This could not have been a better spot for our family gathering. The house had plenty of room, the kitchen was adequately furnished, lots of table and chair spaces for all to sit, and a large, wrap around couch for many bottoms.
The beach was perfect for our family... good sand, beach toys available, another table/chairs, and the water shallow for little people.
We highly recommend!

We had a great time staying at this rental with plenty of room for all of our kids and our friends kids. It wasn’t too far I drive from Crystal Mountain and walking around Crystal Lake was beautiful. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day of skiing. Thanks for a great time.

We had our family fall getaway here, and the views of the lake are incredible! Several rooms have lake views, and there are 2 large seating areas on the front deck with lake views. The lake was a little cold in September, but a few brave people got in the water (there is a hot tub to warm up in). There’s a table/umbrella by the lake, as well as a fire pit and seating area with roasting sticks. We did not use the kayaks, and there were some lake toys in the garage, too. We had lots of room to hang out and enjoy family time. The pictures can’t really give you a sense of how large this home really is! We had a wonderful time :)

Great home for large extended family. Beach and lake are perfect. The Rec room was an added bonus. Beachside fire pit is a great finish to a busy and fun day. Plenty of outdoor things to do in and around the Frankfort area. We had 16 people, ages 4-64.

We had a large group and very much enjoyed the property. Management was very responsive and got the hot tub working effectively. The beach area is magnificent and it’s lots of wood for bond fires. We appreciated the use of the boat lift. Great vacation spot!!

We absolutely loved this property! The house was clean, check in was easy, and the communication was excellent. The beach was great for the kids, and the lake was pristine. With lots to do in the surrounding area, this location really can’t be bear. We would love to come back again.

Our family stayed at this house for a week. We vacation up north every year and are always looking for a place that can accommodate us along with our five children and their kids.
This house was one of the best in terms of just having enough large bedrooms. Because of the unique layout of this house, which is built on a hill, all the rooms were very separate from one anothe and allowed people to sleep early and late as they liked. The family with the oldest children particularly appreciated the space over the garage.
The lake itself is gorgeous; sandy, bottom, clear and shallow, which was very comfortable with small children and allowed for kayaking and just floating around having a dock for our small sailboat was also a big plus. They loved the private sandy beach area, some thing that is very hard to find in a vacation rental.
The owners were extremely responsive to any needs or difficulties with the house. That being said, this house did have more issues with it than any other house we’ve stayed at. Although it is freshly renovated and very clean, it does seem like the fixtures are on the older/cheaper side, and we did have issues throughout the stay.
I also felt that the listing downplayed the length of the staircase, which was daunting for those who lived in the upper rooms, especially with small children. And the road in front of the house did get busy at times and cars go very fast on it, so that was a concern with small children.
Overall, 4 stars

We could not have had a better week! The property and the weather were perfect! The beach area is beautiful and all areas are designed to accommodate a large group. Plenty of seating for meals and relaxing. Our party ranged in age from 5 to 70 and all were comfortable. We ventured to Beulah, Frankfort, Suttons Bay, Leland, Traverse City and the sand dunes, along with tubing on the Platte River. A great vacation at a beautiful venue.

The lake house was just what my large family needed- lots of rooms and space to spread out, a large well-stocked kitchen, and very nice patio to all be able to sit and eat outside together. Plenty of seating around the fireplace on the beach, too!
Would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing house and location. We booked this house 4 days prior to arrival, after we decided we didn’t want to go down to FL for a annual beach vacation. A friend of ours spends a month on Crystal Lake every summer, and now we know why! There were only 7 of us, so we had more space than necessary, but it was great since we have 4 teenagers who like their own space. The house came fully stocked with anything you need to cook/grill. The lovely, private beach was so nice to spend time on the lake during the day and even better at night for s’mores. There were 4 kayaks, which the kids loved, and ping pong and fooseball, too. Everything was clean and very well organized. Sleeping Bear Dunes is very close as well as Traverse City, and several, charming towns such as Frankfort and Glen Arbor. Plenty of amazing, local restaurants nearby. We really cannot say enough about our visit and plan to make it an annual trip.
