Nestled on 5 acres of Southern Maine farmland, Wild Rose Farm is a spacious farmhouse just minutes from Dock Square and local beaches. This renovated home seamlessly incorporates historical elegance with modern New England sophistication. Highlights include a large patio featuring lovely stonework that is well-suited for entertaining. Enjoy afternoons grilling outdoors, dining alfresco, or simply wandering the postcard-worthy grounds. Lounge by the gas firepit with a crisp drink. As evening falls, gather around the wood-burning firepit to make s’mores and share stories. Venture a bit farther to climb the rocks and look out across the water from Blowing Cave Park. Enjoy outdoor activities, including hiking and horseback riding.

The stylish living area exemplifies Danish hygge. Adorned with local artwork, this comfortable space is both inviting and unique. Stretch out on the sectional while watching movies on the Frame TV. The gas fireplace creates a cozy ambience. The adjacent playroom doubles as a gathering space with its TV or a bedroom with a full Murphy bed and en suite bathroom. The fabulous chef’s kitchen has ample counter space and a full suite of high-end stainless steel appliances - including a French-door fridge and six-burner gas cooktop. Choose a beverage from the wine fridge and perch at the center island.

The primary suite has a TV and an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. One of the guest bedrooms offers a desk.

Complimentary WiFi, a washer/dryer, central air-conditioning, a Pack ‘n Play, and beach gear, such as chairs, toys, and an umbrella, are provided.

This was our first of three VRBOs up the Maine coast, and it set a standard that the others couldn’t quite match. It’s the small touches that make this so nice a place to stay. The kitchen is spacious and thoughtfully stocked with staples, equipment, and tableware that made it a joy to use. The sound system is another small touch that made a big difference for us. It all resulted in a stay with more time for us to enjoy, and little ways to amp up the enjoyment.

Overall, I highly recommend the house. It was newly remodeled, clean, and a great location. There was a wonderful swingset for my 1.5 year old and push car toys, which she loved. There was a high chair and a crib (so excellent spot if you have a little one). The only NEGATIVE was the main TV did not work and there was no hair dryer like stated. We contacted Vacasa (management) and they pretended to send someone over to look at the TV, but that never happened. Nor did they help with the promised hairdryer so we had to go out and purchase one. Annoying, but once those are fixed... I recommend.

Very nice house overall. Love the charm of an old house that has been modernized. Location is very convenient. The outdoor areas are nicely done.

This house is gorgeous and spacious, with a lovely outdoor area. The play structure and hammock were particularly fun for our kids. The kitchen is huge, with plenty of space to gather. Beds upstairs were comfortable with lots of storage. About an 30 minute walk to town. Unfortunately we did have quite a few minor issues, which all together created a lot of frustration. Neither the TV or fireplace worked. Despite the listing photos, there was not a toddler bed in the kids bedroom, but rather two twin beds. Also no beach parking passes. The main floor “bedroom” isn’t really a bedroom, with a murphy bed and basically no storage or room to walk around the folded down bed. There was minimal toilet paper and no tissues. Many of the kitchen appliances were so “high tech” that they were difficult to operate. The fire alarm also went off inexplicably for 30 seconds at 6am on our last day. The management by vacasa was quick to respond but entirely useless in fixing any of the issues.

We had a wonderful stay at Wild Rose Farm! We enjoyed nice walks into town, morning coffee and evenings on the beautiful private patio, strolls along the lovely well-kept property, and restful sleep in the comfy beds with good linens. The kitchen is very well equipped if you want to cook. Mostly we appreciated the owner’s personal touches and their generosity in sharing their special vacation home. Awesome location—a bit removed from the business of town but within a comfortable walking distance.

I was so happy to be able to take my children (all grown adults) on this quick getaway to Maine. The house was perfect and the owners have a keen eye to restoration that honors a homes past and provides all the modern amenities. It was a perfect place to stay - both inside and outside was spectacular! Highly recommend!
