About this bed and breakfast
Located in the heart of the historic Belhaven neighborhood, you will enjoy a relaxing stay in this 1932 craftsman bungalow ART GALLERY! The guest suite was completely remodeled in 2021, blending the best of the new with all the character of the old. Original works from local artists are featured throughout the apartment, many of them available for purchase!
The walk-out basement guest suite has large west-facing windows offering you plenty of natural light along with a view of the enclosed backyard.
In the main living area, you can enjoy a movie or binge-watch your favorite show on the 50" smart TV. While you're at it, throw a pizza in the oven, or prepare a nice meal in the kitchen area.
Speaking of the kitchen, you'll love the new custom-built cabinets, concrete countertops, salvaged cypress open shelves, and new stainless steel appliances. You'll find all the kitchen basics to prepare meals, whether it's a quick breakfast or a gourmet dinner for two.
In the bedroom, you'll appreciate the comfortable queen-sized bed and 40" smart TV. If you prefer to not live out of your luggage, there's plenty of room for your clothes in the built-in cabinets and roomy closet.
The bathroom features a sleek walk-in shower, industrial concrete countertop, and a bespoke towel rack built from industrial pipes and salvaged wood. You will enjoy the natural body soap, shampoo and conditioner, and a hair dryer and first aid kit are also provided. Please note that the bathroom door is too narrow for a wheelchair, as is the pathway to the toilet and shower.
Just outside your guest suite door you will find a well-lit patio to enjoy a meal or perhaps evening cocktails.
Need to do some laundry? New full-size washer and dryer are tucked away in the guest suite for your use, free of charge.
You will access the guest suite from the back side of the house. Just go down the driveway on the left side of the house to the back yard. You can park your car in the first carport space (on the right). Additional free parking is available on the street.
Check-out is easy at the Belhaven Arts Hideaway. We just ask that you pick up after yourselves (don't leave any big messes), and start the dishwasher before you leave. We'll take care of garbage removal, doing the laundry, cleaning and sanitizing the suite; that's our job, not yours!
Andrew & Kait live on the main level of the home and are the primary hosts. They are happy to assist you as needed, offer local recommendations, or chat for a few moments, but will also allow you all the privacy you desire.
As described above, the guest suite is equipped with two smart TVs. The living room set comes equipped with "Samsung TV Plus" channels, while the bedroom has a 40" set (not a Samsung). Guests can use either TV to log in to their own paid subscription services.
Please note that for longer stays (beyond two weeks), you may need to replenish some of the consumable starter supplies such as coffee, sugar, creamer, TP, soaps, etc.

This was the perfect place to stay in Jackson. Super clean with plenty of space. We were only there for the weekend, but it would have worked just as well for a weeklong stay.
Full size amenities, and covered parking were deeply appreciated!
We felt so welcomed and the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. Would absolutely book here again.

We have stayed at many places in the Belhaven neighborhood, but this was our best experience. Great space with attention to detail. Loved the location for taking walks and proximity to all the restaurants we wanted to access. We’ll be back!

Stayed here with teen daughter visiting eldest at college. Perfect amenities. Immaculate. Art and decor made me want to redecorate back home.
Covered parking, myriad of tv subscriptions. Walking neighborhood with convenience to Belhaven and Millsaps. Easy check in and check out with wonderful local coffee.
Perfect size for us with relaxation with the eldest for dinner and a movie. Will definitely return!

Couldn’t ask for better. Such a wonderful remodel to this space. No expense spared. Very comfortable, clean, and hosts were extremely accommodating and communicative. Highly recommended. I hope to use again when in the area. You won’t be disappointed. They do a great justice to the VRBO community. Extremely pleased with everything about this space and stay.

This was a quiet little place to rest while in the area. It was easy to find. There were sufficient dishes for cooking the simple meals we prepared. Check in and check out was easy. The hosts were very easy to communicate with too!

This was the 2nd time we stayed here for a month+.
Communication with Brent is always super easy. He responds to every message, question, request, and concern immediately. Thanks, Brent!
The location is perfect. It's one block from Belhaven and a 2 or 3 minute drive to the interstate. It's nearby Fondren, downtown, grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and entertainment spots.
It's charming and spacious! It's furnsihed nicely and has full size modern appliances.
It has become our go-to while we are in Mississippi visiting family.

We loved the neighborhood, walking to dinner and breakfast. This trip we didn’t cook, but could easily with the fabulous kitchen and supplies. Hideaway is a perfect name for this garden entry space. Loved the car just outside of the door. The host was very responsive to any request or questions I had before the visit. We even had car trouble and they sent someone to help us.

My husband and I stayed for a month. Everything was spectacular! The check-in and check-out procedures are seamless. The location is perfect; close to everything (restaurants, shops, entertainment, places of worship, Belhaven, etc.)
The house is spotless, comfy, cozy, and meticulously decorated. It has ALL the amenities for a phenomenal stay.
Kait and Brent are both amazing, welcoming,
accommodating hosts who're always an email, a phone call, or a knock on the door away.

We were delighted with our weekend stay in this beautifully decorated, pristinely kept bungalow. The floors were quite literally clean enough to eat off. Everything you need for comfort and relaxation is thoughtfully provided- from books to read, games to play, coffee and tea, plenty of ice, to bath basics in the beautifully tiled shower. The host was gracious, kind, and easily accessible in the event of any questions, etc., the guest might have. The location was peaceful, secure, and mere minutes from all the wonderful shops and restaurants of Fondren. We also loved the beautiful art that was displayed throughout the space. We would highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay in this charming bungalow again.

Upon arrival, the property was exactly as advertised. It was decorated beautifully and the attention to fine details surpassed expectation. Brent was very responsive to messaging, and was a pleasure to meet in person. The backyard space was very nice for quaint outdoor dinners, and the neighbor’s fur babies were always eager to greet me making me feel even more welcome especially given that I was traveling alone. I always felt safe, and a bonus was having a covered parking spot. If I’m ever back in Jackson, this will be my go to spot. Thanks for making this old girl feel right at home!

Highly recommend a stay in this charming retreat
This was our first time making reservations with VRBO and we're so glad we did. Picking the Belhaven Arts Hideaway was the perfect place for us. The area is quiet, with lots of historic homes around. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and a lovely place to call "home" for three nights. Brent was a wonderful and attentive host. We had some nice chats with him at the end of our days touring Mississippi. If we ever find ourselves back in the Jackson area, Belhaven Arts Hideaway definitely will be our first choice for lodging.

Amazingly decorated apartment in an historic neighborhood
Absolutely beautiful, right from the pages of HGTV. We couldn't have imagined a more wonderful place to stay in Jackson. It would be hard to find a more gracious and friendly host. We loved walking around the neighborhood and nearby college campus. Highly recommend this property if you are staying in this area.
