About this house rental

Cozied between joining rivers and a private waterfall you’ll find Falling Waters.
A mountain home tucked away in a gated community providing a quiet escape without interruption.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by “The Woodsman” the sentinel of the house. He was given to the owner as a gift from a dear friend who creates beautiful pieces for Burning Man. Feel free to take a photo next to him and tag #fallingwaterskeowee

The master suite is equipped with a King bed, private balcony facing the accessible waterfall, and a grand shower room with a rain shower, multiple shower heads and a imported Japanese soaking tub, big enough for two.
The owner loves water and has placed a sleeping window by the bed that when cracked open allows the sound of the waterfall to trickle into the bedroom providing a restful sleep.

The grand kitchen provides the space and equipment desired by any chef. From the six burner gas stove, the commercial convection oven to the oversized kitchen island you have everything you need to create a dining experience you won’t forget.

Behind the kitchen walls you will find spacious outdoor dining patio. Feel free to throw in some logs into the handpicked, hand laid stone fireplace and let evening begin. To the right will find a one of a kind wood fired pizza oven imported form Portugal. Get those creative juices sizzling and make your pizza dreams come alive. (when you come up with a fire pizza recipe, please share!)
Wood is on site for purchase for the multiple fireplaces to sit around and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Downstairs you’ll find a third bedroom//bunk room that is a multi-use space, bathroom and a highly entertaining game room with a walk out patio facing the river. A variety of games such as shuffleboard, Xbox, board games and a 4 in 1 games table is there for you or to entertain the kids while you take some time to relax.

The state of Georgia is hidden somewhere in the construction of the house. If you find it please message us and you will be placed on recognition board. It’s kind of hard to find so keep an eye out.

In addition to the house the community has a club house.
The club house has a tennis court, basketball court and lake access.

We are currently on two waiting lists for WiFi. Starlink and T-Mobile home. Fingers crossed we will hear soon!

We are just a short drive from downtown Seneca, Pickens and Easley.
Explore the delicious restaurants, endless antique stores, bakeries and local breweries in each town. If you are a Clemson fan we are only 25-30 min away!

There were six of us (adults). We enjoyed sitting outside Friday night by a cozy fire and went hiking Saturday morning on the beautiful property before driving to Clemson for a football game. Great weekend! I would definitely recommend it and come back!

Great stay at Ian's property. We really enjoyed the beautiful home and the secluded property. We brought our boat and were about to use the community dock which was perfect.

This was our very first vacation as a family and I wanted this to be an unforgettable experience. Upon our arrival to this beautiful home, we noticed several details that were not addressed before our arrival. The firepit was filled with cigarette butts, the outside furniture was very dirty and looked as though muddy dogs had been sleeping it. The inside smelled of dogs, the floor was FILTHY dirty. There is no possible way they had been cleaned in recent months. All windows were unwashed. The shower had hair and hairties from previous clients. The beds downstairs had white linens that were black with previous clients feet marks on 3 of the 4 beds. My family had to pull together (on our vacation) to wash the linens, and sweep and mop the upstairs floor on order to be comfortable. When I made the owner aware, they made excuses for every photo I sent. They offered to send a cleaning crew the next day but we had already made the proper adjustments to the cleanliness. The owner quit responding after that. There was no apology at all. Overall, I am mostly upset the lack of concern for the experience of my family. We should not have had to clean on our vacation. I do have photos if anyone would like to see. It is really sad that such a beautiful home is not taken care of.

Christmas/New Year's Break Trip
Christmas/New Year's Break Trip
Very good location with several hikes (mostly waterfalls) nearby. We enjoyed Beech Bottom Falls, Twin Falls, and the Keowee-Toxaway Natural Bridge Trail, all nearby. We did a day trip to the Biltmore (about 1:30 each way) and a day at the cabin doing games and puzzles. The home was well stocked for our needs including towels, toiletries, and a wide range of kitchen supplies. We were not successful in pizza making (after $20 in wood we couldn't get a consistent high temp) so we used the very nice indoor gas oven. The outdoor seating areas are very nice and we kept a fire going in the porch fireplace each evening, although it was rainy for much of our trip so we were limited to the covered porch area. Everyone loved the master shower "room," only one tried the soaking tub (they did enjoy it), but everyone was a bit hesitant as although a remote location, the non-curtained full size window took some mental adjusting to. Our only real issue was the kitchen floors were very dirty (food, spills, dog hair, etc when we arrived) and needed a good mopping. Everything else seemed very clean (counters, bathrooms, bedding, etc) There is also no comfortable seating indoors upstairs or social space like a table other than the bar height island which was great for a puzzle, was not great for games or socializing for more than 6 people (there were 10 of us) (again, it was rainy so we couldn't use the outside table in the rain). The downstairs has lots of comfortable seating, but it was rarely used as it is very secluded from the main floor/living areas.

Peaceful and forced to unplug
Peaceful and forced to unplug
Bad stuff first…. Out in the woods, greeted by dead roaches in the house. It happens but ewww. Master bath doesn’t have a door to the toilet area, so unless you like to share your business, go across the house to the powder room. No wifi. After looking at all these listings we took for granted it would have wifi. Good and bad, we had to unplug! No comfy seating on main level inside and it was too rainy and cold to stay outside. But the property was lovely, the creeks are amazing, and the kitchen was very nicely appointed! We enjoyed going to Pickens and Easley, the Biltmore and Clemson too! It was truly an escape and we so needed it! Thanks!
