Your Yellowstone Cabin at Island Park is open year 'round and is conveniently situated in a central location for a variety of activities. You will be within minutes of some of the area's best adventures. Of course, you're very close to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with all they to offer. Your cabin is just south of a public boat launch at Henry's Lake State Park. And, in the winter ice fishing at Henry's is amazing. Did you know record fish are frequently caught there!? Travel south on Highway 20 from your place and you can visit the roaring Mesa Falls, experience the wonder of Johnny Sack Cabin at Big Springs or the majesty of Sawtelle Peak. There is world class fly fishing on Henry's Fork of the Snake River or on the Madison River. Enjoy a live dinner theater close by at Mack's Inn Playhouse. Relax and soak up nature during a float trip, on hiking trails, during a horseback ride, or even a round of golf at Island Park Village Resort. Take a few hours to hike around Harriman State Park or visit their historical ranch community. This location is a snowmobiler's paradise. Take your sled to some of the area's best trails accessible right from your cabin's front door! There is definitely something for every level of rider. Enjoy over 500 miles of trail riding or be a little more adventurous boondocking in some of the softest over-the-hood powder ever! Ride the best back country hills and steep climbs that you can possibly imagine!
During the winter months we keep the main driveway plowed and the walkways cleared. For your convenience, a snow shovel will greet your arrival at the front door in case any additional snow has fallen. The driveway in front of the cabin will accommodate 2-3 vehicles. There is a convenient large parking area less than 3/4 of a mile just off Highway 20 for trailers. You are welcome to drive your sleds up to the cabin so you can hit the trails early! High clearance, 4WD is necessary for Island Park and Yellowstone's mountain terrain during the winter or with snowstorms. During the winter, please check on parking availability a few days prior to your arrival.
The area is known for its native wildlife with a mamma moose actually bedding down right in your yard! Keep an eye out for fox, elk, deer, and a beautiful array of birds and woodland creatures in the adjacent aspen grove. If you listen closely, you may hear the calls of the resident bald eagle and her two chicks. Your cabin is definitely a nature lover's peaceful retreat! Please note that there are all sorts of wildlife in the mountains so you may consider bringing your favorite repellent and be sure to do what you can to not bring them into the cabin with you. And, when booking any cabin in the woods, you will expect to encounter insects, spiders and other wildlife. It is part of the experience. Your cabin is not hermetically sealed so bugs, spider, and all sorts of wildlife may enter the property.
A starter supply of coffee service, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, dishwasher tablets and dish soap are provided. However, depending on personal preference or consumption, you may need to bring or buy extra supplies during your stay. There is a small county grocery store south on Highway 20 about 3 1/2 miles called Sam Patch Co. by Robin's Roost where we do all of our shopping when we stay at the cabin.
This is a NON-SMOKING cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that out guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health. We ask that you stay within capacity limits, read the burn ordinance and please be neighborly. Please be aware that this cabin is on community water, electrical and WIFI systems and we pass along the most current recommendations from them to our guests as applicable. My boys and I are from Alabama and know nothing about snow. We wanted a white Christmas and adventure this year. I did a lot of research about what area would work out best geographically to explore Yellowstone during the winter. We flew into Jackson Hole, tickets were cheaper than Bozeman. Saw the Tetons up close and personal on the gorgeous drive up to Island Park. The area is remote but the grocery store was perfect. The drive from the cabin to West Yellowstone was a breeze. Roads were well maintained with snow and below freezing temps our entire 7 days there. West Yellowstone was the starting point for our snow mobile and snow coach tour. Also visited the Grizzly and Wolf park on Christmas Day. All three 10/10. Took a day to drive through Bozeman and Gardiner to the north entrance to explore Mammoth Springs. Highly recommend even though it is a long drive. But the epic ending was under the stars and mountain cliffs in the perfectly warm hot spring at Yellowstone Hot Springs. The vibe there is to die for! But aside from all the wonders of this part of the world, was the home away from home at this cabin! It was practically perfect. The comfy, homey feel is instant when you walk through the doors. It has absolutely everything you could need. The area is beautiful. Comfy beds. Cookware. Washer/dryer. And Crista was so helpful with information. I definitely recommend a 4x4 during winter to get to cabin and through the mountains. Idaho, this cabin, hidden gems!! Loved!!

This was a unique location. A little remote for us, but still a nice place. The rental was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. And while there were several other homes/rentals around, it was a little farther away from the park than we had expected. And shopping is either in West Yellowstone, or a few miles up the road. Plan accordingly.
Regardless, the owner was easy to communicate with and responsive. For other retirees – there are stairs. Not a deal breaker, but worth noting if there are mobility issues. There’s also a neighborhood cat who will be happy to visit with you if you are so inclined. Thanks Crista – we enjoyed our stay.

