About this chalet rental
New as of February 2024, we have leveled up in the game room department! There are so many games to play and fun to be had, you will be entertained for days! Let the kids play while you take a relaxing dip in the hot tub off of the back patio- there is something for everyone! Of course your fur family is welcome too! The Hideaway can accommodate a maximum of 2 pets.
You will arrive at the property after a beautiful drive through the mountains. The driveway is steep but don't let that deter you! That allows for the beautiful mountain view from the front of the house! Once inside, you will find an inviting living space made for good conversations around cups of coffee. Off the living room is a full kitchen with all the equipment you need for any meal you would like to make. Step down off the living room into a game room experience like no other! Hours and hours upon entertainment to be had! There is a full sized air hockey table, a foosball table, poker table and stand up arcade game. Not to mention the many board games and large screen TV! Located on the other end of the house you will find the comfortable bedrooms, away from the noise and fun of the game room. Out on the back patio is a dining table for 6 and a separate seating area for quiet mornings or evenings. Also, relax out in the hot tub under the stars! You will enjoy your time away here at the Hideaway!

The property was very clean and pet friendly. The beds were fairly comfortable. Communication was optimal with the home owner. The area was beautiful, however the driveway is narrow and steep. We were traveling with a full size truck and a midsize truck it was a very tight fit. However, I do believe the driveway would be fine with two average size cars. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub, we have visited other properties and the hot tub was not very powerful this one was perfect and clean. A word of advise the property may only be a few miles away from your attractions, however because of the speed limit and the terrain of the area it will take longer than expected to get to your destination. This is nothing negative about the property just a word of caution for people that were new to the area as we were. This property worked well for our mostly adult children and ourselves. We greatly enjoyed the game room.

Loved our stay here, home was clean and quiet. Very relaxing. Everyone enjoyed the game room, especially the video game machine and air hockey.. Dogs loved it too. Home was equipped with 2 kennels for the dogs, which was very convenient. Home was well furnished, plenty of good coffee supplied but could use more dinner plates and better pans for pancakes, eggs and such. There is a griddle but no power cord so we couldn't use it. Hot tub was nice and relaxing, but patio cushions need to be replaced. Nice grill on covered patio, we used it alot, but bring your own charcoal and fluid. Very steep driveway, but 2 vehicles will fit at the top. We had a medium SUV and full size pickup truck parked. Andrea was in communication with us throughout the week and responded promptly to my emails. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend...Thank you...

I am so glad we stayed here. The location was perfect! I had 3 kids with me and the game room was a game changer! After a long day hiking or exploring when I wanted to sit in a comfy chair and relax the arcade, karaoke machine, air hockey etc kept the kids busy while I relaxed by a fire. We allowed the kids to watch some extra TV and it was perfect having kids shows on the game room TV and whatever we wanted to watch in the main living area. The layout is perfect for knowing what the kids were up to while I made meals. The dining area is not as crowded as it looks in the picture. Absolutely planning to book here again in the future. It was so peaceful. One of us worked remote from the bedroom with the bunk beds a few days and the WIFI was fast- lots of meetings and no issues at all with video quality. My only regret is not staying longer.

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin with the family and even our fur baby. The owner pretty much thought of everything to have at the cabin if you needed something. For the fur babies there were towels, beds, bowls, and crates. There were extra blow-up mattress and linens. It was very clean and cozy. Our family loved the game room and the living room, it's where we spent most of our time when we were there at the cabin. The kitchen was also amazing stocked with everything. The owner even provided a huge bowl up different K cups for coffee. We definitely would stay here again had an amazing time loved every minute of it.

Andrea's home is clean and so comfortable. We enjoyed lazy mornings by the fire before a quick drive into town. We always look forward to returning to the hideaway in the evening to unwind. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal and had everything we needed and the kitchen. Andrea was great about keeping in touch during the week.

The house itself was good. The cleanliness was not that good. I found a sheet of fried chicken in the oven, left by the last visitors, that was molded!
The hot tub was in a whole in the back. it was not easy to get in.
The game room was the best part of our stay, we all enjoyed it.

