Hidden Paradise

Die Anlage ist super schön. Man kommt richtig zur Ruhe. Die Gastgeberin war freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.

Spacious apartments and relaxing garden.

We had a super relaxing stay at Michela’s place. The apartment was very spacious and the garden with swimming pool is a good place to chill. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood and also the city’s plaza center is only a small walk away.

Good atmosphere but a bit expensive for a house that does not provide a relaxing experience, with difficulties to sleep

Lots of noise during the night, dogs and cats walking and shouting, even a rooster singing at 1am… not so relaxing Room not ready when arriving at 4pm

I don't recommend this host, we booked two apartments, but get one when we arrived, and didn't get the refund till today. Host said that it was booking mistake but assured us about the refund. Booking doesn't want to help us neither, because they say that host has to accept the refund. Its unacceptable. The host promised me half of refund (for one apartment which we didn't get because others were occupied). We were on holiday as a two couple. One must have slept on the floor because it was Easter holiday and weekend and there was no free vacancy in the whole town. I feel cheated and don't recommend this place. I'm still waiting for my money back.

Pretty space, but not what we expected and not value for money

10 minute walk from the centre, and 15 minute walk to the public lagoon. Spacious room and kitchen, bathroom was nice. Our host was very nice, quick to respond to any message and helped with activities in Bacalar.

Hot water lasted only 2 minutes and then would be freezing. When we arrived, the pool was murky and full of leaves. We were assured that it would be clean the next day, however 3 days later it was still unswimmable due to the amount of debris. Lots of noise from construction next door and across the street being a hardware store, it was deafening inside the room. We booked this place as we thought it was a private outdoor space with a private pool, however our room didn’t have any private outdoor space and the pool was shared between all three rooms.

enjoyable stay

the property is in a good location short walk to the public lagoon access and not to far from town centre to walk for dinner, lunch etc. the instructions given to locate the property were easy to follow and we had no issues finding the apartment which is only a 10 minute walk from the ado bus station.

the wifi worked for the first few hours of our stay and stoped working completely after that

Comfortable, cosy, private, easy.

The room was really nice, cosy, comfortable. The host was really nice and helped us with a few great tips. The pool was nice. You can walk to most things around the town, a really nice, safe place to stay.

Beautiful place, terrible check-in

The place is really beautiful, designed, big 2 rooms. very close to lagoon and close to the main square

We have bad experience with check in as we didnt receive e-mail how to check in (no reception) + there is no sign about the hotel. Nobody picked up the phone. Fortunately some lady next door helped us to get in (btw the key locker was covered by blood which was quite scary and disgusting). The owner didn’t send us even the wifi password until the second evening. Hairdryer missing Smell of mold

Fine stay

Nice, comfortable room, quite close to the lake. Bathroom was clean. Fridge was nice to have. Secluded space, feels private.

The airco in the upstairs apartment is not really aircon, more like a fan in addition to the other fan. It was fine for sleeping but during the day the room gets very hot. The shower curtain kept falling down on the floor. There were a lot of ants in the room when we arrived. Be aware that the neighbour likes to play loud (and bad) music in the evening and morning. Also there is a rooster nearby with a broken internal clock because it kept making noise at odd times (2 o’clock at night): so bring earplugs!

Great studio with kitchenette so you can prepare your own breakfast/lunch. nice to have a patio both private and shared.

Confortable property close to the laguna

A very cute and traditional room, close to the city center, confortable for a 3 nights stay. The private jacuzzi is an additional extra equipment very appreciated for couples

The room was very noisy due to the animals in the neighbourhood.

Exceptional

The Apartment is located close to the center and on a property with 2 other Apartments. The property is a dream. We enjoyed the pool and hanging out under trees and in the sun. The communication with the owner was very good and quick. Thank you for all. we enjoyed it a lot.

nice but too noisy

Nice place in walking distance to the city center and the lagoon. Newly build, clean and nicely designed. Lovely garden with pool. Host is very nice, speaks fluently english and is reachable via WhatsApp.

Very noisy, even for Mexico. Walls must be made out of paper. You hear every word from your up floor-neigbors. When they walk arround it sounds like an earthquake and when they turn on the whirlpool at 2 AM you think the apocalypse has finally arrived. Luckily the Dutch guy above us was a qiuck juicer, so at least those kind of noises were just a short annoyance...
