Un très bel hébergement au calme

Nous avons apprécié la taille et le confort de la chambre familiale. Un peu excentrée mais du coup au calme, un gros plus. Le petit-déjeuner était bon et le personnel très agréable Nous recommandons cet hébergement vivement.

Amazing for a sunset and sunrise

The view from the hill is really nice. Sunrise on the terrace where we had breakfast was amazing. The breakfast itself also very tasty especially the Sri Lankan omelette. Staff is very friendly, too.

Lovely hotel, great location and staff

Spacious family room, good bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Plentiful breakfast. Amazing view. Nice lounge area. Great location.

New hotel felt slight false advertising with facilities on booking.com

Staff appeared friendly

Mould and ants in bathroom. False advertisement- stated washing machine. Was not told they only except cash and ended up delaying check out because had to find an atm.

Lovely relaxing house for busy Kandy!

Lovely house with a gorgeous terrace and comfy beds. The showers are hot, and the staff are lovely. Great location - walk into candy city in 15 minutes but away from the hustle and bustle. They organised our tuktuk’s for us too!

The wifi was quite intermittent (no big deal!)

Cadre exceptionnel mais organisation défaillante

Le cadre, l'emplacement et l'établissement sont magnifiques Le personnel très gentil et attentionné Très bon petit déjeuner

Les formalités de départ ont été catastrophiques : la facture de la chambre n'était pas prête ( a leur demande j'ai du leur donner au dernier moment le montant de la chambre validé avec booking car personne ne savait sur place combien nous facturer Mr) , le linge que nous avions donné à laver n'était pas revenu de la laudry, la facturation des boissons prises durant notre séjour à été oubliée et le montant nous a été demandé une fois que nous étions montés dans le tuk tuk, tout ça alors que nous leur avions bien précisé que nous étions pressé avec un train à prendre le matin Manque totale d organisation pour le Check out ce qui diminue la note globale de l'établissement, qui pour tout le reste était parfait

Lovely stay, great staff and perfect distance to be removed from the busyness of Kandy but still close enough to walk in

Lovely view from the Terrace, very friendly and welcoming staff, beautiful house and only a short (20min) walk along the lake into Kandy centre. Very accommodating staff.

The air conditioning was a little difficult to manage, couldn’t quite get it to a cool temperature which meant the room was a little stuffy.

Położony na stromym wzgórzu, nieco dziwny hotel

Do udogodnień w pokoju nie mam żadnych uwag - wszystko było na wysokim poziomie, w łazience ciepła woda, łóżka czyste i wygodne. Również śniadanie, podane na tarasie z fajnym widokiem, bardzo dobre.

Miejsce aspiruje do ekskluzywnego hotelu, jako osoby podróżujące budżetowo czuliśmy się nieco niezręcznie, gdy zajmowała się nami czteroosobowa (w całości męska) obsługa. Nieprzyjemnym tego aspektem był fakt, że nasz kierowca nie został w ogóle wpuszczony do środka (podobno pierwszy raz go to spotkało). Kolejna wada to bardzo stromy i wąski dojazd.

Ruhige Lage für Aufenthalt in Kandy

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstück europäisch und zusätzlich Sri Lanka, sehr gut. Schöne Villa am Stadtrand, Architektur toll.

WLAN im Zimmer schwach, auf dem Gemeinschaftsbalkon gut. Zimmer könnte etwas besser gepflegt werden. Tee zwischendurch wird angeboten und kostet extra.

Amazing view, nice rooms and the best people

Kingsman House is situated on a hill so you have a great view over Kandy. Everything is super clean and well maintained and the breakfast was very abundant and included next to a western style breakfast different freshly made Sri Lankan goods that we could try every day. On our day of departure we even got a wonderful breakfast to go, as we had to leave very early to take the train. The heart of Kingsman House however is definitely the staff. Every single one was super friendly and helpful. Out two year old daughter was always so happy to return to the hotel to play with „her friends“ as they made her feel so welcome and spoiled her with flowers every day. Thank you, Anthony, Issu, Hashan and Fernando!

Friendly people, stunning view & warm (pressures) shower

We really liked that the hotel was close to the city centre but away from the chaos. Also the staff of the hotel is absolutely amazing! Super friendly and always there for us. Lastly, the view from Kingsman House was stunning!

