The secret garden, which felt magical! Sitting next to the beautiful fountain. The extremely comfortable bed. The marshmallows they left, for toasted marshmallows. The feeling of cozy shelter. Fire was easy to build and cooking was easy. Toilet was in excellent condition and showers as close as on many camping sites.
If we had stayed for longer, cold storage might have been useful. We didn't think to ask to borrow a kettle but that would have made hot drinks and washing up easier.

Loved the privacy of the garden and equipment supplied. We cooked a few times and could have done with a small pot of oil as we didn’t think to bring any but otherwise brilliant. Bed a bit springy but not too bad. Overall great experience.
No oil for cooking
Bed a bit springy and uncomfortable

Absolutely perfect little hideaway. Loved everything about it. Will definitely be back.

We loved the wild garden with different areas to sit and enjoy the peace. The fountain area with bench, the other bench area, the hammock next to the kitchen and the big hammock in the outdoor kitchen. We loved making fire every single evening and BBQed every evening. It was private and away from the main camping field and we loved every second.
The mattress was springy and not to our liking

Everything!!! Perfect little break 😍 Sarah and Theo are such lovely people. This is our 3rd stay here and can not wait to return. Even tho the weather wasn't perfect it didn't matter because such thought has gone into every detail. The lig burner in the hobbit house warms it to such a cosy temperature. So glad we have found this place 😍😍
Nothing.

nothing really, maybe a bit dark in the hut during the night time

We’ve never known such bliss! It was better than we could’ve imagined and hosts were so welcoming and helpful

We loved the privacy and quirkiness, it was an ideal restful mini break . Our first time away together and couldn't of been more appropriate as so peaceful. Loved sitting by the fire outside, cooking on it. The Hobbit house was very cosy, was no need to light the log burner even though the weather was stormy. Would highly recommend.
No complaints, probably could of done with taking a cool box to store breakfast items. Perhaps some solar powered fairy lights just to give a glow whilst sitting outside, but didn't detract from a fabulous stay.

Loved the host, the location was spectacular and the pictures don’t do the place justice! It is just incredible. We started a fire to cook our dinner on in the designated fire place and walked nearby to say hello to some sheep and horses. Stunning place to rewind

Went for a weekend away with my boyfriend to the hobbit house and it was better than we expected. It felt like a retreat. We loved it. The garden surrounding the house is private but is also magical and so beautiful. I can't describe how good and restfull this place made us feel. There is a cooker in the outside and a firepit where we cooked out meals. The bed is sooooo comfortable. Everything is very clean and tydi.
Theo welcomed us very well on our arrival and explained everything. We had marshmallows for the fire (something i never tryed before) thank you Theo and Sarah..i loved it 🙂.
We had a wonderful weekend in the Hobbit house and secret garden. We'll be back for sure.
Shower being outside the secret garden. But this is nothing it wouldn't made me stop booking this place again. Just a detail. Still worths every single penny.

I booked the Hobbit House and Secret Garden for a short getaway for my Wife's 40th Birthday. We both loved the peaceful private surroundings. We go camping quite a bit so this place had the feel of camping without having to set anything up. It was like our own little paradise where literally everything had been thought of. The facilities are fantastic - we had our own private toilet and the outdoor kitchen area with gas burners and firepit was like being in our own little woodland retreat whilst having the whole of a wild garden to enjoy the wildlife and watch the sun go down. The adjacent campsite wasn't overcrowded and the showers were clean and constant. The garden is lockable too to keep it one hundred per cent private. In conclusion, a wonderful place to stay - and the Hobbit House is a work of art in itself. Wonderful.

Honesty can’t put into words how much we enjoyed this little slice of heaven in the woods. The perfect place to switch off & shut the world out. The bed was the most comfy bed I’ve ever laid in.

The tranquility
Light in accommodation, dim flickering false candlelight, not bright enough to read
Seeings I was a female solo traveller, in such isolation, the owners who lived onsite didn't bother to check, all was well.
I never did find the shower block, so I just washed in a bucket. Guess I could have phoned them, but as they hadn't shown me, I didn't. No pubs/shop, only persons postman/taxi

Everything from the communication to the welcome at the gate. The whole experience was perfect. My dog is very reactive and anxious so the surrounding garden was amazing had no worries about her being greeted by other dogs or humans. The house was comfortable, the bed was comfy and the added flickering lamp gave the whole feeling of being by candle light. The fire outside and cooking area just made the whole experience amazing. Even after 2 days we were still finding garden statues in the garden long grass. Highly recommended. The entrance was double door so my dog couldn't get out.
Leaving!

This stunning little hut is the perfect quiet, secluded getaway for singles or couples. It's hidden away in the trees with a small section of woodland and garden all to yourselves. Absolutely loved all aspects of this holiday, only wishedc we had booked more time to enjoy the tranquility and many attractions/ activities the surrounding areas had to offer. 10/10. Highly recommended.
There is nothing I disliked about this place.

. It was cosy , had everything you could need to make your stay as easy as possible... a fire pit, two wooden sun chairs with a wooden picnic table so you can eat at the table..gas bbq, kettle, pots, pans, cooking trays and cooking utensils.... also a picnic hamper with all cutlery and plates, bowls, bottle opener, tin opener and salt and pepper, chopping board and lastly napkins, washing up sponge and tea towl... you have your own toilet, big copper sink basin... lovely comfortable double bed, a brilliant torch that is rechargeable. A power outlet with two USB ports and two plugs... there are showers but they are the main camping field along with extra toilets.... you have a massive private garden with two hammocks, a waterfall with a bench to sit at by it .. also a sunset bench that faces directly out over the fields to watch the sunset every night.... a wildlife pond... different statues, sculptures and ornaments .... beautiful beautiful private garden ... also close to Yeovilton airbase so you see a few planes and helicopters going over every now and again which is really cool.... there is a private door way from your own parking space that you can lock from the inside and leads into the top if the hobbit house secret garden with a lamppost right the other side that comes on at night flickering like a flame.... it's just lovely and private and my dog loved it... which is another great plus dogs are welcome.
Inside the hobbit house there is a wood burner with all the supplies for both the firepit and the wood burner supplied, also there is a fireguard tl go round it to protect the dog at night. Theres plenty of storage under the bed and a small attic space above the door inside... it's quaint, beautifully made and rustic... truly lovely ..oh yes lastly... New plants and herbs have been planted, rosemary by the hut and a bay tree by the hammocks and i exoect there were more, there was just so much to look at....Will definitely return 😀
The only thing i would say is a negative is that you defintitley need to drive if you want to go anywhere as it is quite a way out from amenities and to bring a coolbox for your food.

Myself and my partner couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, we loved everything! the hobbit house was cosy and warm and very well equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be returning. wonderful, magical place.
nothing at all.

The entire set up was exactly perfect, so relaxing, perfect place to escape. Very private
Bed was a little hard, a slightly softer mattress would have made the trip perfect. My only criticism