The house was great. My family and I had a wonderful time visiting the Smokies and enjoyed our stay. The house has plenty of stuff to keep the kids entertained and everyone really lived the hot tub after long days out.

This home was perfect for our family stay. You can tell the owners were very thoughtful in all the extras they have available, fully stocked kitchen, pool/ jacuzzi, towels, supplies for your furry friends, even a couple different crate for them to stay comfortable in. Our kids also loved the game room. It was where we spent a lot of time when at the home. The area is a quiet escape, which is just what we needed. The landscaping outside is so well done making great space of the outdoors. I also can’t say enough good things about the responsiveness of the owner. You won’t be disappointed in staying here.

My family of 6 plus a pup just returned from a week long stay at The Hideaway. We loved this home! The cleanest and most well stocked VRBO we’ve ever had. The host is excellent and checked in with us after our first night to make sure everything was as expected. We cooked, played games, watched movies and had a wonderful phone free week together. Highly recommend this home.

What a perfect rental this was for our family! The rental makes use of every inch of space it has. We used all 3 bedrooms and spent lots of time in the Gameroom during the evening, and even in little 15-minute increments between going places - it kept people off their phones, a happy consequence! The kitchen is well-stocked and the eating area is more spacious than you might think from the photos - we had a nice pasta meal one night. The rental was clean and nicely decorated with a modern cabin feel.
The location of the rental allows you to be close to Gatlinburg but out of the craziness of the strip - something we valued. It is about a 15-minute drive to Food City and the liquor store, about a 25-minute drive to the entrance to the Park, and quite close to the artists' loop. All the roads in Gatlinburg are winding and steep - including the road to this cabin. The driveway is also steep and does require you to back down to leave. It is manageable. There is room for two cars. We did have a larger dog with us, and there was not much level land, but there was enough for her to find a space.
Andrea was a great host. She communicated promptly with me before arrival and was very attentive to our needs once we arrived, checking to see that all was well after Day 1. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This property was perfect for our stay in Gaitlinburg. It was close to the downtown area of Gaitlinburg, and just a short drive to the attractions in Pigeon Forge.
The home was clean, updated, and offered many things to do if you just wanted to have a relaxing day at the house.The hot tub was a hit with our kids, and the game room was an added bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal. We were also happy to see a pack n play available when we arrived, as we left ours at home.
Our host was responsive and kind throughout our stay!
Yes, the driveway is steep, but not unmanageable. Our preference was to back in and drive out of the driveway, rather than drive in and back out.
Our only regret was not staying longer, there is so much to do in this area.

Stayed here for a family spring break getaway! The property is a nicely updated and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room and used both each evening. The location is good about 20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Andrea is a wonderful host and responded to any questions I had very timely! The fact that the property is pet friendly is a huge plus and we would stay here again!

The house was very clean. Everything that you could need is provided. The only thing that I can recommend bringing is a few spices, mayo, mustard, etc... Not far from all the attractions and easy access to stores. Will definitely book this property again.

The house was perfect! The house had everything we wanted/needed and was very comfortable and clean! My 3 adult children couldn’t wait to get back to the house everyday to enjoy the game room and hot tub! Andrea was a perfect host - there if needed, but not overly “present”. We were just sad we had to leave.

We hate the endless sea of people, madness, hustle and bustle of staying in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge but we have also had negative experiences booking cabins that were TOO remote, too high in elevation making it stressful for basic usage. This Hillside Hideaway was absolutely perfect because it was happy medium. Paved nice road right to the doorway but perched up probably 30ft you get great views and honestly in 4 days we didn’t see anyone yet if I needed to run to the store the property is just a couple minutes off of the main road. It’s about 15min away from a main grocery store (there are closer markets but very limited in items and hours of operation) so just be sure if arriving late like we did you stop beforehand and pickup stuff you want to be sure to have on hand for that 1st night/morning to ensure you don’t miss out on that morning cup of coffee like I did! 😜
Game room was a huge hit. Loved seeing my family playing together there for hours. Really a cozy great little place that you will enjoy!

