We stayed the week of June 17th, 2024 Temperatures ranged from 74-82
Positives
1) Great location: Next to the lake/Walk to village. Views are amazing.
2) Beds very comfortable. Bed on 1st floor squeaks when you move
3) Property management office communicated promptly and are very nice
4) Property is modern and beautiful
5) Plenty of room/great layout
6) Rooms stayed comfortable even when temps got into the 80's. First floor stays nice and cool.
7) 4 full bathrooms
Need attention
1) Arrived at Meredith Lodging at 3:30 pm. They said they could not release the 2 keys for us until 4 pm. No worries. Came back at 4:15 pm. Only received 1 key because they weren't sure what happened to the other one.
Arrive at the property. Cleaners are still cleaning. At least we know the place will be clean except....
3) We get settled open the fridge/freezer. Smells like fish. We spend the next 36 hours using baking soda and coffee grounds to get rid of the smell (Meridith lodging does offer to help take care of smell)
4) Master bedroom stays really warm in afternoon in the summer-ceiling fan does not work(box fan provided) and there are skylights in ceiling (Probably really nice to have in winter)
5) Screen doors/curtains on patios need attention
6) Downstairs shower clogged. Full of hair (Management did offer to clean)
7) Water temp hallway shower 3rd floor barely luke warm
Still enjoyed our stay but paid a lot of money to deal with some things we shouldn't have had to

What a great time we had! Big Bear Lake is relaxing with many things to do and see. We were within walking distance of a multitude of incredible restaurants as well as a dock where we rented a small pontoon for a day on the lake. It was unusually warm for our visit and there is no a/c but that was ok since the nights were mid 50’s and we could draw in some cool air while we slept. Both nights we did have a slight annoyance of beeping smoke detectors but management was on it as soon as I called and were very apologetic. The lower level suite was such a neat little area and it does have a/c. The condo was a wonderful place to stay, glad we found it! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home away from home!

Unfortunately, this property did not meet expectations. We have stayed in this building in the past and love the location, but the upkeep was below standards. The property was filthy - dirty dishes, dirty floors, etc. Food was caked on the stove and microwave and the downstairs had not even been cleaned. There was one trash bag for the entire unit and no one was willing to bring us more from the management team. The fireplace key was also no where to be found - so in the middle of a storm we were not able to use to the fireplace.
The downstairs bedroom was advertised with a king bed, although once arriving at the property we realized it was a full. Not a huge deal, just wish the listing has been accurate.
Overall, the stay was fine but I will not be booking this unit again due to the lack of cleaning we experienced.

Birthday Get Away
Our party consisted of myself, my son and daughter age 23, my son's girlfriend who was celebrating her 23rd birthday and their friends a couple with a 2yr old child (seeing snow for the first time). Lovely. Spacious and near all the shops, resturants and amusements. Very wrll equipped kitchen, made breackfast every morning and dinner 2 of the 4 night stay.

I can’t say enough god things about this place! It’s perfect! Right by the main center and walking distance to everything.

Beautiful location
What a beautiful lakefront townhome. If it wasn’t for the drought in California, this place is truly a one of a kind lake front rental. Walking distance to the village and all the shops and restaurants. It has convenient parking. The home itself was beautifully furnished and clean. We were only there for the weekend for my partner’s birthday and we wish we had booked the week! We will definitely be back to this place.

Great Location
The property is lake front even though the lake is low. The deck and balcony have great unobstructed views of the lake. It is one block from the Village so it is an easy walk for food, drinks and shopping.

Great view and near town
Perfect weekend getaway. Apartment had everything we needed and we enjoyed the morning and evenings on the deck overlooking the lake. Very relaxing!