Only the bathroom was a little tiny.

Hotel con muchísimo encanto

Hotel increíble! Es una antigua casa reformada preciosa y super limpia. Al llegar nos sirvieron el té en una terraza con vistas a la ciudad de Kandy. El personal es encantador, super amables y acogedores. Tuvimos un pequeño problema y lo solucionaron en seguida. También nos recomendaron un restaurante para cenar cerca del alojamiento con buena calidad-precio. Nos hubiese gustado quedarnos más tiempo disfrutando del hotel y sus vistas.

Todo estaba perfecto.

Super schönes Haus, mega persönlich, super nette Hosts, die sich toll gekümmert haben! Als Alleinreisende Frau habe ich mich sehr sicher gefühlt!

Liegt ein bisschen abschüssig, aber mit Tuktuk total in Ordnung!

Comfortable, spacious and clean with wonderful staff

We loved this place! We stayed in the quadruple room with lake view, which we found to be large, with comfortable beds and up to date furnishings. The property is beautiful, with multiple patios and spots to sit and enjoy tea. A delicious breakfast buffet was served on an outdoor patio. But the best part was the staff, Anthony and his team were gracious and very accommodating. They put together a small celebration for the guests on New Year's Eve, very thoughtful. While we were there, we needed to get our car repaired, and one of the staff actually took it himself to get it fixed. That was really above and beyond, and so appreciated! It's about a 25 minute walk or 10 minute tuk tuk ride into the center of Kandy. It's a little tough driving up the hill, but once you're there it's definitely worth it. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy.

Lovely Stay at Beautiful Villa with Amazing Staff

Amazing villa and very friendly and attentive staff! It was super clean, the breakfast was delicious and we had the best shower in Sri Lanka after 3 weeks of traveling. Thank you!!!

Wij hebben hier een onwijs fijn verblijf gehad. Het huis was erg mooi en schoon en de eigenaren waren erg behulpzaam. Bij het ontbijt kregen we vers fruit, eieren en toast. Wij waren in de avond vrij moe en wilden liever niet meer de deur uit. De eigenaar was zo lief om eten en een fles wijn voor ons te bestellen. Dit hebben we opgegeten op het balkon waarbij je erg mooi uitzicht hebt. Kortom, wij zouden hier zeker nogmaals verblijven

Het was wel eventjes lopen naar het centrum, maar dat was makkelijk op te lossen met een tuktuk

A great stay with great service

Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and great view of the lake and city. Manager went above and beyond for us making us feel welcome. Very tasty and good portion of breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Location is a little far out but only a 500 rupee tuktuk ride to centre

Great place to stay with family when visiting Kandy

The property looks like a colonial house converted to a home stay. The room was very spacious with good bedding, hot water and Air conditioing. Staff was there to always help. Good balcony with a great view of the city. Breakfast was good with tea/coffee, fruits, bread with jam and butter and eggs of your choice.

The property has good views of the city, located at an elevation, so the roads leading to the property is a a bit narrow and slope, but has good parking on the property. internet was a bit slow inside the room, was fine in the lobby, could add extenders for better coverage inside the rooms.

Exceptional

The location is just wow ! This gives an astonishing view over kandy. View from the lobby alone is relaxing. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was above the expectation with delicious food. Highlight goes for the staff, very polite and efficient. Ravi, Chamil and one who served us (forgot his name) were very hospitable and went out of there way to make our stay memorable. Highly recommended!

Great value for money.

Breakfast by the balcony was delicious. View was beautiful. Place was quiet. Rooms were very clean. They only offered breakfast but we had delivery ordered for dinner as we did not want to go outside.

Beautiful building, good location, amazing staff!

The two staff in the guesthouse are extremely nice and friendly. We arrived late as the train was delayed. It was new moon festival and many restaurants were closed. They don’t cook dinner in the guesthouse but when we asked if they could order food, they did right away. It was very good Sri Lankan vegetarian food. We asked for Sri Lankan breakfast and the staff happily agreed to it. We were given afternoon tea without billing. The building itself is well-maintained and very clean. Its location is marvelous as it provides a view of Kandy and the lake. Since it’s a bit higher up, it’s quiet and we didn’t even switch on the AC.
