About this cottage rental
Unbeatable location! Beautifully furnished 1bd/2ba nestled in Downtown Corvallis. Located 2 blocks from City Hall, 1 block to the Corvallis Library--and just a few blocks from the OSU campus. A cozy cottage in walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops, and just 6 blocks to the waterfront, where you can stroll along the Willamette River and enjoy the fabulous weekly Corvallis Farmers Market! The main home was built in 1906 home by a judge who later became the Mayor of Corvallis! This cottage is the original “carriage house”, and has been converted to a 1bd/2ba cottage, with its own entrance and 2 dedicated off-street parking spots. The kitchen and main bathroom are updated and luxurious, and the cottage is beautifully furnished and fully stocked to make you feel at home. Amenities include a built-in desk/work station, a 72 inch smartTV, Ninja Blender, gas fireplace, a Dyson cordless vacuum, and an LuluLemon Fitness Mirror, with a subscription to hundreds of yoga, pilates, HIIT, kickboxing and mediation classes to stream (landlord pays for monthly subscription).
The front door invites you into the open living space, which is cozy and bright: There is a small sitting area that has an American Leather queen sofa sleeper (top of the line, w/ foam mattress and no springs), ottoman, and additional chair. The living room boasts a 72 inch flat screen wall-mounted Smart TV, with basic cable provided, (great for Zoom meetings!) The antique dining table seats up to 6 people, with a remote-controlled gas fireplace to keep you cozy. The kitchen has an island to work at, or to eat a PNW-inspired meal. A separate workstation with built-in desk and shelves keeps your work compartmentalized.
The updated kitchen is a highlight of this home— with black granite countertops, maple cabinets, and stylish accents. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, oven, microwave, and dishwasher) and a toaster. Pour over coffee system, a french press, coffee maker, immersion blender, Insta-Pot, and a Ninja blender for your morning smoothies.
The bedroom and adjoining 2nd bathroom is accessible by climbing 5 stairs. The bedroom is surprisingly large and bright -- with room for a table and chair, and 2 side tables. There are also spacious closets in the bedroom. The King Bed, bedding and bed frame are brand new and exceptionally comfortable. The adjoining 2nd bathroom is a convenient place to use the toilet, sink, and stand up shower, but the historic bathtub has been retired and is no longer functional. (But it’s a great place for plants or to dry laundry on the drying rack!). This home has been tastefully and professionally furnished and decorated to ensure that our guests will enjoy their stay and return again. We strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible, with the softest towels and highest quality bedding.
The cottage is attached to a larger historic home, which is rented separately to “month or more” visitors, but both units have their own private entrance and back doors, and there are no shared spaces with the main house.
Terms: This property is fully furnished, and the City requires it to be rented for 31 days or more (Pro-rating available!). This is a fantastic place for for visiting professors to OSU, travelling nurses/doctors assigned to Corvallis for a few months, season ticket holders to OSU games, or for family members wanting to visit their Corvallis family (but wanting to stay separately & nearby!). This is also a perfectly located "home base" for people relocating to Corvallis and searching for the perfect home to buy!
$2500 Monthly rent includes all utilities: (high speed internet, gas, electric, water/sewer, trash/recycling, and weekly yard service. LuluLemon Fitness Mirror monthly subscription is paid for by the landlord). Rate includes 1 cleaning per month, paid for by owner (required), There are 2 dedicated parking spaces on the property for our tenants (rare in the downtown district--great for OSU games!!), and additional off-street parking. We welcome 1 well-behaved small dog (no dogs on the furniture), but note that there is NO fenced yard, and the backyard is dedicated to parking spaces, so tenants are advised to keep their dog on leash in the front yard and take advantage of a few great parks just 1-2 blocks away, or the dog park nearby, or the many wonderful walking paths & trails that Corvallis has to offer. There is a $500 one-time pet fee, in addition to the move-out cleaning fee, and pet clean up requirements must be adhered to. Pet Addendum Contract to be signed by tenant.

We spent three months in Kirstin‘s apartment and really had a great time. The kitchen is outstanding, and we enjoyed the short walk to downtown Corvallis and the riverfront. Communication with Kirstin was easy, and we really appreciated the generous basket of local wine, coffee, vegetables and fruit she welcomed us with.

I stayed here for a two months and Kirsten has thought of everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is outstanding, updated and thoughtful consideration of a mirror for exercise, a fireplace, tons of storage, and a cozy king size bed.

Kirsten was awesome to work with and the place fit my needs in every way. The neighborhood, although noisy at times being on a busy road and near the train tracks, was lovely, safe and location was perfect. Easy walk downtown and to Goss! The work space was perfect for when my husband came and worked remotely. Having friends in the attached, but separate big house and being able to visit them through the “door to Narnia” was an added bonus that made my stay a great experience!!

Kirsten’s places are the nicest rentals with the most comfortable furniture. Everything you need is provided and this location is right downtown with great parking. I hate for it to get popular as it will always be booked! Grab it while you can :)!

Convenient urban quarters
We needed a place to stay while waiting to close on our new house. This was perfect. Close to downtown, the library and campus. Well equipped and comfortable for the extended stay. A bit noisy when the windows were open but, otherwise ideal.

Great place
Very comfortable, well-appointed apartment, ideal for 1-3 people (perfect for parents + kid on a college visit). Walking distance to downtown and the university. Nicely stocked modern, kitchen, good Wifi & desk setup for working, off-street parking, and super helpful owner.
