Had a great time. House was clean and ready when we got there. Little walk to the beach and close to anything we needed.

Nice view of ocean out the windows , beds were comfortable ,a/c worked great

An older home, but nice. Little too far out for our expectations.

Right next to the beach with a beautiful walk over the dunes to get to the beach.

I knew renting a Vacasa house came with the risk that it would be kind of sloppy compared to a privately rented and cleaned home. But wow. Like other reviewers said, the code they gave didn’t work when we arrived. Nor did the new one they gave me on the general help line. It took someone from the local office calling back to give me a code that actually worked. Ironically, one of the back doors was unlocked so we were able to get in in the meantime. Anyway, here are some pros and cons of the whole experience:
Pros:
-So grimy that we left it cleaner than we found it which was actually less stressful with three 4-5year olds haha!
-quiet neighborhood, amazing location, can’t stress this enough.Long hilly dune walk to the water like other commenters have noted, but whatever. Stunning. Close to hatteras and okracoke, great seafood shop across the street, restaurants nearby, closeby grocery store…
-well stocked kitchen, like TONS of dishes. Made traveling with three families easy
CONS
-found a lighter and candy wrappers on the floor in one bedroom
-bed had an actual dead insect in it, thankfully not a bedbug. Bug poop on windowsill
-one of the kid bunkbeds was missing a support board and it was broken in half and thrown under the bed, along with other bits of trash
-rusted bathroom vents, chipping paint everywhere
-dry rotted board with rusty nails sticking up on path to outdoor shower
-blood stains on shower curtain next to toilet

Plenty of room for all of our guests. The house was dingy, dirty and musty. There were termites in one room, the air conditioner couldn’t keep up, dirty bathrooms….spend your money someplace else. Kinakeet Dunes…no thanks

I LOVED the location! As described in another comment, the hike to the beach is challenging for anyone with physical limitations. However, two houses down, there is a public beach access. I described the house as imperfect because there are some stains on the sofa, rust in places, and imperfections but I didn’t mind those. If you mind imperfections, this is not the home for you. I would recommend that the property owner install a NEW keypad as I was locked out for an hour when the keypad didn’t work with our code or a new code, given to me over the phone. Then, the master code that the maintenance tech, who came to the property, used also did not work. It wouldn’t have bothered me as much if a property owner, who came to check on me, didn’t tell me that all renters have problems with the keypad. However, I am being reimbursed for the hour I was without access to the property, and I appreciate that.
As far as supplies, there are plenty of plates, bowls, flatware, and items for cooking. There is even a crock pot. There is no beach gear or beach towels. Also, you will receive one roll of paper towels and two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. I only note that in case you want to have those items on arrival. That may be in the listing?
I liked that there is a bedroom upstairs with a bath on the same level level as the kitchen and family room. There are four bedrooms downstairs with two bathrooms. There are no en suites in the home.
Overall, I’d stay there again.

Amazing beach, awesome dunes, close to Wright Brothers and Roanoke aquarium; great rental!

Easy in and out. Property was very liveable. Due to weather we didn't explore much so it was nice to have the view and the sounds. I just wish there were screens on doors and windows so we could have enjoyed the fresh air.

The house was just right for our family and the hot tub was especially nice. The ocean view was perfect and we enjoyed the beach and even saw a whale and dolphins.
4.3
The home was comfortable but needs TLC, better stocked kitchen for cooking and the cleaning was very poor. We had to reclean the house ourselves, including dishes and utensils. We reached out to Vacasa about the cleanliness, running toilet, broken fan, leak in ceiling but never hear from anyone except their customer service line who said - sorry for the inconvenience - we'll have someone call you. Which did not occur.
We'll be back next year but will not choose this location again.

I was a nice home in a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and well laid out. Plenty of bathrooms and perfectly located near eateries and shopping. If the hurricane had not cut our time short, we would have been overjoyed. Definitely a keeper.

The location is superb and the house was perfect for our group of 8 - offering excellent communal areas and still privacy as necessary. We loved the balcony and jacuzzi!
4.3
The house was great for three families to share and the description accurately details the property amenities. The pool was nice and only a short drive down the main road. We were allowed to check-in early but were notified the day of when it was available.
The dunes were much steeper than the pictures looked and the sand is very loose. This causes the trip to the beach to more strenuous. I would not recommend the trip for families with very little children due to the amount of additional items to haul to the beach. Older adults or less physically fit individuals could struggle too.

The house was newly renovated and perfect for two families of 4…direct access to beach is wonderful without roads in between is huge. Just an important fyi the dunes between the house and beach are quite hilly but didn’t bother us or our young kids too much though it was longer and more hilly walk then I expected…still overall amazing stay

The policy stated no early check ins, so I left later than normal. Then I get an email at 3:30 saying I could check in early. Would have saved me hours in traffic if I had been told this.

Was a bit of a struggle to get in touch with someone to ask about the check in process since the check in time was changed from 4:00 to 6:00, we were able to get in at 4:00 as it turns out but it was overall very confusing. Aside from that though it was a great location, short walk to the beach on a private path, great deck and plenty of space for our group

Check-in process was easy and the house was very clean when we arrived (brand new towels and everything!). Short walk over the sand dunes to the beach was perfect to access swimming, surfing, and beach combing while being protected from the steady ocean wind. We were disappointed that 2 days before our arrival we were told the hot tub was out of order; that had been a "must have" amenity for us. Otherwise, we loved it here!
