We enjoyed staying in a historic building that reflected the history of Apalachicola.
Everything was walkable and we enjoyed starting and ending the day on the wonderful 2nd floor balcony porch so common in the area.

Great location to explore Apalach and surrounding area.

Quaint and clean although a bit smaller than I pictured. Great location with hood access to the town. Of the main road so cery quiet and private. I will go back.

Beautiful historic building walking distance to everything in Apalachicola. Highly recommend.

The only 2 things I did not like was the smell ( very old) but hey what should I have expected! It is old! Lol But the air, now that was awful. Woke up to the room at 76 where I usually sleep at 68 at night! It was hot!

This was a nice little room. Very clean. Enjoyed the coziness and being able to control your own AC. Had a nice little floor fan along with the ceiling fan. Nice cold in the room like we like it. Convenient to everything in Apalachicola. Had no Wifi at the beginning of the stay. Called the company and had it working in the matter of minutes. Great customer service. We loved it here.

Second time staying at the Bowery Inn. Stayed in the same room as last time. Everything much the same as last time. Quiet and in a great location close to everything downtown. I walked most every place I went. My go-to in Apalachicola.Love the balcony porch too.

My boyfriend and I just wanted to get away for the weekend. It was perfect. Not too far from home but far enough to enjoy. Visited the shops and had some local food. Everything was great and fun. This place was clean and cozy.

We always enjoy staying here!

This little inn was convenient, reasonably priced, and met our expectations exactly as advertised. They did caution it's not ADA compliant. My wife had a tough time with the stairs so older travelers "beware".

We loved staying at the Bowery Inn. So close to our favorite Apalachicola places. We loved coffee and drinks on the porch. The bed was quite comfy. We highly recommend!

I would never recommend the Bowery to anyone!!

The "rooms & beds details" list 1 king and 1 twin. It is actually 1 queen. I called customer service and it took all day for someone to return my call. The number was also incorrect on the check in information. I had to look up the # for the Bowery.
The shared deck and hallway create a lot of noise in your room whenever anyone is on them. You will have people sitting right outside your window on the deck and can hear their conversations. Same with the hallway.
The location is great for walking the town and the room was clean, however, I would not stay there again.

The property is in within walking distance of about everything in Apalachicola. Rooms are small but tidy. Comfortable beds. Very good linens and towels. Not a lot room to store things so plan on living out of your suitcase. Nice kitchen area, great wrap around porch. Easy in and out. Will book again for our next stay.

Excellent place too spend the weekend. Clean cool and quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

The Inn was beautiful and well renovated. It has its old world charm and is convenient to the whole town. Peaceful view of the Bay from the deck. We truly enjoyed our trip to this amazing little town. We will be back.

All was good until we went to get in room. Code for room door would not work, called the number for help and after 20 minutes called back, song and dance and they had to call for door reset and finally got back to me, total of 40 minutes later got into our room. With a no host operator this is really not acceptable for a delay of this type because door code was not set to work.
Room was small but very nice, bed and linens very nice, shower was fine. There are stairs as stated but hard to carry up suitcases if not totally middle aged, just saying. Not for over 70 I think. Good location, great balcony, recommended for everyone else but us.

Roper Retreat is a perfect getaway place for a couple or a single traveler. The Bowery Inn is immaculate, and the wrap around porch , overlooking the river is wonderful. So peaceful!!

Great contactless check in, nice communal kitchen, quaint, Communal laundry, close to but quiet part of town. Drawback: thin walls.

Reviewer Comments:
The room we rented was nice and large. A digital keypad is used to get into the building and into the romm. It is also used to lock. This worked it always required several attempts to get the keypad to light-up. It was a bit of a pain - otherwise it was nice.

Quietly and Sweet
Adorable cute inn, I would truly like if you could order room service or ask for room service and also would like if a microwave could be put in the room as well I do understand other neatness in the tightness and don't want any bugs in your room truly loved it and enjoyed it
