Kona Reef Unit A24 is a nicely appointed 1 bedroom, 1 bath oceanfront condo located downtown in Historic Kailua Village. Open the sliding glass door and let the sound of the ocean take away all of your worries and noise of the outside world! The unit has been updated with a remodeled kitchen and bath. The unit comes with a split AC system, keeping the living area and bedroom nice and cool. The complex has an elevator, minimizing the number of stairs required to traverse to get to the unit.
NEW IMPROVEMENTS: A new sliding glass door was installed in December 2022. The glass comes with UV protectant film that helps to mitigate heat from the afternoon sun. The new hardware makes the door easy to open and close. The unit has a new sleeper sofa as well, also installed in December 2022. It looks great and is super comfortable!

Kona Reef Resort is an oceanfront condominium resort adjacent to a sandy beach and local surf spot in historic Kailua Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. This beautifully landscaped property offers unobstructed ocean views. Free entertainment comes in the form of watching the surf activities at Honl's Beach, humpback whales in the winter and spinner dolphins all year, and ending each day with a unique breathtaking sunset, all from the comfort of your lanai. Its location is convenient to snorkeling, surfing, shopping, entertainment and dining.

We had a wonderful time and loved this place! Stunning ocean view from the private lanai, pictures don't do it justice! Great for sunsets too. The unit was extremely clean and well stocked with lots of amenities. Great location on Ali'l Drive with easy parking and close enough to walk to dinner and shopping in town. We will be back!

The condo itself was clean, well stocked and a perfect view from the balcony. The complex that the condo was located in was somewhat grungy though. Several condos seemed to be undergoing restoration repairs, such as the one next to our unit. Had more of an old apt building vibe than a tropical resort feel.

need to provide instructions for TV. Tracy was gracious enough to come by and help figure out the difference between streaming and Spectrum live tv. it involves two remotes. An electric teapot / boiler would be helpful. I'm not sure the quick boil function on the stove works too well - it takes several minutes to boil water for a few cups of tea. It would be fantastic if you provided a good size telescope for checking out the boats, rowers, surfers, stars and surrounding coastline. The binoculars are pretty useless for those activities. I highly recommend this wonderful condo for a trip to Kona. Extremely well stocked, clean, and very easy check-in / check-out process. The view is amazing and we especially loved the sunsets. Very quiet and private. Took advantage of all of the great beach equipment- towels, chairs, umbrella, and snorkel equipment. Thank you for a lovely stay. We felt very welcomed by all of the attention to detail. We would love to come back!

This unit has obviously gone through a stem to stern, top to bottom rehab with attention to fine detail and exquisite taste with respect to paints, colors and fabrics. Appliances and utensils and a new step in tile shower with multiple adjustable shower heads also appear to be brand new. The glass slider to the lanai is new and appears to have a glare proof finish which makes for stunning views. While the unit is three floors above the ocean, access to it from the parking lot is actually one floor down making it very convenient particularly for someone with mobility concerns. The rental agents, Tracy and Tainya, are nearby and are really focused on their guests having a smooth visit.

The condo was spacious, clean, and really really well equipped! The ocean side view was fantastic. Everything you could need but food. It's a short walk from the tourist strip with copious restaurants stores and the ever present ABC store for adore mentioned food stuff. This was a great facility and it made for a very good time.

The condo was not only decorated exquisitely but was stocked with everything that we needed....beach towels/chairs, cooler, pots and pans, dishes, coffee maker, rice cooker, microwave and much more. The shower was great, bed very comfortable, and air conditioning available if we needed it. There were ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. It is located right on the beach, with views of surfers both morning and night. We would definitely stay here again! Mahalo

The view from the balcony exceeded our expectations from the photos shown online. The condo was very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished with many things we didn’t know we needed (extra towels, kitchens ware) The head of the bed abuts the wall to the courtyard so I wore earplugs to help with noise from other tenants, which was really only an issue on one of the nights of our stay, Overall, we were very impressed with this property and would gladly stay again.

Kona Reef #24 blessed us with a perfect, beautiful, restful oasis for our 40th anniversary! Which part was the best highlight? .... location was a short walk to old Kona waterfront. Every morning we spent sipping our coffee & watching the surfers & boogie boarders right from our lanai. Every day we used the provided cooler & all the beach and snorkeling gear we could have needed! Every evening was a front row sunset. The beautiful décor was such a treat and as a fan of the Hawaiian honu, we loved every bit of turtle décor and the lovely colors that surrounded us! Great to have all the kitchen amenities and even extra condiments left before us. We were able to get in a bit early and the gracious Tiana even had beautiful Hawaiian beach scenery with music.going on the big screen TV. We didn't use the pool ( Except to cool off one night LOL) or spa but it was immaculently clean and lovely, as well as the spotless barbecue area. With leaving the screen lanai door open and fan, we never needed to use the air conditioning in the living room, but the bedroom has a super-efficient fan and the air conditioner was an appreciated addition. The washer dryer helped out alot as well. Loved the huge wicker basket full of rolled up beach towels! Absolutely everything to make a perfect Hawaiian vacation, so thankful for it all! .

We loved staying at this green sea turtle-themed unit! It was just the right size for the three of us. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, the bathroom had us thinking of renovation ideas for our house, and the big screen TV kept us entertained at night. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub after a long day exploring. We didn't use the communal grill area, but it was very well-kept. The historic part of Kailua-Kona is only a short walk away and a small beach awaits right next door. My favorite part about this unit is the oceanfront balcony. It's closed in on all four sides, so even though you're in a condo building, it feels like it's just you and the Pacific Ocean. We would definitely return and hopefully will one day!

We were scheduled for a week’s stay, but didn’t want to leave so we stayed for a dozen nights. The highlight was the deck that overlooked the waves breaking over lava. We enjoyed the easy walk to local bars and restaurants and the laid back atmosphere in the town. The condo was well stocked with water toys, necessities, cable, linens, and even spices. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was tight but adequate, with a sizable, flowing shower. Tracy the manager was awesome - responsive and quick to accommodate our extensions.

The unit has been nicely updated and well maintained. The split air conditioner was really nice so that the bedroom could be cooled on hot days. The king bed was very comfortable. The kitchen has all the equipment you could want as well as many common spices and condiments. We loved the view of the ocean so near the balcony and enjoyed watching spinner dolphins, whales, and sea turtles. The pool area is wonderful with nicely heated pool, great hot tub, and shaded barbecue area. Proximity to the restaurants and shops in Kona is walkable. It was a great place to stay for 10 days.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Kona. This unit was perfect for our needs. It is comfortable, clean, and amply appointed, with everything you will need in the kitchen, the bath, and even recreational items; beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, and an assortment of snorkle gear. The ocean view from the deck is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside there with our coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evenings, listening to the surf and watching boogie boarders and surfers in action. You can easily see the sunset from the deck as well. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit, which is very convenient. The covered parking is a huge plus and the location just can't be beat; it's very easy to walk to the downtown waterfront shops and restaurants, all of which are within about a mile from the unit.

The condo was very clean and in a perfect location. We loved watching the waves over the rocks right out in front. I am positive we will be back! Pictures are accurate except for a new couch and a new slider. :) The pool was warm and the hot tub was hot. We loved everything!

We have stayed at four different condos on this property. This one was our favorite. Sunsets were amazing! They had all the amenities you would need in the kitchen or on the beach!! The bed was super comfortable. Night life or places to eat were within walking distance.
