About this resort

A remodeled 1-bedroom suite on the 2nd floor (of 3) in the main building. You will enjoy ocean views from the patio and be steps away from the central pool and hot tub, restaurant, and bar!

Seascape Beach Resort is in a great location overlooking Monterey Bay with 3 pools and hot tubs.

This is a privately-rented suite, so guests are not allowed use of golf cart rides (there is a moderate grade back up from the beach to the room), beach bonfire pits, room-number billing, or room-service (dine-in and take-out is still available at Sanderlings and several other restaurants across the street). In-room spa services and use of the sports club are available at additional costs. If you have any other questions about the private rentals, please ask before booking. The 3 pools and 3 hot tubs are available to all guests.

I do not provide linen service, but there are plenty of extra towels and sheets if needed.

Due to typically mild daytime temperatures and cool nighttime temperatures near the coast, this room (and most rooms at Seascape) have no air conditioning.

Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in the rooms due to resort rules.

This place was as advertised and better! Beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. Close to the main pool and hot tub. Onsite restaurant and bar. Everything was well thought out! From the super soft robes and towels to the hot chocolate, coffee and tea. All vey very nice. We would definitely come back. Absolutely loved it!

Every part of this process was smooth. The host was amazing along with the unit. Everything that you need is there including things to take to the beach. The view is beautiful and close to all things. It is very cute and cozy! We will definitely be back!!

Everything we were wanting! Beautiful view, close to everything, comfortable & very clean! We will be coming back to this property again! We didn’t have any issues & Jim was communicative with me, letting me know should I need anything don’t hesitate contacting him. The Bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets and bedding were high quality, unit had an over abundance of towels and everything you’d need for a stay at the beach! Don’t hesitate in reserving this unit you won’t be disappointed!!

After doing a pretty thorough search on the property, comparing to others at Seascape, we decided on this unit. What you see is what you get and we were comfortable. The king size bed is particularly comfortable. Jim answered our questions and was very attentive at all times. If I had one thing to suggest it would be to place an area rug in the living room for added ambience and for walking around; it’s just nice to have a rug under your feet. With that said, I understand it’s probably a lot easier to keep clean without an area rug on the floor. The resort itself was not very crowded at all, including the restaurant so if you’re concerned about crowds, that’s not a problem. Overall, as stated in the headline, all the reviews are pretty accurate and what you see is what you get from all the photos. The microwave/convection oven worked perfectly as well. I brought something to heat up on the first night, the chef knives in the block are also extremely sharp so that was an added bonus!

Wonderful location and easy check in. Host was very responsive and helpful. Balcony with amazing views and very private. Wonderful bed with lovely linens. Central location to beaches and coastal redwoods for hiking and surfing. Will definitely stay here again!

Can’t say enough about this location and perfect views from this condo . Could hear the ocean perfectly from open slider . Right next to trail that leads down to ocean . Comfortable king size bed . Son slept on sleeper sofa which was comfortable which usually is not the case with most sleeper sofas . Great communication and easy check in . Hope this unit is available next year when we will be back in area !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property and the awesome ocean view from the balcony was the best! The unit was very clean and we appreciated the varieties of coffee, snacks, and toiletry products. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions we had. The unit is well-stocked with beach accessories and extra towels. We will definitely stay in this property on our return visit.

The condo was immaculate, spacious, and perfectly located above a salt water pool overlooking the Pacific. The resort is great- a decent restaurant and bar, gorgeous grounds with trails ++. Literally a few hundred yards away is a small retail center with a few handy shops and restaurants. Additionally the location provides easy access to Santa Cruz and all points south. Importantly the host / owner was responsive, pleasant and professional. For the price it was an excellent value!

This is a great place to stay if you have small kids - cute, small pool just a few steps away. Beach is also within easy walking distance. For us, we had bad luck with a lot of fog and cold temps so we often went elsewhere, but it'd be heaven on a hot day! Property manager Jim was awesome and easy to work with.

This place was wonderful. Gorgeous view and located close to amenities. Great for families. Very clean and manager was super helpful and responsive. We loved spending time in our place, enjoying the view, cooking, playing games. We also loved the pool and hot tub, playground, vast paths, and excellent restaurant nearby. No complaints which is unusual for us lol. We loved it and are definitely returning.

The place was very nicely decorated, the view was beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked with all needed items, the bed was super comfy and we had all the beach items we could possibly need for our stay. This is a GREAT unit to rent. My son & I stayed here, and we’ve stayed in countless units over the years. By far this was an incredible experience. Awesome location overlooking ocean & pool. Newly remodeled, and it has everything you will need. Even though we bring many items, (boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, etc) they also have them for you to use. Easy access, great communication w/ owner. 10 stars across the board. We will be back.

Jim is a wonderful host! The place was just as shown, and actually nicer than we had even expected. The beds are both very comfortable, and the little kitchen has everything you need. Everything in this day went smoothly from booking to checking out. Jim is very responsive and communication was easy. Our stay at Seascape/Rio Del Mar could not have been better. We arrived to a spotless 1 bedroom that just got better and more comfortable as we stayed there. Jim was extremely communicative and accommodating and has thought of all of the possible comforts you would need during your stay by the beach. The view is exactly as presented and the unit is conveniently located in the main lodge with close access to the beach and amenities. We will stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was the perfect place for our family to visit. We have two young boys 9 & 10. We enjoyed walking to the beach everyday and taking a short drive to Santa Cruz. The condo had everything we needed for our trip and visiting the beach. Jim has lots of extra special touches to the condo that made our visit very enjoyable. We will definitely be back to visit this property.

We had a wonderful time at this rental. It’s a one-bedroom suite that was perfect for our family of three. The bedroom is its own room so that our son could go to bed first. The unit is very clean and tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We loved being near the beach but also having access to the pool and hot tub. Jim is very responsive. We definitely plan to come back!

Our stay at Jim's Resort apartment couldn't have been more enjoyable & comfortable than a Classy Hotel Room with all its amenities. He provided us the most luxurious bedding, towels and with all the little details above and beyond our expectations! I shouldn't give such a good review simply out of fear we wont be able book again when needed! Haha.

First off, Jim was the most helpful and gracious host. He was incredibly flexible with check-in and check-out times, left a lovely welcome basket with snacks, and was super responsive to any questions we had. The apartment was sparkling clean, felt like a hotel, and had literally anything we could have needed, including plenty of towels which you need with young kids! The availability of coffee was much appreciated. The pool /jacuzzi was perfect and the beach is just a short walk down along a lovely path covered with trees. We want to go back ASAP!
