Welcome Home to the Vanderkley Valley Villa!
When you arrive to this cozy home, you will be greeted by a spacious yard surrounded by tall trees with with ample parking room. The house includes a large covered front deck leading into the open concept home, perfect for entertaining and gathering. You won't miss home with the fully stocked kitchen, ample entertainment options such as board games, a WIFI connection, a DVD player (DVD's too), a large outdoor children's playset + hidden treehouse and a huge fire pit area outback. There are a total of 4 bedrooms- 2 queen rooms, a single over double bunk room and a beautiful master suite with a king bed and private ensuite featuring a large soaker tub.
This home is well equipped for families. Within the home you will find a high chair and booster seat, children’s plate-ware, a pack and play with a bassinet insert, children’s natural bath products and a bath seat.
To the North of the home is the winding horse guard creek, which is a quick 8 minute walk away. To the West, when you continue down the main driveway, is an operating regenerative agricultural farm (Vanderkley Valley Farm), feel free to inquire about fresh eggs, produce, and pastured poultry. We are also more than happy to offer you a short farm tour!
For your convienience, Eckville (east) and Leslieville (west) are only a short 10 minute drive away for fuel, snacks, takeout, and groceries. If you are looking for a day trip adventure, the popular beaches of Sylvan Lake is 20 minutes away, Cow Lake area crown land (perfect for quadding) is 30 minutes away and the beautiful Abraham Lake is a 2 hour drive west!
This property is the perfect setup for group family/friend gatherings looking for a secluded + private getaway!

Really great place for holiday with family do the layout of the house. Private from the hosts as property is surrounded with forest. The location is really good for visiting Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake, Crimson Lake and many others.

House was amazing - as listed.
We struggled a bit with getting the TV going - but we also aren't very great with the streaming services but we did get it going!
The water is advised as not "drinking" water but we still cooked and cleaned with it. There is a water cooler provided with additional water if you ask. We filled water bottles and juice jugs nearly daily and were fine!
Beds were super comfy and house had lots of seating.
The light above the kitchen table is fairly poor for building puzzles / playing cards in the evening but we brought out extra lamps from the bedroom and made it work.
Overall a great house, easy to communicate with hosts and we had a fabulous time!

We spent the week with our four kids and friends with their teenager. It was a great house for the 9 of us, peaceful and private country setting, within 30 mins of beaches and other activities we wanted to do for the week and a relaxing atmosphere to hang out during the evenings.
Host was responsive when we messaged about running out of propane and had it replaced by the time we got back from our daytime excursion.
The only things we would recommend is maintenance on the play structure and the arm chair in the living room seems to be nearing its end of life - creaky and a little unstable.
Otherwise the house was fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to come here again!

We stayed 3 days for a friends reunion and the house was the perfect place to reconnect. The house was clean and quiet. The host was wonderful and provided all we required. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall we had a nice stay but there were definitely some shortcomings. The directions missed a road that was needed to find the property. Luckily the owner answered when I called and helped us find the place.
The property needs a bit of maintenance. The chairs are worn out/broken, the stove hood fan doesn’t work properly and sounds like it is trying to explode. The toilet paper holder was missing in the washroom. The playground was in very poor repair, with a broken slide, another slide that was dangerously steep, and no protective surfacing under any of it. The towels were rough and appeared not very clean. The bbq was too dirty to actually use. When we tried there was so much smoke from all the grease built up we couldn’t use it.
We did love the little fire table area on the front porch and the area is lovely.
We had a great stay but I wish there was a bit more time spent on improving the property.

The whole family loved this one so much. It was deafeningly quiet, with tall trees and the most relaxing environment. The hosts were very kind and though we did not get a chance to visit the farm, we will be back. Everyone had their own room which was huge. The only negative I can say were the spiders which is truly to be expected in the middle of the woods. Highly recommend this property!!

It was very nice. The beds, lighting and seating could be improved for sure the seating in the living room isn't enough and the chair in the corner feels like it is going to collapse when you sit in it. The lighting is so bad we needed lamps to help us do our puzzles and if they weren't burnt out lights then they were so dim you couldn't see very well, especially the pantry. Overall very lovely host just could use some improvements.

