About this house rental
Paradise Park was built during the cotton boom of the 1870s for a wealthy French creole family and retains much of its original character today. A very spacious home at almost 4,000 sq ft which has 11' ceilings & extremely large windows with abundant natural light. The house can comfortably sleep plenty of people with a total of 8 beds, & there is plenty of room to spread out. We are only a short stroll from the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, & the trolley car line. Stay & play like a local steps from it all!
One of the best features of this stately townhouse is the exquisite salt-water pool and spa in the rear courtyard! Perfect to cool down after a summertime jaunt, or to warm up during the crisp winter nights in New Orleans...
Please note; the city of New Orleans requires an accurate guest count and you must enter all guests on your VRBO reservation. We do charge per guest, per night. Any guests that are not on your reservation will not be permitted to stay at the house. If a complaint is filed and you have more guests than the number you have booked for, then your entire group will be evicted with no refund. You may update your guest count at any time up until your check in date.
Check-in/out information:
About a week prior to your arrival we will send you an information package with check in and out details, restaurant recommendations, and our activity guide. In that information, you will see the note about an in-person check in; please contact our house manager with your expected arrival time to set up a meet & greet with him. This is required in order to check in to our home. He does live nearby and can be at the house within minutes in the event of an emergency. In addition to in-person check-in, an in-person check-out is required to stay in our home. At check-out we do clean and disinfect the entire house after you, but you will be expected to complete the following in order to avoid "extra" housekeeping charges. If any of these things are not completed, you will be charged an additional $250 against your damage deposit (per occurrence);
-Place all used linens (towels, bath mats) in front of the washing machine
-Either wash your used dishes and put them back where you got them. Or load the dishwasher and turn it on so that its running when we arrive for your walk-through. No dishes should be left anywhere in the house
-Return all items, furniture, etc. to their original locations, this includes all outside items. Put any umbrellas, furniture, etc back where you found them
-Take all trash out to the trash cans outside; no trash should be left inside the house at our arrival.

Beautifully restored home moments from the music and entertainment of Frenchmen St. Our group of 8 including four teens could not have been more pleased.

We rented this home for the "grown-ups" for our daughter's 21st birthday trip. It was meant to be the quiet place for the adults to escape to. This house was perfect for that! The house is full of old southern charm in a quiet neighborhood but still walkable to everything. A block and a half to Frenchman, a couple blocks from Bourbon Street. So happy we found this place.

This is our second time staying at Joshua’s property in Marigny and it was just as lovely as the last. The house is amazingly appointed and has the perfect French Victorian flare. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows and linens for our party of 9. The pool and back yard is lovely as well. Also the location is fantastic and the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. We will definitely return to this property again soon. If you are undecided on this property, dig in and book your stay in this house and you won’t be disappointed.

This was a perfect place for our group of 6. Very cozy beds and spaces for everyone to either congregate or get some space. Pool was lovely and refreshing after an outing. Very responsive hosts! Thank you!

Just far enough away from the noise and traffic of French Quarter. But still close enough to walk to all the hot spots and delicious restaurants in the Quarter and Frenchmen Street. House was perfect!

Though the pictures are beautiful, they did not do this beautiful home justice. It is stunningly decorated and well loved. The hosts were hospitable and patient with our large party, and the property manager was helpful and a total vibe. We are so happy we came!

The nine of us had a great time. The house was comfortable and the host very accommodating. We would love to go back!

This home is in the perfect walking location to the the quarter! You are only 1 to 2 blocks from Robert Market, the Ruby Slipper, and delicious sushi. The Ffrench order is just 3-4 blocks away where you can find all the shopping and dinner/drinks that you will need. The neighborhood is super quiet so it’s nice to go out and then come home to some peaceful relaxation in the pool. Communication with the hosts was super helpful and easy. They even gave us a list of things to visit, including restaurants, tours, and shops. We will definitely return to this property for our next visit to.NOLA! It’s maximalist charm was perfect for out friends getaway!

The location was perfect for visiting Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. Area felt very safe. The pool was amazing! Although neighbors are close, it felt very private. Just what we needed. Unique accommodations….historical with all modern conveniences. Property was clean and had everything we needed.

