A lovely peaceful getaway for the family. Highly recommended.

Our party was 5 adults, including two couples and one individual. We stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding anniversary in the area. Due to this I cannot comment on the local area and we didn't use any of the park facilities.
The lodge is right next to the lake which was very pretty. The grassed areas were a bit muddy due to the amount of rain we've had, but that's usual for the UK!
The rooms in the lodge were reasonably comfortable including the mattresses on the bed. It was a pain having to make up that many beds but we knew that linen wasn't provided from the listing description.
We had a problem with the heating which broke. The first night we tried turning the heat down which didn't work so we had to turn it off. The next day it was very cold inside so we put the heating back on, only to find it kept switching off. We checked the boiler and it said the last service was in 2021! We called the help number and they sent someone to fix the problem, which they did.
The WiFi worked for all of us and was a good speed. The kitchen was well supplied for our needs although we didn't cook any main meals there. The toilet seat in the main bathroom was lethal, and moved around so you had to be very careful sitting down. We weren't able to tighten it. The blinds in the bathroom looked filthy and bent out of shape, and the shower screen had dirt/rust near the metal parts.

We really enjoyed staying in the lodge. It was clean and comfortable, also warm and cosy in the evenings. The site is nice with the lodge being in a great spot by the river. Unfortunately we had terrible weather and non stop rain for the duration of our stay, the only downside in these conditions was no path to the lodge - it was incredibly muddy walking to and from the car on the grass which had turned into a swamp! Overall a fab visit and we would visit again.

We wanted a base to explore clacton, Walton on the maze etc from and this site was easy to find. The lodge was like a home from home but it took a bit of finding as we were not given a map of the site! Fortunately I took a torch as the lighting around the site was poor. Once in the lodge soon relaxed as it has all the creature comforts you would need. The instructions were brilliant as one of the gas bottles ran out and the idiot proof instructions soon got us up an running again. Short drive into clacton, Walton on the Naze etc and overall was just the short break we needed. Didn’t try any on site amenities as we ate out.
We had exceptionally bad weather on arrival so there was a lot of fallen leaves around the veranda but can’t blame owners for that. So would recommend to anyone but ask for a site map and take a good torch if arriving in darkness.
Would stay again as like the area as a bit quieter than the usual Havens type camps which we have outgrown.

The property was very spacious and well appointed and set on a very nice location on the site. My only suggestion would be that the kitchen needs more dishes, bowls and other equipment to make simple cooking possible.

Lovely setting overlooking lake. Great verandah. Fittings and fixtures in Lodge are of good standard. The downside is taking your own bedsheets, towels, kitchen cleaning stuff.

The lodge is situated next to the lake . Relaxing watching the ducks etc . The Lodge is spacious with 3 double bedrooms and an en suite with shower. There was a full sized bath with an above shower to use . The park itself is nice , we used the pool and the clubhouse. Children loved the entertainment.
The park is approximately a 10-15 minute drive to Clacton.

This was a great property, plenty room for a family to relax and enjoy. Location of lodge in quiet area overlooking the lake and kids enjoyed getting up to the ducks every morning. Great camp stayed numerous times due to visiting family nearby and will def stay here again. Would def recommend.
