Great Place to stay.

Loved the style of the whole property and had everything you need. Lovely touches of milk and water included.
It was a bit difficult to find as it is not road side it is a footpath and parking was not as easy as hoped when advertised with parking.

The property really stood out for me, as lots of extra little touches. Milk pods in the fridge, ice cubes in the freezer, tea and coffee available etc. The kitchen is well equipped also. There is a beautiful bath which was great at the end of a cold wet summers day, there's also some toiletries should you forget anything. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable. Would use again and would recommend.
Nothing, all was ok.

The property was exceptionally clean. Host Clare was responding superbly. Loved how comfortable it was with everything explained so well. It had that authentic cottage feel. It scored 10/10 👏👏👏
Whilst the bathroom was excellent, I needed a shelf or a unit near the sink to put my toiletries bag, glasses, mobile phone on. Really needed this shelf or a unit to rest these things on. I used the bath edges instead to rest these bits and pieces.

It was warm, comfortable and very quiet.
It was a little bit out of the centre of town.

The size was larger than expected for a cottage and more than ample for a family. The washing machine really helped as this was our accommodation after already being away from home for 5 days. The bath was really nice. The location to Carmarthen was pretty good so we could access a variety of restaurants if needed.
Pretty much everything else. Sadly, this was a very bad experience for us. Communication with the host was very good until the day of arrival. I confirmed the day before that I would be arriving 2pm-3pm (as the host had agreed we could check in 1 hour early) and I requested pre arrival information but we heard nothing. On the day of check in I still hadn't heard so I called the host twice - no answer. She then replied at 15.24 giving us the lock box code. The property itself is next to a run down pub and only accessible via a long, narrow pathway - parking is on the street not far away. At the time we checked in it was raining heavily so this wasn't ideal with a small child and a lot of luggage.
On walking in, the property smelled very musty and in certain places like a wet dog. The entire property is very worn and although it looked like there had been a surface clean, things like rugs and sofas clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, were stained quite badly and smelled terrible. The kitchen and upstairs are quite dark. The fridge smelled awful. The mattresses though clean are very poor quality - you can feel the springs and they sink. After the first night we looked for alternative accommodation however there was nothing suitable in the area within our price range. My partner slept on the floor in the double room on a camping mat we bought from Argos from the second night. We raised these issues with the host and asked for a partial refund which was refused as 'other people had stayed in the property and had no issues'. I replied challenging this and received no response at all. I then escalated it to Booking.com and provided pictures. They said that the host was still refusing to refund and issued us with £116 back to compensate us.
I don't think it is acceptable to pay £580 for 4 nights accommodation to not sleep and be faced with a horrible smell and dirty facilities.

Really cute cottage, lovely host, beautiful decor. Very homely.
Totally personal preference but I find double beds too small to share.

The location of keys was via a lockbox
The access to the property was away from the road and a 100m path needed to be traversed down from the road. Which meant our cases would need to be dragged down this path. This was not noted on the advert. My partner has mobility issues and we would not have chosen this cottage had we known.

Lovely quirky house. There was plenty of Tea Coffee, Milk when we arrived. A welcoming message to me and the family.
Clare's attention to detail, second to none
A really wonderful stay, will definitely come again.
The only issue was a musty smell and signs of having had a damp issue. Kept the windows wide open while we were there.
It did not spoil our stay.
Many Thanks Clare.
Nora Thomas & Family.
Musty smell as explained above.

A cute and well equipped cottage, with plenty of room.
There is no cooling. A couple of portable fans would have been perfect for sleeping in the hot weather.

The property was exactly what we wanted and needed, a comfortable, cosy and lovely home, it was close to local attractions and amenities, yet retained the quiet and cosy appeal we wanted.
The steam punk decor highlights, best bathroom on Booking.com! it was just cosy, felt like home.
3.5
The property inside was well equipped and comfortable.
The steps down from the bedrooms and up to the bathroom were tricky for people with mobility issues. Grab rails would have helped.
A waste bin in the bathroom would be a good idea.
The pub alongside the property unfortunately gave us a first bad impression which is a shame because the house is perfectly fine.
4.5
Plenty of room. Good location. Was concerned initially about on street parking but no problem whatsoever. A pub next door was no issue either. No noise.
Not the house for anyone with mobility issues due to the steps upstairs between the bedrooms and the bathroom.

the décor and the facilities are beautiful.

The location was great and we were able to walk into town.

A lovely house with lots of room and well decorated and equipped. It’s a convenient place to stay for exploring the area.
Try to arrive in daylight as the path to walk to the house is quite dark.

Host Clare has made a real effort and offers a well presented and cosy rental. Its well decorated throughout with thoughtful details and the beds where very comfy and sheets & towels where excellently clean. Great facilities and the location is good but you do need a car or bike ideally to get into Carmarthen. There is a pub next door which I was worried about noise but there was non to my surprise and we stayed Friday and Saturday nights, the place was very quiet. If you like being next door to a pub to have a drink this would suit you, they also do food, but we didn't visit the pub. The cottage was well heated and the bathroom has a lovely shower and bath.
The house in general is a little bit tired and well loved in places, walls, floors, doors , fixtures etc and the living room couches could be cleaner. However, this is really not an issue when staying a short trip. Parking wasn't ideal, its on road and a very short walk down a side path to the cottage, having said that, we didn't struggle to find a parking space at any point. Something to consider if mobility is a issue.