This was the perfect place for my hubby and I and our 4 kids (and their significant others). The home itself is beautiful and furnished well. The pool was a great way to cool down in the July heat. We brought our Corgi mix and he loved taking long walks around the neighborhood.
PROS:
- Depsite being in a busy neighborhood, the home was really quiet at night
- Fully furnished kitchen
-Super comfy beds and bedding
- POOL to beat the heat
-_Fantastic location to walk to the French Quarter and Frenchmen St
-Plenty of room for a large group to spread out
- Lots of great restaurants within walking distance
- The porch swing was a fun place to sit and drink coffee in the morning
_Great communication from the hosts
CONS: (These are super nit-picky and would not make me not stay there again)
- The coffee pot could be replaced. It's hard to get it brewing
- The flooring is old and there is some hardware that sticks out and I stepped on with bare feet - they hurt. They're mostly on the sides of the room and not in the middle of the floor or anything.
Overall - I highly recommed this home. It was a great time and I hope we'll be back soon.

We wished we could have stayed longer and taken in more sites. The home made our rest times comfortable and interesting. We will definitely request to stay again.

Elderly grandparents and kids 2, 4, 6, and 8. Perfect pool for heat wave, kids could have stayed there entire time! Quiet neighborhood, but convenient walk to all the hot spots after kids’ bedtime. Even better in person, thank you!

Our family and friends (9) made a road trip from Virginia, with canine companions, to mark my daughter’s graduation from Tulane. The house was beautifully decorated, but the furnishings were also comfortable, as if I was at a friend’s house, and I could relax. I really enjoyed walking the dogs in the morning around the neighborhood. It’s convenient to everything but very residential and away from the “crazy”. I love my stay at this home and hope that we can come back soon.

Our stay at Paradise Park was absolutely wonderful! We were with a group of 9 total friends and the house felt extremely spacious for everyone. The location couldn't have been better - close walking distance to both the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street, while still being in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The house was well stocked with everything we could have needed and there were no issues with cleanliness or utilities. The pool was to die for and become our hangout spot for the whole weekend!

Again an incredible time had by all! The home is great! Comfortable, clean and close to French Quarter. But not too close! So nice and quite at night easy to sleep. Managers are great to work with too! Our second time staying here.

We have stayed here twice now and are planning our next visit. We absolutely love the peace of the courtyard and pool. This place provides relaxation only blocks from many great restaurants and bars. The two restaurants at the end of the block are both incredible. I wrote a more detailed review about the house after our first stay. Now that we are repeat customers I'm not sure I can offer higher praise.

The house is as advertised. It was well stocked (shampoo, LOTs of towels, etc) and every bed had outlets and usb ports which was great. The neighborhood is very nice and coffee was available a few doors down. Owner was responsive when we had an issue.
Only caution is that both of the two bed rooms get noise from the living room.

The house was gorgeous and very well kept. The pool in the backyard was also a very nice touch. To make things better you’re close to nice restaurants and bars on Frenchman and Bourbon St. The property managers, Sophie and John, did an amazing job helping us out and giving us recommendations for things to do.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Paradise Park. The home is well-outfitted with amenities, and everything is comfortable and clean. On top of that, the eclectic design aesthetic is a visual feast, which really added to our enjoyment of staying in a historic house. The pool is wonderful to have in the NOLA humidity, and the backyard very private and serene. Street parking was easy for our large SUV. Check-in and check-out were simple with the lovely caretakers. The location is perfect- on a quiet neighborhood street, only a short walk from all the sights and attractions of downtown NOLA. This is an amazing house, and we can't fathom staying anywhere else in New Orleans in the future!

My friends and I stayed here for my 40th birthday. The eight of us had ample space, enjoyed the pool (during the hot august weather), and found the location to be perfect for all the good restaurants, bars, and activities. I definitely would recommend this property and the communication and suggestions with the property managers = the best! Thanks to the team for making this a memorable trip!!!

