A few girlfriends and I booked this house for a weekend getaway. We were lucky to have fantastic weather and spent the weekend kayaking, collecting oysters, visiting Lake Cushman, local hikes and Hama Hama. Overall it was a great location to stay to explore the area.
We did have a few minor issues. Kitchen supplies were VERY worn (nonstick was peeling off of the only baking sheet, knives dull, there was a deep fryer in the cabinet that was covered in grease). When we turned on the mini split in the living room upon arrival it blew the circuit, and we had a hard time finding the reset as it's across the room above the stove. We also had an issue with the electronic lock on the front door. We got in easily when we first arrived, but after that it kept locking us out and becoming unresponsive. It would be nice if the handbook had more information about the house as well as things to do in the area.
Overall good value for our group, and the location can't be beat! The host was very responsive and friendly. We had a fantastic time.

It was a great 4-day stop on our road trip. The views were amazing and the place comfortably housed 8 of us. We especially loved kayaking and seeing wildlife from the balconies. We 100% recommend.

Very nice property. Lovely view, just steps from the beach and a pleasant cove. Upscale appliances and charming fireplaces. Enough space and activities for the kids but leave them at home and enjoy the views and the solitude yourself! This is a top end property. If it does not have what you need, you should have stayed in the city. Enjoy!

I spent a weekend here with a few family members. We chose the property based off the beautiful photos, and it did not dissapoint! The home was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with, and the views were amazing! It was easy to find as it's just off the highway, and even so there was no traffic noise. It was very peaceful. The communal space is nice and cozy, and there is plenty of other space to relax in if you need a little me-time. Hope to return someday!

My wife and I stayed here for an extended weekend (Th-Sun) n early November and the stay could not have been sweeter. The house was easy to find, easy parking and check-in was a breeze. Simone sent very clear communications before and after the stay, and was very attentive during. The kitchen is really well stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils and basics (sugar, flour, spices etc) and was really well laid out. The open layouts and fantastic views from every window made it enticing on the nice days to get out there, and really cozy when it was raining. As a whole the place was clean and well organized, but the real star is the location. Tons of close hikes, waterfalls, state and national park/forestland, and some great towns and restaurants. What a gem! We love the Hood Canal and this was just a perfect landing place coming in from out of state. Will return!

We loved this property. I wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful home, gorgeous peaceful views. Separate balconies for people to spread out and enjoy. We used the kayaks every day. The rocky beach at low tide was amazing! There is not a great grocery store close by so plan for that.

The property was exactly as advertised. Views were breathtaking. Emaculant thoughout. Well stocked kitchen. Furniture like new. Comfortable beds. Peaceful in everyway. Eagles and oysters abound. Harbor porpoise and sea outers pass by. Excellent location for visiting Olympic National Park and very near by state parks. It definitely exceeded our expectations....just magnificent!

My family of four (my husband, myself, 23 yo daughter and 20 yo son) spent a wonderful week at this beautiful location. The house was spotless and comfortable. The view was perfect. We enjoyed the kayaks and exploring the shoreline at low tide for sea stars, fish under rocks and crabs. Although remote, it was a good base for us to explore the area. We made it to Mt Rainier, Lake Crescent. Rialto Beach and a whale watching tour out of Port Townsend. The local general store has a great selection of necessities but we also needed to visit a grocery store in Olympia. You may want to bring a sleep mask if visiting in the summer. We were surprised by the long hours of daylight in the Pacific NW. We had such a good trip and we hope to stay at this location again someday!

We loved the kayaks. The red rock crabs we caught out in the canal were delicious . It was very relaxing to sit out on the deck in the evening with the fire table. We also appreciated the wood fire stove on the main level.

There is no ac not even in the living room. There was a bowl broken already and when we checked out they charged us for it. Also they charged 100 extra for cleaning fee. All unexpected extra charges. The blanket had stained on them. The room wasn’t cleaned properly.

A perfect place to gather family
We were stunned by the beauty of this area, the private beach, calm waters, and spotless home made this such a fun area to gather! Great for kids that can swim, paddling kayaks and paddleboards, loved the downstairs lounge for the teenagers to hang out! We would definitely stay here again, and will always treasure the memory of this vacation!

Amazing views and private location!
My family loved our stay here! The views were better than our already high hopes, and the house was perfect with plenty of room for our family of six (including 3 older teens). We enjoyed kayaking right from the property, and taking in the lovely and private atmosphere of Hood Canal. We even saw a bald eagle and a couple of others from the balcony and kayaks! They had a great grill and porch fire pit that served well for s'mores. And, we shucked our own oysters from the beach! And, the host was very helpful and communicative. A fantastic few days, wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and the property was just perfect. The views were just stunning. The home is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very quiet. We loved the fireplace in the living room and master bedroom. Very romantic. We will come again.

Snow Days on Hood Canal
We have been regular visitors to Hood Canal since my child hood in the 80's and have fished, crabbed, and dug clams over the years, but this visit was to find some quiet family time after the chaos of the Christmas holiday. We found exactly what we were looking for in this beautiful water front home. Nearly every square foot has a beautiful view of Hood Canal and all of the marine life that calls it home. We saw some harbor porpoises slicing through the calm morning waters during sunrise, seals were regularly fishing out front, and many species of birds.
We had the added rare pleasure of seeing Hood Canal under a blanket of fresh snow.
Simone was a pleasure to work with and we can't say enough about how invested they were in ensuring that we enjoy our stay.
While here, you MUST make the quick drive to Hama Hama Oysters. They were very friendly and have excellent oysters to grab and go, or enjoy around the fire pits.

Gorgeous location, comfortable home!
Staying at the Waterfront Getaway was just perfect. The host was communicative, the property clean, the beautiful/functional kitchen was well-stocked. There is an excellent living space downstairs for chilling/gaming. But the best thing by far, the view from every room (and outside). Even in the gray of a Washington November the view was breathtaking.

Perfect weekend Getaway
Had such a wonderful time here. There were million dollar views from just about every room in the house. While the weather was your typical PNW rainy in the fall, the home was extremely warm and cozy. Sitting in front of the wood burning fire from the Morso stove and sipping wine from the bottle the host provided for us made such a wonderful night in. The small cove street was peaceful and could hardly notice any of the neighbors. Even had a few oysters from the private beach in front. Recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway from the city with sublime ocean views. Communication with Simone was excellent and the place was immaculately clean. Will definitely be coming back in the summer when the weather is better so we can make use of the kayaks on the beach.

This house is in an ideal location for peace and tranquility. Nicely appointed furnishings and amenities, this waterfront location is ideal for sitting out on the balcony for a sunrise morning coffee or a sunset wine and charcuterie platter. Spacious kitchen for meal prep and indoor dining, with a larger family seating table in the ground floor media room. Recommend you do your grocery shopping in Hoodsport before you arrive at the home, as there are only local and small markets for necessities; and, that worked just fine for us. Wonderful to have washer/dryer with host provided amenities, and a huge plus. We were able to connect laptop and phones to internet, but weather can have a minor impact to connectivity. Never mind as that just gives your more together time. Overall lovely property and we enjoyed our time there to celebrate our anniversary.
