Really old and beautiful place smack bang in the middle of the city!!
It would have been nice to open more windows as airco is not allowed because it is a monumental building

beautiful room, lovely garden but most importantly the professional and friendly staff.
I’m not a big breakfast eater and would prefer the option of ordering breakfast à la carte.

Both the hotel and the room were outstanding and we liked the mix of the old and modern style which was very fitting to the hotel. The room itself was very spacious and we had a lovely view of the so-called Prinsentuin - the park adjacent to the hotel - which is also a famous sight of Groningen and which we would highly recommend to check out. The breakfast buffet was beyond our expectations, with many options of spread, juices, pastries etc. to choose from. We also tried one of their restaurants (brasserie) and were very satisfied with the service and food. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and professional and made us feel like home. A nice touch to our stay was the fact that we could rent bikes from the hotel for free plus we had a little bar in our room with complementary drinks and snacks that were being refilled everyday. The hotel is located close to the center of Groningen and all of the sights are within reach either by foot or bike. All in all, we loved our stay here and we would always choose to stay here again when back in Groningen.
Nothing to complain about! :)

beautiful hotel, we enjoyed everything about it, including location!
nothing

The room was quirky and lovely, the location couldn't be more central - everything within walking distance, breakfast buffet delicious in the sunlit former chapel with stained glass windows. The historic buildings and location were beautiful and fascinating.
The only downside really was the parking situation - valet parking is available but pricey and the more affordable option is a 600m walk away. But I think that just is the trade-off when you have a mediaeval building in a central location.

Awesome hotel in an even better location. Room with the fireplace was so comfortable and large. Loved the staff and the breakfast is VERY nicely done.

The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere
The upstairs guests were walking in their room from 6 o clock. We could clearly hear where they were walking. Also the beds were not that comfortable. The pillows were too soft. The valid parking price wasn’t mentioned before we used it.

The stay at the Prinsenhof was unique. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room very nice with a great view of the park and the tower. The location of the hotel is sensational.

Beautifully renovated historical building, nice room design, good breakfast, perfect location in the historical centre.

Great historical building and location with very friendly service. Coffee maker in the room, free minibar and fragrant toiletries.
The breakfast service was good, but not adequate for the price level in terms of choice, attention and speed. For example, coffee only self-service with a queue at the machine, only one type of yoghurt (natural), egg dishes only on request.

Prinsenhof is in a prime location and looks beautiful in the night light. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly. There was a generous and delicious selection of pastries, cold meats, cheeses, and fruit for breakfast. Check in and check out were very simple and streamlined.
For the price, the room amenities were limited. There was no hand cream in the toilet and although the minibar was complementary, the selection was disappointing - only water and coke for non-drinkers. The in-room couch cushions had not been cleaned and there was some stuff between the cushions showing that it had not been cleaned thoroughly.

extremely sound permeable old wood ceilings. You hear every step of the guests above you as of they would be hammering on your door….this is not acceptable for such a royal price.