The place is great. Comfortable, clean, has everything you need, very well stocked. Loved the backyard, it smelled herbs, there are a lot of medicinal herbs in the back yard. Very quiet neighborhood. Though we only stayed for 2 days, it was peaceful and relaxing.

This little cabin was everything we needed, located in a quiet peaceful neighborhood right off a dirt road. It was a nice retreat from the sun after 4 days of Yellowstone hiking timely host, was clean and tidy up on arrival. Very nice thank you.

My family and I had a great time staying at the cabin. It was comfortable, clean, and cozy!

We loved staying in this house for 3 nights during our national park trip. The house was very clean and comfortable with great beds and couches. The kitchen was VERY well stocked. We were supplied with a bag of ice, waters, and snacks which was wonderful! There is only one bathroom downstairs which had a good shower and washer/dryer. The beds and bedrooms are all upstairs so be ready to make a stairway trek to the bathroom at night. The property had tons of trees and wildflowers and was super pretty. Be prepared to either cook your meals or get something to eat in West Yellowstone on your way back to the house. We were there for 4th of July and went back into town for dinner and fireworks which was great, but the drive and traffic were very tiring. Not many restaurants around and be prepared to drive 20 minutes to any restaurant. Yellowstone was awesome and this house was incredibly nice to come back to each day! Highly recommend for a family of 5 to 7. Great communication with the owner which we really appreciated as a few questions popped up which were promptly answered and resolved. :)

After staying in a not so great location at the beginning of our family vacation, this property was just what we needed. Clean, convenient, along with friendly management it was awesome. Everything was just as advertised. We loved it and recommend it to anyone headed to Yellowstone or just looking for a quiet place to relax.

If you are like me and stress over finding a vacation rental… stop searching and book this property. I am a realtor and know a good property when I find one
It exceeded my expectations.
It is nestled in a quiet ,peaceful ,mountain setting in a safe neighborhood. The floorplan is much larger than you can see in the pictures.
The cabin was extremely clean and cozy .
High end furnishings throughout. Gorgeous kitchen with huge island. Everything we needed was supplied even disposable plates and cups for
our picnics in the park. There is a crock pot and instant pot plus grill so you can make easy meals The beds were very comfy .
Short drive to West Yellowstone and local grocery store , restaurants, and state park.
I didn’t want to leave.

My family of 5 stayed for 5 days, while we visited Yellowstone, The Grand Tetons, Mesa Falls, Big Springs, and UTVing at Lakeside Resort.
The Cabin had every single thing we could have needed and more. It was Cozy and Clean and welcomes several Moose and baby Moose.
We utilized the outdoor grill which was clean and ready to use, cooked most of our meals in the kitchen, which was fully stocked with utensils, paper towels, and even baggies.
We were less than a 20 minute drive to West Yellowstone which was super convenient. Robin’s Roost grocery store was a huge help, Mack’s Pizza was super delicious as was Cafe Sabor.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Thank you so much for a Fabulous vacation we’ll never forget!

I've rented cabins all over for our trips. This property and rental was by far the best one yet. Had everything provided except food and Crista communicated through the whole process and was very welcoming. I was happy with it and super happy about the location in relation to Yellowstone west Entrance. It was a great experience and we would definitely rent this cabin again.

My family absolutely loved our cabin during our trip to Yellowstone! The property is so well maintained and it is accessible to the National Park. We were already excited to stay at this rental, but it easily surpassed our high expectations! The owners are easy to communicate with and care about the quality of your time at their property. This property was fantastic! We love the uniqueness of the cabin and the amenities it provides. It is very well taken care of, and we'll stocked. The fire pit was a huge bonus! It was perfect for our mid honeymoon leg of our trip! Communication by the hosts was excellent. Any questions we had were always met with a prompt reply! They were also so sweet to us providing a local favorite chocolate as a honeymoon gift! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful well equipped cabin, exactly as listed. Nice quiet location ideal for visiting Yellowstone. We made good use of the bbq and decking.

First rental in many over my lifetime that met what I think a rental should be. I don’t consider myself picky but I think if you are going to charge someone for a product it should be a great product. This rental fit the bill. My wife on the other hand is picky and doesn’t mind saying so. She also was thrilled with the rental and we both felt as comfortable as though we were home. Your instruction sheet on the fridge said perfection was impossible. I think you did it! Seriously. Thanks for making our trip so comfortable.

Cute place, basic essentials to get you started. If you fly into Bozeman get your groceries there. West Yellowstone also has 2 small grocery stores. Place was clean and about 20 min. to West Yellowstone entrance. Beautiful star gazing opportunity when it's clear.