Fantastic experience at this cabin. We had 4 adults and 4 kids aged 10 months - 11. Cabin was very clean, nicely decorated, great amenities and good amount of space for 3 families and 3 generations. The hot tub was fantastic and easy to use. Hostess is incredibly responsive and helpful. We wanted a cabin out of the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge but an easy drive to Dollywood and this rental did not disappoint. We also saw a black bear walk through the yard and keep heading down the mountain, which was very exciting! Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is an older ranch-style home that has been beautifully remodeled. Our teenage children especially liked the gameroom area. We also really enjoyed the new hot tub. As other reviewers mentioned, the driveway is steep and parking can be difficult if you have more than one vehicle. Good communication by owners on check in/check out process.

Everything you need is on property- including hot tub towels. Communication with the host was fast and efficient. We will bring our golf clubs next trip. There is a nice course very close to the property. The driveway was steep but that is true of most properties in the area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!!

This house tucked away in the mountains was amazing! The house was clean and ready for us to be there. The kids loved the game room. We had nightly air hockey tournaments.
The communication with the host was phenomenal. We had issues unlocking the door with the code. She responded late at night to make sure we got in. She sent daily emails making sure we didn’t need anything.
The neighbors are far away but close enough to alert you about visitors. The visitor was small cute fuzzy bear. The host provided is the video of our visitor per our request as we wanted to see a bear.
I hope you pick this place during your stay as you will not be disappointed.

We really enjoyed the location here. We were close to Gatlinburg without being right in all of the tourist attractions. The house was clean (I would say the cleaning company could clean under the sofas and beds a bit better though - just leftover crumbs that are easily missed) and well stocked with things you may need for a stay (dish soap, detergent, hand soaps and toilet paper). It was nice to not stock up on those things during our short stay (4 nights). We traveled with our 4 kids and felt comfortable. The kids loved the game room with the arcade game and air hockey. Andrea communicated well and checked in on us throughout our stay. The neighborhood is quiet as well. We would stay here again and would recommend to others!

The property I rented was excellent! Couldn’t ask for much more! Andrea’s cabin is very clean and met our expectations. My grandchildren had a wonderful time in the spacious game room as the adults enjoyed the fabulous clean jacuzzi! The kitchen was equipped with every utensil, pan etc….. that we needed. I definitely recommend this cabin! You will not be disappointed😃

We had an amazing time! The cabin is clean, well stocked, updated and beautiful.. the hot tub and game room were both huge hits for our kids (and the grown ups) ;) The host was incredibly helpful, and very quick to respond to questions/concerns. The location is perfect if you are wanting to be close to downtown Gatlinburg. Easy to find the cabin, and the roads weren’t bad at all leading up to it. The driveway is quite steep- so keep that in mind if you have elderly with you, or a vehicle that doesn’t do well with steep hills. Overall, the place was phenomenal, and my family and I will be booking again in the future! Thank you Andrea!

July 4th weekend vacation
My family and i enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very cozy, clean, and family friendly. It had everything we needed. One thing we liked about the cabin was it had a game room. Even my 1 1/2 year old daughter enjoyed it. Also, the owner was very quick to reply. The only problem we encounted with the place was the parking driveway. I dont think it was not mentioned on the site that the park driveway was very steep. We had a 12 seater big van, 2 senior citizens with walking problems, and a 1.5 year old toddler. We had a lot of stuff with us too. So walking up and down was kind of a safety issue that we saw, and we couldnt park our van all the way up close to the house or it might back up all the way down the cliff on the other side of the road. So we just had to parallel park our car down the street. Thank god we could see it from our room to make sure our van was still ok. Thus, definitely, the park driveway was the only downsized we noticed. All in all, we had a great time in our cabin and in Tennessee. :-)

My family and I spent a long weekend at this property. It had a really nice modern cabin feel. My husband and boys enjoyed the air hockey table and old school arcade games. Easy access to Dollywood and downtown Gatlinburg. Located behind a golf course, the road to access the property was narrow and steep but the scenery was beautiful. The driveway is also steep. There were other properties nearby so we didn’t feel isolated. I would definitely recommend this property. We really enjoyed our stay.
