Excellent place, conveniently located (very close to town), a lot of fun there, it includes parking for up to 4 cars and bikes. Highly recommended. The owner is super nice
Nada, all good in the hood.

Central, clean, chilled. And Mitchaelle is great
Nothing really. Can hear all local stuff at night & one night music very late into the early hours morning

Kein Problem.

Location close to town, but still quiet spot at night.
One of the cheaper options in town. Owner was very friendly.

not far from the main road, comfortable room, very clean. good value for money in this area.
the location for the property was incorrect. I called the host and she said she was going out for one hour and it wasn’t her problem. I asked nearby and someone directed me, luckily I found the property before she left and had a quick check in. however, after this incident, the host was friendly and helpful to me. the bathroom could do with an upgrade.

It was two short blocks from the main street. Quiet but still close.
The owners were very attentive. Polite and pleasant to talk to.

location was good
we got a small bunkbed room, which wasnt on the pictures. the room didnt have a glasswindow, just bars, so it was a bit noisy, especially when other guests are sitting in front. the owner moved our stuff around while we were gone. no kitchen.

Lovely host, takes alot of pride in the upkeep of her resort. The only thing I missed was having a common area in the first level. Upstairs had better seating outside.

The owner is very sweet! The rooms are clean and the you get good value for your money. Really close by the beach and the center of Puerto Viejo.

Michelle was kind and the room ok but overall it was not worth 200 usd for 3 nights. Also the laundry for few clothes has been very expensive (13 usd).

Cabinas Mitchaelle's was clean, friendly, and had such great energy. It was such a bonus having a shower located right outside our room to wash sand off and we felt incredibly safe staying here. Our rooms were also cleaned and extra towels were supplied, they went above and beyond. Excellent hosts, would love to come back again.

Location is perfect close to the action but not so much to the noise, Mitchaelle is very kind and helpful, and we felt safe in this property and area. When coming back to Puerto Viejo I’ll likely stay here again.
It’s a great value for the money, honestly no complaints from my side.

I like the price and the lady was nice. the bed was quite comfortable.
the property claimed to have wifi but it wasn’t in my room no when I died she told me to use wifi I had to sit in the hall. I was very tired at that time and didn’t have the energy to sit in the hall.

LOCATION - it was just a few minutes walk from the main area, but far enough away so it was nice and quiet. I appreciated that this wasn’t a party hostel.
HOST / OWNER- she went above and beyond for me. she gave me some food, let me use some dishes and even did my laundry for free. she gave me advice and recommendations and always a warm welcome when I walked in. she asked permission to clean my room and gave me fresh towels, clean sheets and some candy! :)
VALUE - good value for the money. I had my own room and a shared bathroom. it was clean, and I had a great working fan.
- wifi could be a little stronger in the rooms at night (the morning was fine for some reason)
- it would have been nice if there was a kitchen area we could use (at least a microwave). but there was a great fridge for the guests!

Great position, quiet by close to everything. Staff
went out of their way to improve my stay.
the room was small but I expected that given the
very reasonable price.

sparkling clean Ms mitchaelle works tirelessly around her property ensuring cleanliness cleans sheets towels toilets floors everything!!!! all while being super kind and hospitable. hot showers was a plus even in the Costa Rican heat. I traveled alone and she made me feel like I was home away from home felt like I was just visiting my aunt haha! property was very safe & secure. laundry was available onsight! wifi worked okay from my room & lighting fast outside my room and around property grounds. Property was away from noisy roads but still within perfect 2-4 min walking distance to all of shops/restaurants/ the beach etc. I'd highly recommend this place!

We loved everything about our stay of 4 nights! Amazing host, really clean rooms and reasonable WiFi! Also great location in the centre of Puerto Viejo, but still nice and quiet in the evening. We would definitely come back!
We liked everything!

Mitchaelle is an incredible host and one of the hardest working people you will find. She’s constantly cleaning and changing sheets/towels every two days (we stayed for 8). We tried to tell her to spend more time in the hammock but she wouldn’t listen :-) rooms are small, but comfy and very clean (there are some bigger options available). She went above and beyond to give us a cutting board and knife for the wonderful fruit here. She also gave us a coffee maker too. Anything you need, just ask-she’s wonderful. There is a clean fridge to store food in as well. Most of puerto viejo is this style of cabin, but Hers was quiet and very clean. Thanks again Mitchaelle!
There was lots of construction in the city streets and on one of the rooms, but it’s not a permanent thing, just poor timing for our stay. Could use a wifi extender in the upper back for people working and traveling like myself (but it does encourage you to put the phone/computer down and get outside!).

Price.
No wifi in the room, no room cleaning (1 out of 4 nights only), water doesn’t work very often.
The biggest problem is rude owner. Constant attitude and passive aggressiveness. I suggest googling something about customer service skills. I don’t recommend staying here, place has much more cons then pros.

The place is super clean. Its nice to get away from the crowds. Everything is within walking distance. If there is anything you need, Mitchell will try to help you. She gave me some plates, fork, and cup to use. There is a fridge to store food.
Cold shower