Amazing location…
Location and cleanliness was outstanding. However be sure and read the fine print… we hit 3 accidents on the way and had to check in late which I read was allowed. Unfortunately it was only for 2 days of the week. I was charged a late fee and the gals who checked me in were curt and made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience. Not the best way to start a vacation. No griddle. No working TVs

Review of Condo Experience
Not lake side. Lake view. Dried up lake bottom caused by drought. Poor property maintenance. Obviously financially challenged. Many things did not work in condo. Living rooom TV. BBQ grille out of propane. Hair Dryer. Many drain clogs. Filthy patios covered in bird poo. Filthy rug on second floor. Said no pets, but there were cans of pet odor spray and the over use made it hard to breathe. Not told there were two steep sets of stairs, 14 steps each, btwn floors. We left early partly because our knees were killing us. Living room couch dirty. Bed sheets of very cheap material and did not fit the beds. Filthy garage. This is by no means a luxury rental and it is overpriced.

It’s a very cool setup and close to everything you’d want to do up there.
Definitely would stay here again, the bottom room is like it’s own hotel/suite setup and the the rest of the house is separate in a way. This worked because we were able to have more privacy in a way. Great place and a great trip!!

The property was dirty, bathrooms not clean, bed covers stained. Extra charge of 100$ on my card.
The place was dirty, bathrooms were unkept, hair and stains on walls and doors. We saw a mouse running around. The bed covers were white with visible stains, we slept without covers because they were so dirty. We left a day early because we were so uncomfortable. There was an extra charge of 100$ placed on my card without my consent , later the office manager said this was a service charge from the Vrbo’s site. That charge was not listed in my total when I paid for the reservation. Overall I would not ever stay or recommend this place to anyone.

Great Luxurious Townhouse & Great Location
We loved the townhouse, the Management is very friendly and accommodating. The location is walking distance to Big Bear Village and it's well stocked w BBQ Grill and kitchen necessities, and beautiful bathrooms and comfortable beds...BUT the place needs cleaning desperately, I had to clean before we settled in and when leaving.... the floors & carpets are filthy and need shampooing.

I have such mixed feelings about our stay at this “luxury” cabin. This was our first VRBO rental so went with a higher end, newer looking place to make sure we would be comfortable. When we first arrived we had to spend an hour cleaning thick oil off of ALL the counter tops and tables. We (adults and kids) couldn’t touch anything without getting grease on us. It was as if their cleaners covered everything in furniture polish.. even the kitchen & bathroom counters! The two recliners in the pictures online have been replaced with old recliners. But my biggest complaint of all is when I went to get into bed on night #1 there was vomit on the top sheet under the comforter and it touched me as I pulled it up to cover myself! My husband and I were SO disturbed we ripped all the sheets off and slept with a spare blanket which wasn’t much coverage. On the flip side the place had major potential. Outstanding location, close to village to walk to restaurants, close to marina to rent boat. Right in front of beach, waterfront was fun for kids to play outside! In the end I was disappointed in how the property management handled my complaint. After calling them the next morning I was made to feel like I was lying and asked why I didn’t use the washer & dryer in unit to clean vomit on sheets. After defending my complaints they finally reimbursed us for 1 night and brought clean sheets over. I just wish they were friendlier and more giving in the first place to make me feel it was worth a return visit. In the end I would stay here again if the management and cleaning crew were different.

Okay stay.
Place was beautifully remodeled. However slightly dirty upon arrival (floors, walls and balcony). My kids were very disappointed the pool was not open not we're we told out it beforehand. There was no extra to and paper towels which we were also not told about till our check-in. We would have bought supplies from home. Vent in the kitchen doesn't work so when you cook it gets super smokey. (I'm sure that's a health code violation. The place is in such a nice location we were outdoors so often we didn't mind there being no a/c. Overall nice place. But probably wouldn't book again.

Modern condo in big bear
It was a great weekend in a gorgeous condo overlooking the lake. There were a few things that could be improved. I wish the barbecue were in a usable condition. And... because the condo had no air Conditioning it was a bit uncomfortable. The fans in each of the bedrooms were VERY loud.

Great location and updated accommodations
This was a terrific rental and we really enjoyed having three floors given we brought teens with us. Would definitely go back.
