Wonderful cabin in the woods. Perfectly secluded but still easy access to the highway. Would certainly recommend!

Booked this cabin 2 months in advance. Everything went good till the lock box would not open. Had to spend the first of our two night stay in a hotel. We did lose valuable time and did not get to explore the caves. The managment team did make everyhting right though, so that was a big plus. All in all it was a beautiful property and we where able to enjoy ourselfs.
4.6
Drive way is very steep, definitely need a four wheel drive vehicle. Only half the hot tub jets work. Other than that is a nice property and place to stay.
4.6
Beautiful little place for the two of us. The company did call and tell us we didnt have hot water before arrived. They did give us wine and firewood for the trouble. The 2nd night it was fixed, so that was great. Definitely have a 4×4 to get up the driveway. Hot tub didnt have 2 jets working, but we didnt need all of it. Overall it was relaxing and i would probably recommend just for couples as its small

The property was wonderful! It's a little hairy getting up the driveway so I recommend an all wheel or 4 wheel drive. Also, there was no warm/hot water our entire stay.
Otherwise a lovely stay! A lot of things to do in Logan and Athens! We reallt enjoyed ourselves!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin as a getaway. We went all around the area to various towns for dinners and drinks and the location was perfect. Exactly what we needed for the weekend - privacy and quiet.

Awesome

The cabin is very nice. It could use a thorough cleaning (light fixtures, rack above stove, etc). I was surprised there was nowhere to put clothes away. We lived out of our suitcases. The hot tub was not working properly which was a big downfall. Only half the jets worked. We were glad we took our own lawn chairs. The chairs by the fire pit were broken and cracked. Not usable. There were a few other minor things. The cabin is in a beautiful area and close to many things to do. We did really like the cabin. Just needs some TLC! (The dates were actually 3/3-3/6)

My partner and I booked this cabin for a weekend away and enjoyed our stay! As other reviews have mentioned, some of the jets in the hot tub don’t work but it still heated up and everything. We also had trouble connecting to the WiFi in the cabin and our cell service was spotty up there. The cabin itself was very clean and well kept, the bed was pretty comfy as well, and the location was great. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

We enjoyed exploring the property. The wildlife. The quiet and beauty that was all around. The hot tub on the patio.
4.6
Nice quiet time. A nice weekend stay away from home.

Me and girlfriend just wanted a cozy couple days away and it was definitely relaxing.

This is a great little spot for a couple or a small family. Very clean and well equipped. Only drawback is the driveway. Very steep and hard to navigate, particularly in the dark. Otherwise, would definitely recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our trip over all! It was a cute cozy cabin, very secluded and private but also local to stores and restaurants. Like many others, the only complaint is the hot tub not working fully. The jets only worked on one side of the tub, I even email prior due to other concerns to see if they were functioning properly and we were told yes… but they weren’t. It didn’t ruin our trip, but would have been nice. We also would have enjoyed cards, checkers or some board games as it stated there was a “game room” but there wasn’t even a simple stack of cards. All in all, it’s a pleasant little cabin that serves the purpose of a short get away with a lot to do in the area.

We had the best time at Prairie Rose Cabin. The accommodations were exactly what we expected. The only down side to our visit was lack of open-able windows. The summer AC units were still in the windows so we couldn’t let the crisp fall air in the cabin. The bedroom had a slider with screen, but there was a large tear in the screen so we couldn’t open that either. Other that those minor items of personal preference, everything was great!
4.6
The cabin is nice. Location is great! Unfortunately I was sick and wasn’t able to do any of the planned hiking. Would have been nice if the hot tub work properly. I understand why it probably hasn’t been replaced because you would have to tear the deck apart to replace it. I would replace hot tub and increase rate. You have a really nice cabin and having a working hot tub is a great bonus for visitors on vacation. One of the amenities I was looking for. Kinda disappointing. Could also use a couple blankets and fix the lighting inside. There was no blankets. On a positive note, the cabin was really clean, and in a great location!

This was a very clean property, we appreciated this most of all! Close to all major attractions in the area.

Property was good except for the hot tub didn't function properly. Called management immediately but no one showed up to fix
4.6
The cabin itself was very nice and what we expected but we only gave it a 3 overall because the furniture was very old. It was impossible to be comfortable on the ratty futon that continuously slid out of place, the recliner was lumpy and would not stay reclined. Placing a topper on a mattress does not make it comfortable and inviting. For these reasons we would not book this cabin again. ☹️

The overall stay was great. The cabin was nice, and great for two people looking for a short weekend retreat. It was close to the city and to the recreational areas, but it was also away from others and felt secluded. Company was easy to deal with and were very responsive. The Hocking Hills area was beautiful and the hiking is really nice. Only a couple of small issues with the overall rating. The bed sheets had what appeared to be an oil stain on them. Extra sheets were on -site, so that was an easy fix. The ceiling fans however were not cleaned. We didn't use them due to heavy dust. The management was again responsive and stated they will rectify in the future. Lastly, the hot tub was a big option for us. Only half of the jets worked, however, for two people it was fine. It was clean and we used it every night. Overall, this was a great experience and the lodging was perfect for the me and my wife. I would recommend in the future.

Very needed getaway. This was our second time renting this site. Beautiful cabin, scenery. All comforts of home. Hot tub needs a clean and fresh chemicals, please.
Will come again.

