About this house rental
Come fall in love with our Creole Cottage built in 1894 dripping with historic charm such as 14' ceilings, French & pocket doors, heart pine floors & four fireplaces-one in every room!
Originally 2 homes, they have been combined and modern conveniences such as a large granite topped kitchen island, dishwasher, laundry room and central heat and air have been added for your comfort. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and appliances, coffee and sugar. There is WIFI & 2 smart TVs.
The walkability of this location is amazing! Located in the Marigny Triangle, you are 5 blocks to the best live music in the country, Frenchmen St. where you find dozens of clubs, a different band playing in each, usually for the price of a drink. This is the best place for swing jazz and you can even take a lesson if you'd like.
You are also walking distance to the French Market, Jackson Square and of course, Bourbon St. as well as Armstrong Park, streetcar lines & cemetaries, including St. Louis #1. Just a couple blocks away: Robert grocery store, Budsi's Thai, Iggy's Bar, Ruby Slipper Cafe, & Kajun's Pub, a karaoke bar. And SO MUCH MORE!
We bought this home for its charm and proximity to the music. The decor is music themed, and most pieces have been purchased from local artists. The Royal Carriages is located across the street and you will love seeing and hearing them come and go. It's easy to imagine life in another time when you hear the clop clopping passing by.
As you plan your trip, please remember that while you are on vacation, this is a residential neighborhood and we are a tight knit group. Please be respectful and adhere to the noise ordinance which states that in residential neighborhoods quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No parties and no smoking inside.
You don’t need a car to have a great time here. Buses & street cars are a short walk away. There is 2 hour on street parking in front of the house however you are better off around the corner on Pauger or St. Anthony as it's not timed on those streets. The closest parking lot is a 6 minute walk from the house. If you are wanting to do a day trip you can rent a car nearby and they will even come pick you up. There are also several companies that will take you out of the city to tour the swamps, the plantations, etc.
Thank you for considering our property for your trip to New Orleans. Laissez les bons temps roulez!

Off the beaten path yet within walking distance of anywhere I wanted to go in the French Quarter and Marigny, this cottage was the perfect location. I loved the high ceilings and tasteful decor. Locals still look out for their neighbors here and parking was secure and easy.

Mardi gras weekend to MG day. Awesome spot, convenient to Quarter, Bywater and local revelry. Was even festivly decorated for the occasion. Host Renee was lovely and gracious.

Great, spacious accommodations a stone's throw from the French Quarter and right up the road from Frenchmen Street! Had a great time with great and very communicative hosts.

The place's location is close to Fremont Street and not far from the French Quarter; both within walking distance. The neighborhood itself is in the process of being gentrified. The place is nice but could use better closet/storage space.

We just loved our stay in NOLS at this home. So conveniently located, you can walk to Frenchmen, hear some music, or walk a little further and you are right in the Quarter. We rented bikes and rode all over, that was a great experience! If you want to go even farther out, you are still within walking distance of the trolley. Of course, you can drive as well.
The house itself is super cute, just what we needed. Nice open plan, and two generous bedrooms- what more could you need? Owner was very helpful and responsive.

My wife and some friends took a trip to NOLA for our 24th wedding annivesary from Texas. We landed in NOLA at 7am and luckily I was able to request an early check in time, 9am, with Renee! The place was BEAUTIFUL as soon as we walked in. There was so much New Orleans decor and vibe in the home.
The bedroom were very nice, the beds were comfortable, the linens and bedding were clean and plenty of storage area for our clothes and necessities. The living room & dining room were nice, we used the TV to play music while we sat together at the dinner table. The kitchen had everything we needed from pots & pans to glasses and utensils were all there! The fridge kept our drinks cold and the ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge was a PLUS! The stove & oven were perfect for late night left overs we brought back from the restaurants we visited.
The washer & dryer worked great and was a HUGE plus, we washed everything before we left so there wasn't the dreaded "wash day" when we got back to Texas. The bathroom was nice & clean, plenty of cabinet area for the wives make up and necessities.
Location wise..was GREAT! Renee's information book was full of nearby restaurants, bars and places of interest! The walk to Bourbon and Frenchmen Streets weren't very long and were nice. Renee is the BEST, she was a text away morning, noon and night! Definitely a place to stay for anyone looking to experience NOLA and have a blast on Bourbon St.

I stayed at the property during Essence Festival 2023; 4 total adult guests. It was cute and had the chaming "New Orleans" feel along with updated appliance. The place is really nice and the neighbirhood, though in the mid city, is pretty quiet.
The host was very responsiveness and was very helpful.
I highly recommend staying in this spot.

Renee was fantastic. She went above and beyond in both communication and facilitating any of our questions and requests.

The property was beautifully kept and exactly as listed. Very clean and comfortable on a quiet street. Every morning we watched the horse carriages across the street. Perfect walking distance to multiple neighborhoods. Just blocks from wonderful restaurants.

My wife, her 82 year old mother, and I stayed here in April 2023. Our first impressions were that the advertised pictures perfectly represented the property. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and were pleasantly surprised with the assortment of kitchen pots and pans and gadgets like a garlic press and an extra coffee carafe. We did not rent a car for our first week and relied on walking and Uber/Lyft to get around. We felt perfectly safe in our own neighborhood walking to restaurants, bars, and Roberts Market.

We had a great time and the hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Really great location with a quick walk to French market area and even easier Uber to bourbon st.

First time staying off of Bourbon street in the Faubourg Marigny section of the city. We felt safe and most everything we needed was within walking distance. A little further than we expected to walk to Bourbon street area but it was definitely still doable. Frenchmen street is close and a lot of fun! The property is beautiful and well maintained. We would definitely recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay and the property was fantastic! The location couldn't be better for those who want to explore Frenchman street and the surrounding area. Easy check-in and check-out as well.

Stayed here with our two young boys (both 3 and under). Place was nice, very clean, and had everything we were looking for as-advertised. Location was very good, particularly close to Frenchmen St and a couple good restaurants, but also relatively close to a nice grocery store which is key with young kids.

I met Chase upon arrival. I believe he's maintenence. He was helpful and kind.
We were locked out at 2am Sunday night and luckily Chase answered and was able to let us in. I'm so glad we had his number. I was unable to reach the property managers. The neighbors were friendly.

Spent a weekend here with some friends. The place is perfect for 4 people. Close to everything and the neighborhood felt very safe. Really enjoyed our stay!

We loved our time at the ‘Jazzy NOLA Stays’. The house had modern amenities and was comfortable but had many historic elements to help you enjoy the house’s long history. The location is good, a 10-15 minute walk to the French Quarter.

Excellent location, close enough to all of the food/music/fun and just far enough to get some peace when needed. The house had all the charm of the city. We absolutely loved it.

Found this gem
By chance. How lucky! It’s in a great location. Neighborhood has great vibes. We are stoop sitters and met lots of great neighbors. Close walk or lyft to anywhere. Lots of character close to venues and great food. Leave the hotels for the beach and live life as close as you can as a “local”. You won’t regret it.
