About this house rental
Enjoy all that Deadwood and the Black Hills have to offer from this location! The Mickelson Trail is just across the street. Jump on the trail for a walk, run, or bike ride. There is also a trolley stop just a 2 min walk down the road - hop on the trolley and enjoy the old west feel of the city of Deadwood. There is also easy access to snowmobile trails and you are close to ski areas.
The space
This 3-bedroom home is fully furnished with three queen-sized beds and all linens. There are two bedrooms and a full bath on the main floor, and one bedroom with a 3/4 bath in the loft. You will be able to enjoy off-street parking and free WIFI. The kitchen is fully outfitted with all the pots, pans, dishes, silverware, dish towels, paper towels etc that you should need. We also have a crockpot, coffee pot (with coffee and filters), blender, electric can opener, and toaster. We furnish all paper products, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels, plus there is a blow dryer in each bathroom. The washer and dryer on the main floor are available for your use, and we supply detergent. There is a BBQ grill, a large picnic table, a fire pit, and plenty of outdoor seating. If you are motorcycle enthusiasts, there are even clean rags for you to use on your bikes. If you are visiting in the winter, there are miles of snowmobile trails in the area, and you can enjoy downhill skiing. The Mickelson Trail, which is a great walking or biking trail, runs along beside the creek in this section, and it is a beautiful setting! There are only two homes on Cliff St., and the back yards border Forest Service land, so watch for deer on the hillside! From here, you can venture out in all directions to take in our beautiful Black Hills and Badlands. We will have SD Vacation Guides, Black Hills and Badlands maps, and other brochures in the house for your use. Or you can walk across the street to the Pluma building where there is more information.
We hope you will book with us and enjoy Deadwood and our beautiful Black Hills. We would welcome you as our guests.

The Trolley schedule states that the trolley should arrive about 38 minutes past the hour but take this with a grain of salt. Delays may be caused by weather, traffic, construction, etc. You can track the exact location of the trolley on the Deadwood Trolley Tracker on cityofdeadwood.com. Very hard to find property from instructions hard to see the driveway to property. Needed some extra cleaning but the beds were comfortable so were the pillows.

The home was very nice and worked out well for us. It is on the end of Deadwood near Lead which can be convenient for several good rides. The only drawback is getting to downtown at night time. There is a trolley stop within a walkable distance but the trolley arrivals are sporadic so it can be time consuming... and they have earlier closing hours on week nights. Nevertheless, there were 3 couples that stayed and we all had a great time.

Having a whole house for two senior couples was perfect. The fact that we each had a comfortable queen bed and our own bathrooms, made it easy to be ready to go out the door at the same time.

This property was everything the listing says it is. Even with it being close to a busy Deadwood street, it was quiet and secluded, yet a beautiful view of Mickelson Trail and the scenery. The property owner was quick to reply back with a couple questions I had during our stay. I will stay here again!

Kid free weekend friend get away - this was a good location, close to Deadwood downtown and the UTV trails. Easy access.
Wish the business neighbors kept thier property up a bit more for better curb appeal. However, having the Chubby Chipmunk gormet chocolates as a neighbor is not a bad thing!
The property owners were very nice to deal with and accomodating. Very prompt and attentive to all issues/needs.

It was just what we were looking for. Lots of space so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Just a couple things that needs to be fixed or upgraded. The 2 bedrooms on the main floor had a window air conditioning unit but the device in the loft was still winterized in July and couldn't be used?! Nobody slept up there my son only hung out during the day. Next the main floor shower head is leaking it sprayed all over the toilet and floor so had to be wiped up. Last the water was really soft and almost felt like we were oily after washing hands etc. I don't know if thats normal. I'm just used to hard water. The travel to places to do and eat from the place was reasonable. It was nice to get away from the crowds. We would stay again. Thank you.

The home was tucked away in the side of the mountain and across from a beautiful trial. Semi close to town, the trolly was a life saver for the walk back to the home, as it is an uphill walk back. A few house rules that seemed a little over the top ( no shoes on the hardwood, no eating in any bedrooms, no smoking of any kind anywhere on the property-I'm not a smoker but my spouse enjoys a cigar in the evenings) all in all it was a much needed relaxing stay during our RV trip.

