About this house rental
A smart, detached turn of the century, beautifully styled house. Sitting right in the heart of Heacham, Norfolk House offers the convenience of excellent local facilities within walking distance, and very easy access to some of the loveliest beaches on the North Norfolk coast.
Under the ownership of the same family for many generations, Norfolk House has had several reincarnations - once upon a time a popular greengrocers, and latterly a renowned hardware-come-lifestyle store which turned into a much-loved 'destination' for the folk of Norfolk. The house, still owned by the same family, has now been transformed into a superb holiday property by using their experience and skills at designing interiors that are comfortable and elegant, with a touch of grown-up sophistication. A spacious house, this lovely property is certainly a relaxing place to be and an ideal bolt hole for a couple or two, as well as a small family, at any time of the year. With a choice of two sitting areas, one to the front of the house and another to the rear, guests can spread out and easily find a peaceful spot to themselves if they so desire. The open-plan living/sitting and dining area is a good sociable space, where french doors can be opened to the courtyard garden when the days are sunny and warm, and an open fire to light when the nights draw in. The three bedrooms (king-size, double and single), set around a large landing area, are found on the first floor, along with two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite and has a joyous roll top bath for the ultimate indulgent soak after a busy day out exploring under Norfolk's renowned big blue skies. Outside, to the back of the house, is an enclosed, south-east facing courtyard garden; the perfect option for daytime and evening outdoor dining when the climate allows, as well as chilling out and catching the sun on a summer's day.
Heacham is an excellent base for discovering all of the treasures to be found in North West Norfolk, as well as further afield. Energetic types will love walking or cycling along the coastal and inland pathways; bird watchers will be in seventh heaven with RSPB Snettisham close by; foodies will be spoilt for choice for places to eat; and if visiting historic houses is your thing, Sandringham House and estate is only a short drive away.
Norfolk House is also available as a sleeps two option, with two bedrooms closed off.
Additional Information:
Sorry, no pets.
The pillows and duvets are synthetic fibre.
A travel cot and high chair are all available (please request at point of booking).
There is CCTV at this property.

Best seaside holiday home
Norfolk House was our home away from home for a sublime week in March. 15 minutes walk from the Heacham beaches, it was also in the heart of this charming but unpretentious village. Steps away from post office, Tesco express, pubs, Boots, cafes etc. Beautiful decor, it felt as though we were its first tenants! The whole house is tasteful and comfortable like home. The kitchen is super-equipped, the beds comfy. The house feels spacious and peaceful... We'll be back! Visit Snettisham for its Michelin-starred restaurant (The Old Bank) and associated bakery/brunch/cafe (The Old Store)... Seek out Dersingham Bog for a hidden gem of a walk in stunning heathland & mire; and drop by the Royal Station in Wolferton village (from 14;00).