My girlfriends and I wanted a mom's weekend away, and this was everything we could wish for and more! We loved being able to spend the day at Sylvan, and then come back to a beautiful home surrounded by trees. I felt like we got both the beach and the forest. Although it's about 30 min. away from Sylvan, we were glad we were away from the busyness of the town, and loved that we could see the stars and enjoy the fire pit when we got back. We all loved it, and I just want to find any excuse to go back.
We all also noticed how it seemed like their appliances and cooking tools and everything else weren't cheap and just found at some garage sale.
The home was clean and the hosts were quick to respond to any questions.
I would highly recommend this place!

Brooke and her family are absolutely wonderful people! They were so welcoming and gave us a farm tour, we also bought some fat eggs which were a great price and very good. The property is absolutely beautiful, very clean and awesome decor! we very much enjoyed our trip. The communication was excellent!! Our highlight of the trip was the cat Tom he is the sweetest boy and we fell in love with him right away. He enjoyed having a fire with us outside.. Great place to go to if your looking to get away for a bit :) highly recommend!!

Amazing! We had a girls weekend here and the property was exactly what we were looking for! Tons of outdoor space but also a very large and open villa! Brooke was awesome and answered all ours questions so quickly! Would definitely recommend and we hope to be back!

There were 5 of us for a semi-annual retreat weekend. We had a very relaxing time. All the beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. The BBQ was in good working condition. Small minor things the fridge light was burnt out and we could have used a few more seats for our movie as the living room only seats 4. But we loved everything and Tom the outside resident cat was a real hit. He was very friendly and checked on us every morning and even went for a walk with us.
Brooke was wonderful and answered all our questions before check-in. The first person to arrive drove too far and Brooke was happy to personally take them down to the house and give them all the check-in instructions firsthand. We will be back. Thank you Brooke for everything.

It was better than I imagined. Hot showers, comfy beds and everything we needed to cook delicious meals. We had s’mores over the campfire which was a new experience for our our young kids. Loved our stay. We’ve already booked our next getaway to come back. I was super impressed and there wasn’t a long list of things to do on the way out so that made it a smoother transition home

Our family came here for my parents 47th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful weekend and a great location to get out of the city. The property is picturesque, the villa was spic and span, the decor was modern & cozy and the cows were adorable. My parents loved their spacious master suite and soaker tub. My nephew (6 years old) and niece (3 years old) loved their room, loved the treehouse and didn’t want to leave. Beds were comfortable. Everything was well thought out and the hosts were incredibly helpful and kind. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an amazing place to spend time as a family. The house is perfect for a family with young kids - lots of beds, plenty of space inside and the location is beautiful. We spent a week here and loved every minute of it. The property is great for exploring and we had campfires at night. Our kids loved running around outside and playing on the toy structures and the visit of the farm was fabulous! Brooke was an excellent host and we have no complaints from our time at the Villa.

We had a great stay at this location. Our kids had a blast playing and eating s'mores every night. Only reason for not leaving 5 stars is the well water is a little smelly.

This was our first VRBO experience and it was wonderful! Such a peaceful location with wonderful hosts, and lots to do, or not. We were only able to spend two nights this time, but we will be back, and for longer next time! Thank you!

Had a fantastic stay with our family of 4 boys. Location is very private and such an awesome place to let your kids play freely. Treehouse, toys, and play center allowed for us to watch our kids have a blast from the fantastic deck. Spent many hours at the creek swimming and exploring. If you are looking for a place that provide privacy, peace, and quiet; this cannot be beat. The house is very clean and everything you could need is provided. Fantastic hosts that are quick to help with any questions. We brought our family, but this would be a perfect place for an adult retreat as well.

We had an amazing week at the house. So quiet and peaceful, a great place to relax. The house was perfect for our large family and the kids loved the tree house and play structure. Our favorite part by far was the farm tour and taking walks to visit the cows.

Booked this property for a 4 day getaway for my family (wife, grown kids, and grandkids). It was the perfect spot: quiet, secluded, had all the required amenities (including things for small kids and toddlers). The hosts were incredibly nice and even gave us a farm tour that the 2 year old just loved. I would highly recommend this rental to any family looking for a great and relaxing time away!

Perfect Location to Tour Central Alberta
The house is set up perfectly for groups with the four bedrooms, amazing laundry room and pantry. The hosts have provided all the basics you need from organic soaps and shampoo ,teas, coffee and spices and paper goods. Lovely indoors and out.

This little villa is a absolute treasure! It is a comfortable, warm, and inviting place tucked in a forested area, which lends itself to a quiet, serene, and “being in mountains” vibe.
Brooke and Nolan were a pleasure to communicate with. They are friendly and eager to answer any questions you have. They have added so many thoughtful touches to the already lovely villa that you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