We travel to the Deadwood/Lead area frequently but generally stay in a motel. We chose a house for this trip as we were going to be vacationing with family. This house was a perfect choice! Great location, comfortable accommodations, and very clean. We will be staying here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location to Lead, Deadwood & Terry Peak. Warm, cozy & private. Lighting was a little dim with the early nights but overall a great place to stay!

We drove over to Deadwood for a quick celebration of my husband’s 30th birthday. This house was the perfect spot for us and our couple friends! It was in a great location close to town, very clean, and very spacious. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were great. My husband and I stayed in the loft and loved it. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to friends!

4 old broads from EMU from Michigan recently spent 5 nights. The property was perfect for us as it was extremely clean and near all the attractions we wanted to visit. I've never stayed in a VRBO that had such an abundance of paper products or coffee. It was a difficult to originally locate as the car wash we were supposed to drive by does not look like a car wash and the drive looks like it goes to another house. It does as it's a shared driveway. If we weren't old broads, we would definitely stay again, but we have too many other places to go, things to do, and people to see. Pictures on website don't do it justice. It's much more attractive in person.

The place was perfect for our girls weekend! The hiking trail across the road for the day and the trolly is right in front of the street to get downtown in the evenings. The place was one of the cleanest VRBOs I have ever stayed at and would recommend this place to anyone!

Clean, cute home for 3 retired couples. Mattresses are somewhat soft…we prefer firmer but they were fine for 2 nights. Very comfortable overall. Easy check in with detailed directions to get there. Delicious coffee is provided.

The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is the precariousness of stepping out of the tub; it is a big step and slippery. Pillows were so-so and the water softener was void of salt. Very beautiful home otherwise! Would stay again.

The home was clean , close to deadwood taxi $14.00 for 4 people, the outside grill hadn't been cleaned for awhile - but is now ! After cleaning work good . The neighbor was very pleasant - would go back again --

We were in Deadwood for the Forks, Corks and Kegs event. This place was absolutely wonderful. Very clean, comfortable and perfect for a weekend get away. Would be great for a longer stay as well. We were very pleased and would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at the place. The driveway wasn’t plowed but the neighbor did so after a vehicle couldn’t make it up the driveway.

The property was very clean and well set up for our stay. The owner was helpful and extremely responsive.
The driveway was a little hard to find the first time but just follow the directions and you won’t have any problems.

The place is modern, comfortable with a lot of amenities, instructions at places when needed, great location also! Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, board games, gas firepit and more. Bring your clothes and food and you are all set!

When we first drove up we were wondering because of the businesses along the highway, but up on a hillside landing the home sits tucked to the hills. Right across the highway from the storefront parking is a stream, seating, and hills too. The property was nice and clean. We had a very nice stay.

Our group consisted of four women who were in town for a concert. The home was perfect and I will definitely book the next time I am in Deadwood. It was extremely clean, well stocked and in a great location with easy access and good parking. (Once we figured out Google Maps was taking us a very strange and roundabout way, it was easy to find with the host's specific directions). We were able to hop on the Mickelson Trail right across the street, catch the trolley just a few short blocks down the street and bonus is being located right behind the Chubby Chipmunk - home of chocolates that have been featured in swag bags at both the Oscars and the Grammy Awards. (Yup, they are that good.)

Great location. Layout, kitchen, cleanest VRBO I’ve ever rented. Comfy beds, fluffy towels - nice set up. You will not be disappointed! Great location to downtown Deadwood and Lead.

the worst thing was connecting with trolley. after we got that figured out it was really easy to get uptown. the trolley does not have a stop there but if you go down and wave they would stop on the way back. the house was just right for us so we could make some of the meals there and relax after being up town,

Nothing but pleased with all rental experiences. Host responds quickly. Property is exactly as described and shown. Clean, comfortable, and a wonderful central location to easily get to all Black Hills attractions. Would definitely consider this property again the next time we are in the Black Hills.

Nice Cozy Place to Stay
The property was awesome, the only issue was the Trolley into Deadwood did not come out at time noted in residence book, we ended up walking into town, which was a nice walk, and do able, and were able to catch the Trolley home at night.
Very nice place to stay, I will definately recommend it, and stay again should be be in the area.

Great location by Mickelson Trail
Nice clean and comfortable house. Nice fully equipped kitchen that we enjoyed making meals. We enjoyed relaxing outside at night in the yard watching the hills behind the house and across the road. Host responded very quickly to questions and resolved the one issue within 30 minutes. Enjoyed biking and walking the Mickelson Trail.
