Everything was great with the property! Close to all of the activity and NCSU so you can walk to everything! Since it is in an urban neighborhood you should expect some noise from cars and pedestrians, especially on weekends. This did not bother us at all - just added to the experience!

All around good place to say.

We loved our stay at this property. We were in town to check out areas for a possible move to NC.
Despite a small snafu at check in (wrong code given and slow communication) EVERYTHING else was seamless and perfect for our stay. The property was VERY clean and stocked with enough essentials for cooking some of our meals. Like other reviews mentioned, there is a lot of noise from the street and train but we enjoyed it (very different to our life in the suburbs). Our toddler absolutely LOVED the train! The location allowed us to walk to Publix, Starbucks, Mellow Mushroom and our new favorite, Mo Joe’s! You could easily walk to downtown spots too, just not happening with our 2 year old. :)
This property is so centrally located, we got to all our places with such ease - NC State, Duke, Cary, Holly Springs, Durham, Wake Forest, Apex AND all the places downtown.
We also went to a few spots our host recommended (Marbles Children Museum and some breakfast spots) and he was spot on!
Overall, highly recommend this property!

Building is great. Amenities are a little lacking. Error of omission for the active railroad line less than 50 feet from the windows. Dryer and dishwasher were balky. Make sure they’re running 10 minutes after you start them. All glasses are plastic and no wineglasses.

Our family stayed here for Thanksgiving and NC State football. The home is decorated nicely and fit our needs. Location is great. Walk to downtown. Noisy at night but not awful. Comfy beds. The home could have been cleaned better. Had to wipe down master bath and change the sheets. Towels that were left were still damp from dryer and wet ones left in washer. All plates silverware and cooking pots were dirty in the cabinets and had to be washed before use. Outside trashcan was missing and neighbor reported us to owner before we could address it. Owner was not very quick to respond to concerns. Just said thank you for letting me know. No apologies. Overall home and location great. Cleanliness and response not so much.

My wife, son and I were in Raleigh for a soccer tournament and this was the first time we've ever been there. This townhome was perfect for us! It is exactly as it is in the pictures and it was incredibly welcoming as it was clean, in order, and just immaculate. We all felt very at home here and would have enjoyed a longer stay for sure. The location is literally a block from a grocery store and a block or two away from lots of bars and restaurants. One would think it would be loud given the location and proximity to NC State, but we were there over a weekend and had no issues sleeping or with any noise at all. It's so convenient to get on and off a main road and everything is in walking distance. We felt very safe walking at night and just really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with.
We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others!

Staying here was very easy. The house is in a great location and had everything we need for the short stay.

Love the style and layout of the townhouse. Walkable neighborhood to several restaurants and bars. Even though it’s in a hub it’s still quiet.

The house was actually a lot bigger than we thought it would be based on the photos! Great layout and comfortable space. The location was perfect for us during our stay in Raleigh. Check in and check out were easy.

We had a great stay in this beautiful home. Very convenient
location with groceries, restaurants, bars, etc within walking distance. Would absolutely stay here again if we are back in Raleigh!!

Townhouse was very comfortable. Host was communicative & helpful. We were moving our daughter into a new apartment and all her things were in our van. It was great to have a garage to keep everything safe. We walked to restaurants & grocery store. Nearby train didn’t bother us but people walking the tracks late night did.

If you’re visiting Raleigh and wanting to take in all the downtown excitement, this is the place to stay! And it’s a quick drive to RDU airport! Downside of the location is loud traffic and the train that rides by but they’ve offered sound machines in the bedrooms to help with these noises! The home was well set up and functional for our family to stay, cook and hang out. We liked the bedrooms both having en-suite bathrooms and full closets to store all of our things during the week long stay. My biggest complaint is the comfort of the beds, the king being the least comfortable. If this were remedied, I’d only ever stay here when visiting Raleigh!

Very nice condo with lots of space for the four of us. The attached garage was a great bonus. The only downside is crazy loud cars that drive the street all hours of the night and the nearby train.

Amazing property definitely would recommend for a weekend downtown.

Really enjoyed this VRBO-could use updated mattresses and if you are a light sleeper the cars on the main road can get disruptive but all in all we loved the location, we walked everywhere and would definitely stay again.

Worked remotely here for a week and everything was great. There is city noise but it was not a big issue. Location is great in downtown.

Great Location. Bedding was old. Dim lights. Could of been a lot cleaner upstairs in bedrooms and bathrooms. Worked for our group with a great location. Never noticed the train that was mentioned in other reviews. Would stay again if and only if we were guaranteed the cleanliness was better.

Management very communicative and helpful! We got in late and had questions and they were responding quickly even though it was late. Beds were comfortable and the place was spacious. The master was much hotter than the rest of the house so we had to sleep with the window open but it wasn’t noisy. Note that the stairs are steep and slippery (wood) and there’s no baby gate so we had to be extra cautious with our toddler.

Visited Raleigh to visit our son who is at University there. Great location for downtown museums, local restaurants, bars and shops. Any issues were dealt with and host contacted us when we needed communication.

Spent the weekend with family at this townhouse. Very close to downtown. Property is right next to rail line and busy highway so if your are sensitive to noise might not be for you. Beautifully decorated with newer kitchen and baths. Property owner very responsive.