Not enough stars for this incredible property and its above and beyond hosts!
The home itself is gorgeous! The beautiful and thoughtful decor is is impressive down to every finite detail. My friends and I were still discovering pretty trinkets up till our final day. The high ceilings and generous space offers both privacy and space to hang out together. We took full advantage of the pool each day. Having the ability to cool off in such a beautiful space was a luxury. The kitchen held everything we needed and wanted. I could not resist baking a cake in the homes lovely Italian range.
One of the biggest benefits of this home is its proximity to anything and everything New Orleans has to offer. We were able to walk all places we wanted to visit quickly and easily. I simply cannot say enough About how much we enjoyed this home and the hospitality we felt from the hosts. We cannot wait to return! I highly, highly suggest this property to anyone visiting New Orleans!

Almost great all around
Great house, amenities, location, early check-in allowed for my daughters bday, but downstairs AC stopped working on last day so it was too hot for four downstairs guests and 3 year old to sleep. Fortunately it was the last day there, and otherwise a great trip.

Great house in a perfect location
You cannot beat this location for access to entertainment on both Frenchmen St and in the French Quarter. Everything is an easy walk away. The house itself was very clean and well stocked. The lower level has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which worked nicely.
The second floor is shotgun style with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The front bedroom is open to the living room below through a spiral staircase. This bedroom and the middle one have direct access to the second floor bathroom Jack and Jill style. There is another staircase from the dining area to the second floor which leads between the middle and back bedrooms upstairs. The back bedroom overlooks the courtyard but the occupants need to walk through the middle bedroom to get to the bathroom or go downstairs.
My favorite thing about this house was the pool and courtyard. We had 7 or 8 people comfortably in the pool at one time. It can be heated for those rare cool months. Everybody enjoyed coming back from adventures to soak in the pool for awhile. The courtyard was beautiful and very well maintained.
I was nervous about parking from previous knowledge of this area. Most streets in the neighborhood are limited to 2 hour parking during the day for non-residents. There are 2 blocks nearby that allow unlimited parking for anyone. This was not problematic until Thursday-Sunday when New Orleans seems to fill up with visitors. Most of our group chose not to move their cars once they found a legal 24 hour spot to avoid not finding parking again. In the end I only had one night that I had to park a few blocks away and move the car early in the morning.
We will definitely book this house again.

My group traveled to NOLA for the final four. This home was perfect for our group of 9, but would have been comfortable with even a few more people. Great location lending to the the ability to walk to several NOLA hot spots and close to the grocery store too. The house had plenty to offer a large group. The beds were comfortable, the courtyard pool/spa was absolutely fabulous and there were plenty of towels. We would definitely recommend this home and would return in a heartbeat if we travel back to NOLA.

Charm & Great Location!!!
The house was perfect for our family trip of 8 adults. Beautiful
home that was well stocked with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your trip. Coffee and tea in the mornings as we planned our day of eating our way around this city. We have already started talking about our next trip here and all the things we still wanted to do. House was so close to Frenchmen Street and close enough to walk to all the French Quarter had to offer. We will be back.

40th bday
To celebrate my wife turning 40, we rented this lovely home to host a couple family members and friends. The home is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a small group. We really enjoyed the large dining table for coffee conversations and the charming back patio for fresh air. The beds and linens are very comfortable and there are plenty of towels and toiletries throughout. We did not cook, but kitchen offered plenty of space and good appliances. Washer and dryer for a quick load of laundry was nice. TV was handy for score and weather updates. The location is perfect and we walked to some of our favorite spots for food and beverages. $$ this was more per night than others, but offered everything we wanted!! Worth it!!

This is a perfect house and location for a large group of adults 8-10 people. The house is beautiful with high ceilings, long dining room table, antiques, a wet bar, beautiful kitchen and private area in the back with a great soaking pool. The pictures don't do it justice. It's within walking distance to Frenchman & Bourbon St and is in a nice quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay. House manager very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend

We just wrapped a great family vacation in NOLA and this property was perfect. Every room is exactly as pictured in the property photos. There were 7 of us and we every room was clean and fresh. No dust anywhere. The dining area was a comfortable place for us to congregate and the heated spa out back was a highlight for everyone. The property is just blocks from Frenchman street but was not noisy. Cat was extremely responsive and helped get a minor issue with the spa fixed in 15 minutes. We felt thoroughly taken care of.
