quality of finishing in the building wasn't great. The buildings are being built quite close together and the view to the mountain is getting blocked by the new building on the same property.

awesome experience in Nanyuki thanks to Oloibor farmhouse

very comfortable in a serene location. Mount Kenya view in the morning is incredible. it’s family friendly with spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen. guards are friendly and always available to help. Will definitely book again😊

not something I didn’t like but we arrived at night and thought we were in the middle of nowhere. there’s however a police station nearby so our security was assured.

Best stay we ever had with friends.

A beautiful house with all the required amenities like kitchen for self cooking and a fireplace for a relaxed evening in the cold night. Very spacious rooms with big washrooms. Have very humble security guards as well that helped us with our stay.

Awesome

What we needed was a quiet, serene place that my wife, son and I could spend some time away from the hustle, bustle of city life. Oloibor Farm House exceeded those expectations. The Host - George was very honest and helpful, he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. we even had our own Motorbike Errand guy for when we needed stuff in town. The facilities are exquisite, the cleanliness, hygiene above par and the house is generally a beautiful modern place to live in. The beds were comfortable and sleep was awesome. We initially intended to stay for 2 days but extended to 5 days. The highlight for my son was early morning runs in the vast compound in the grass and my wife really enjoyed the fire at night in the chimney. We'll definitely consider the place for another visit and long stay. Kudos George...!

The place was super clean and I love the fact it is family friendly and has plenty of space for the kids to play. Our two daughters had fun playing at the balcony and running around the farm. Ooh and the view of Mt. Kenya at sunrise was breathtaking!