My daughter and I stayed at this home for 3 weeks during a ballet intensive at the Carolina Ballet. It is a cozy place in a great location! I love running and was able to run 10 miles in every direction, which was wonderful. I enjoyed the beautiful neighborhoods just north of the home as well as many runs through the NC State campus. You can walk to numerous good restaurants without worrying about driving or finding parking, which is an enjoyable way to enjoy the city. I would definitely stay again next summer if my daughter does this dance intensive again.

Wedding weekend
This property was just the right size for our weekend. My husband and I were able to unpack and work on the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding. The table was great for making flower arrangements.
The only negatives we had to ask for extra towels, hand soap and dish detergent, and light bulbs, which were delivered the day we requested.
There was a garage which was nice to store some wedding boxes in, but it had not been swept in a while.
Loved the sheets, would like a set for myself but the bed did squeak excessively.
Lighting was a little dim, and a few bulbs were burned out.
We will probably be staying there again.

Good for lenient guests. Discerning guests look elsewhere.
The house was nicely appointed and met our needs well. The location was perfect for getting to all of our desired locations in and around Raleigh in very short time. The access was easy and the available garage and driveway made it all the easier. The provided information booklet helped a lot as well.
The only drawbacks to the location were what has been echoed in other reviews. The nearby street is always active, but the street noise at night on Friday and Saturday were quite loud with the area being a prime location to nightlife during great weather. Great for going out, less so for sleeping. The provided sound machine in the Master bedroom helps tremendously with this. As mentioned in other reviews, there are train tracks directly next to the property, but a train was only witnessed and heard one afternoon during our three night stay. It was not disruptive when it did pass by.
The only other comments to be shared are on the property itself. There seemed to be a slight debate amongst my other guests and I on what was and wasn’t acceptable with a rental. The general consensus was that the home had some rough edges overall, with various items being well-lived (carpet stains, minor wall damage, burned out lights, wall anchors present, a broken towel rack, squeaky master bed frame and box spring, leaves all over the garage, missed areas of cleaning). While I would consider renting this home again if I were in Raleigh, one other guest would not due to the level of wear and the house cleaning not being up to their standards.
I suppose if you are a more lenient guest and like the location, this house is a good choice. If you are a discerning guest, this house may not best fit your needs.

Shocking!!!
We have stayed at a VRBO recently that is literally 5 units down from this one, so we have a very accurate comparison (in addition to our many VRBO stays in other places). Just off the top, there was no mention of the train (which we knew about from our past stay in the other unit), but it is LOUD and shakes the house and absolutely should be disclosed. We also had a lot of late-night partiers in the clubs across the street at the end of the complex where we were (cops, drunk people, loud music, screaming, fights, etc...). The general location is great as you are able to walk right downtown to restaurants and shops, but this needs to be in the listing that it's a fun party area. These are important, but not really part of our rating.
This unit is FILTHY and in disrepair. Towel racks ripped off, peeling wallpaper, very stained carpets, dead bugs, inoperable windows that aren't fitted. In addition to this, BOTH beds in the house are completely uncomfortable and squeeky with terrible bedding. Yes, we tried both! The master bed has a metal four-poster vibe that still has the stickers on it! Yes, manufacturer's stickers on all 4 top rails. It also has a picture hung behind the head of the bed so that you can't even sit up to watch tv in bed. There was also a dirty pillowcase sitting in the Master closet just stuffed on the shelf. The amount of towels was ridiculous. The downstairs half bath had a wash cloth, not a hand towel on the towel ring...with dead bugs in the corner. For two grown adults, we were allotted 2 bath towels for 3 days. The kitchen was reasonable, but one of the decorations is a cake plate that literally has a price tag with a red line discount on the TOP of the plate. The fireplace is not prepped for operation and has no instructions. The manual is still chained to the logs in the fireplace. It was rainy and cold and we absolutely planned on relaxing in front of the fire. Just NO attention to detail or care!
One positive was that the tv's and their ROKU units were easy to operate, but only because we have one at home. No instructions.
Other positive was that there was a garage remote available to take in the garage and use so we didn't have to get out in the rain to open the side door and push the garage door opener.
This place could be really nice with some care and maintenance. The unit at the end was beautiful, luxurious and homey. We wish the owner luck with his place, but would never stay there again.

Disastrous stay; left after one night
We checked in for a five day stay in March, 2022.
The location is central and super walkable. We were surprised by the amount of traffic and train noise, though.
The place was dark and not well-cleaned — a pretty rug from the living room photos was badly stained; mildew was on the shower curtains; a mop and bucket sat by the side door. We were on vacation and didn’t want to be brought down, so we rolled with it.
Things got bad at bedtime. The main bedroom bed was beyond uncomfortable, with a broken frame that caused the whole bed to move and creak loudly at the slightest motion. The worst of it, though, was waking up at 5AM furiously itching and finding a constellation of welts on my chest.
Yikes.
We left first thing in the morning and found another place for the remaining nights of our stay.

Nice townhouse but noisy location
First time using VRBO. The unit was nice but to close to the trains which was not mentioned in the listing. A lot of steps for senior citizens. Communication with the host should be via text not email. There was no toaster which was listed in the inventory. The host said he would order one which didn’t help us at all.

Great location, weird rules charges, awful bed
Great location, check in was easy. We loved having a garage downtown. The place is right beside the train tracks downtown so know that going into renting this property. The beds were not the most comfortable and we ended up leaving early. We also got charged for an additional guest ($60). It was just me my wife and my two year old daughter, so I’m guessing they charged us for our toddler.