Nice cozy little cabin. Good location for privacy for a couples getaway.
4.6
Perfect little cabin for the two of us. Hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking although a couple of jets didn’t work. Cabin was clean and well stocked.
4.6
We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. I could see how the driveway to get to the property would be extremely challenging in the winter months with snow. The property and the cabin itself were as described, very private and met our expectations. Great location, good eats nearby and the cabin itself was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked if you plan on cooking. Communication with property management was extremely easy. Few notes: The wifi does not work well at all. There is a pet fee of $50 that wasn’t mentioned in the original posting. Only 1 set of jets was operational on the hot tub. The living room furniture (recliner and futon) are extremely uncomfortable.
4.6
Quiet and cozy cabin. Hot tub, fireplace and lots of land to walk about. Perfect for a weekend getaway.
4.6
Overall enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was nice. Only issues…. No internet( was Wi-Fi but wouldn’t connect to internet), futon was very uncomfortable, arm on chair was broke, and listing said dvd and games, there was nothing there.
4.6
Wi-Fi didn’t work but no big deal
An enjoyable stay
Would stay again

The property itself is lovely. A cozy cabin with lots of amenities and things to use (dishes, towels, ect.). The hot tub was nice but it was in need of a good deep cleaning as some of the filters in it were pretty dirty. It also had quite a few jets in it that didn’t work. My main issue wasn’t their fault but do not count on the wifi working. it was out our entire three night stay and i made two phone calls where i was told i’d receive a call back but i never got one or any type of compensation which was disappointing as the main reason we chose this property was the wifi. It’s located approximately 25-30 min from the state park itself but only 10-20 minutes from most other things. Overall a good experience, loved the back deck. Main takeaway: Great private location, wifi is probably not going to work, hot tub could use a deep clean and possible maintenance.
4.6
The description of this property was spot on. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Lovely property, secluded and quiet . The cabin had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.
4.6
Great place to stay. Easy drive to all Hocking Hills attractions. The cabin was cozy and had the amenities as advertised. The only small issue was that the coffee pot did not work well.
4.6
The cabin was clean and well stocked. It had all the appliances you need and the heater worked well (we went in early spring and had cool weather).
We really appreciated the quiet off-road location. Even so, it was closed enough to Logan to take advantage of the local eateries.
The management was very nice, answering all our questions. We were not familiar with the process for cabin rentals so we had a few. The process was really easy.
Based on this experience, My wife and I would do it again.
4.6
Super cute cabin that was perfect for a little getaway for the 2 of us. We were able to bring our dog, too, which made things easier. Property was clean and had all the essentials. Responsiveness of property management was top tier. Will definitely book with this company again.
4.6
We stay here at end of honeymoon. It was not romantic at all. It felt like a hunting cabin. I do not recommend going there for honeymoon. Also I would take romantic off it description of cabin on vrbo.
4.6
We enjoyed the cabin and the location. We was able to enjoy the hot tube and the peace and quiet.
4.6
Very relaxing
4.6
The cabin was nice and cozy however it is alittle musty and the hot tub is in need of repairs and cleaning. I would definitely go back but I would also call ahead and be sure everything is clean and in good working order.
4.6
Exactly as listed. Loved our short stay!!

We really wanted to rate this cabin as wonderful, but unfortunately it just wasn't possible. The first disappointment was the hot tub. We made it clear to the rental office several times that a working hot tub was a must. Upon arrival we took the cover off of the hot tub and found the water to be a greenish color, the tub its self appeared dirty, and no sanitation chemicals. A cover lift also would have been nice, and probably help the overall life of the cover. Since this was one of the most important amenities for our trip we were willing to overlook the unsavory water color. Later in the evening we decided to get into the tub, only for it to turn off on us several times while we were in it. My boyfriend reset it numerous times like the cabin instructions said, but it still would not stay on, and if it did only one set of jets would come on. Needless to say the hot tub needs some serious attention, and guests should not be mislead into believing that it's in working order. The cabin could be really cute and wonderful with a few updates like new furniture and new decor that isn't broken. The couch is a futon that is not comfortable at all and is very outdated . There were also no games or movies in the cabin like the VRBO site advertised. Luckily we had beautiful weather and we were able to be outside most of our trip. Over all, it was a nice and cozy place, beautiful and private outside setting, and the rental company were good to work with. However just relaxing in a hot tub was big want for our trip, and what we had was dirty stagnant bathwater. This was a let down of the weekend expectations.
4.6
The property was exactly what we were looking for even though the hot tub was down for maintenance. We didn't need it or even think about using it because we were involved with so many other activities around the area.
4.6
The property was beautiful and well maintained. The cabin was very clean and well kept. We loved the location of the property, as it was close to our destinations but yet secluded from the world. The bed was comfortable. We loved having the option to cook using either the oven, grill, or fire pit. We were extremely upset that the hot tub didn’t work the whole 4 days we stayed here. We were in contact with property management twice a day, but nothing was ever resolved. We were disappointed, as I had reached out prior to booking to ensure the hot tub was private to the cabin, which it was, as that was a huge selling point for us. We were disappointed that it never got resolved and that property management didn’t keep us posted, I had to keep calling to check in.
Other than the hot tub not working, we would definitely recommend this cabin. We enjoyed our stay, cabin was very clean, and they even supplied enough towels for the entire stay.
