Perfect for visiting first world war sites, and a lovely little town

The location was perfect - just a short drive from the centre of town. The villa was comfortable and spotless, the hosts friendly and helpful and the breakfast first class. I highly recommend Villa Vanilla is you are heading to Ypres.

A beautiful villa and lovely breakfast

A lovely room, in a very beautiful house just on the outskirts of Ypres. The breakfast was beautiful, one of the best we experienced on our trip. There is space to sit and relax both inside and outside also which is a lovely bonus.

Very nice stay at Villa Vanilla

Owner was very kind and accommodated our unexpected late arrival. The bed was so comfortable and breakfast had a great variety of delicious food! Home is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Christa is so nice to visit with & offered good advice about traveling in the area.

The first morning other people staying there were up at 6am, talking loudly outside our door. I found the tub/shower in our room a little awkward to use.

Our host, Christa, made us so welcome. The room was very comfy and our breakfast sumptuous.We enjoyed a great day out on the bicycles that were free to use. A really enjoyable stay.

The attention to detail was fabulous. Beautifully set out breakfast, with lovely variety. Use of cycle bikes to cycle into town centre. Can sit out in garden or in sitting room. Tea and coffee in rooms. Lovely and clean with very friendly hosts. We really enjoyed our stay, Thankyou!

Lovely place & breakfast

I truly adored everything! The room was super comfortable, spacious, and clean. The bathroom was also quite large. The bed was really comfy. The fact that the accommodation is not in a central location makes the place very quiet and nice for a good rest at night. There were bicycles available for the customers, so they could be used to easily reach the center of the city. There was also a cute garden around the accommodation. I especially enjoyed the amazing breakfast we had! There were several types of bread, cheese, and jams, fresh orange juice, tea, milk, some pastries, fruit, and the owner of the accommodation even prepared us some scrambled eggs with bacon at our request! It is definitely a place I would comeback to!

I remember No warm water in shower and common Senseo was disgusting.

Nice garden, well located, decent breakfast, easy parking.

We took the biggest and most expensive room and did not have warm water in the shower - not in the evening, not in the morning. The water tank of the common Senseo leaked and was BLACK inside - not cleaned in a few years - disgusting! Flies and musquito’s in the room. No return.

Couple’s retreat

It was a nice private house, peaceful and quiet. The host was lovely and we especially enjoyed the breakfast. Our room was really cozy with a big bath. The bed was big and soft.
