About this cottage rental

Historic1860's cottage, restored and refurbished with a mixture of the past and the present. Located in Historic South Street, a vibrant community bound by the shared love of days gone by. Relax and immerse yourself in our history. www.historicsouthstreet.co.nz.
Verandah on street front, private sunny courtyard, full kitchen, open plan dining/lounge. Close to restaurants, markets, museum and galleries.
The base rate is for 2 people. Extra adults are charged at $50 per night and children at $25 per night. Please note that Bookabach don’t currently have the ability to automatically differentiate adult vs children pricing as hosts would prefer, but we can update this once the booking is in place. They are working on making discount available for children.

This little cottage is perfect. I felt very comfortable. I loved the decore and the history. I am a clean freak and I couldn't fault anything. It is central Nelson. Saturday and Sunday markets are a short walk. (Just note that toilet has to be accessed through the bathroom and laundry which may be a bother when there are 4 people) If I was to come back to Nelson I would love to stay here again.

A friend and I stayed at Jeanettes cottage last weekend when we were part of a Drs orchestra course at Nelson Music school. It was absolutely gorgeous, clean, had everything we needed. Heated up quickly with heat pump. Chocolate bars in fridge was a lovely touch! It was within easy walking distance of town centre, and the school of music. I am booked in to stay again later this year and looking forward to it. Jeanette was lovely host and very easy to contact. Highly recommend.

Such a great location! It was so lovely to be able to walk to cafes , shops and parks. We had such a relaxing stay. Astro Doggie loved it too. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have experienced in a Bach! We would love to come back! Thank you so much!😊

Was so pleased to stay in this 1864 cottage, it has been fully updated but is still redolent of its original history. Superbly located, a short charming walk to the top of Trafalgar street and cathedral steps. Parking was easy and it was mostly quiet except when the guy next door was mucking about with a hedge trimmer in his backyard. Parking was easy, lots of nice amenities and great selection on the smart TV. I say it's good on so many levels because it's literally on 4 levels..tread carefully when walking to the loo in the middle of the night! Would totes stay there again.

If you are lucky enough to stay on in Nelson, New Zealand, this property will be the icing on the cake! Very quaint and clean and the perfect location near city center. Jeanette is the perfect host and makes sure you are comfortable and you have everything you need. I’ve stayed in many VRBOs and this was by far my best experience.

Dillon cottage was perfect for our two night stay in Nelson The cottage came with everything we needed and is an excellent location, being a short walk from the city and the cathedral on the hill. We have no issue recommending the cottage to anyone looking for comfortable and spacious accommodation in a lovely restored cottage.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We wish it could have been longer! This historic house oozes charm. It is super clean, comfortable, and so well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the bowl of fruit and home-made preserves in the fridge. The house is conveniently located with many restaurants nearby. We highly recommend this accommodation.

The cottage on Dillon was magnificent and was all that was advertised and more! Beautiful hydrangeas were in a vase when we got there as well as some yummy chocolates. The cottage was impeccable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wish we could have stayed there longer!

My husband and I loved this beauty! It was just perfect in almost every way. We even coked a dinner but the local restaurants are so close and good it was hard to stay at home. The cute little garden yard was nice and we made use for the washing machine too. I might suggest a few more down pillows for those of us that have chronic neck issues but that is pickie of me. Thank you for the stay.

We loved having our own space in a great location at a good price ! The home had great historical touches but still with modern amenities. We had stayed near the water before but liked being right in town near more things to do and lots of walking. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and the host was very helpful and quick to reply to any questions.

The cottage is adorable with everything you need! The area, particularly the street, is beautiful with historic significance. Communication with Jeannette was great and we met Kaye who lives on the street. Walked to the grocery store no problem! Would highly recommend!

More than we could have hoped for. Quiet, private and comfortable with more than the usual quota of extras (eg. a vase of fresh flowers!) and thoughtfulness that made the stay something else . Along with the novelty of the charming historical road it was so very handy to town /eateries and shopping with little need for the car. We simply loved it .

We stayed for 2 nights here and were so happy. The cottage itself is gorgeous and so well presented. Hard to believe you are in the middle of the city and having it as peaceful as it would be if in the middle of the countryside! The bed is super comfy and I can honestly say there is nothing negative to say about the whole experience. We are already planning our next trip there.

From the moment we arrived to stay at this stunning cottage we fell in love with it. From the two roomy bedrooms dressed with lovely linen through to the spacious kitchen/lounge/dining area. Everything has been tastefully done to make this holiday home so comfortable. We just wished we could have stayed longer. Even though this cottage is in the middle of the city centre it was beautifully quiet and peaceful… very relaxing.

We stayed labour weekend as family from the far north were meeting us in Nelson for a family wedding anniversary. Dillon cottage was absolutely perfect. A lovely charming cottage that's been really nicely done up and has all modern facilities and was just so comfortable and quiet. It's in a great central location close to the city centre but still a nice quiet location with no road noise etc.. We would definitely recommend Dillon cottage and would very happily stay again in the future. Thanks for a thoroughly wonderful stay.

I stayed two nights with my mum in the two bedroom cottage in Nelson - it was super comfy, and everything we needed and then some. Was so close to town but super quiet and we felt totally safe and relaxed. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here on our next visit if available
