This is a lovely home that has been furnished and outfitted to give families like ours a great Maine vacation experience. Hydrangea House is big, open and airy home with plenty of room to gather or spread out. The kids love the secret room and we all love the Cape Porpoise locale. The hosts are kind and accommodating. This was was our second stay and we hope to be back next year b

We got together as a family to reconnect with Goose Rocks Beach, we vacationed there so many years ago and wanted to return and show the grandchildren where their dads use to go as kids, it was magical!

The house is super clean and has a fully stocked kitchen. Beds are very comfortable and everything works. Wifi let all 9 of us do whatever we wanted. Location let us go everywhere we wanted in 10 to 15 minutes. Great lobster restaurant right across the street There is a deli and local grocery store that is a 3 minute walk away. Had an electric lock telling me it needed a battery. I let Kevin know and it was fixed within an hour. This really is a great place for a large family. We all enjoyed filling up the bird feeders and watch the birds and squirrels compete for the mix. I would highly recommend Hydragea House.

House was beautiful, clean and equipped with everything we needed plus things we didn’t know we needed (like a steamed milk maker!) House was a perfect size for five couples and a bunch of teens!

The Hydrangea House was a fantastic base for my family gathering. Beautiful house with a nice kitchen, a screened sunroom, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. But it's better than that. Kevin was very responsive and accommodating. The house was very well stocked. There was a cornhole setup complete with painted lobsters on the faces to help you aim. We were happy to find an extensive set of beach toys, a cooler and a sand cart in the spacious garage. Kevin thought of everything.
But wait, there's more. The house is close to a few very nice, small neighborhood markets, there's a popular restaurant across the street and a fish market a few blocks away. Also within easy walking distance is a lovely rocky point where you can watch the boats sail by and admire the beautiful Maine coastline.
No doubt this house was perfect for our large family gathering (13 people total). Thank you Kevin for helping us enjoy a terrific vacation.

We had a fantastic stay in this property. Truely an amazing home. Beautifully decorated with tons of space. We were a family of 8 (Mom, Dad and 3 Adult "kids" with spouces). We had more than enough room and excellent kitchen facilitaties. The host was very responsive to all our questions. I can strongly recommend this home for any large group wanting to discover this area of the Maine coast. We also had our dog, as this is a pet friendly property.

We had 11 people, 6 adults, 4 kids ( aged 2.5 - 13) and an infant. Hydrangea house was stocked to provide something for everyone! Tubby time in the BIG deep tub was a favorite after the beach. Location is gorgeous, and close to many different activities.
Hydrangea House is the perfect spot to stay with a large group to create wonderful memories. Thank you!

Our second stay at Hydrangea House was as satisfying as our first. The VRBO listing is admirably detailed and accurate, but even it does not fully capture the wonderful feeling of the house and the genius of the layout. The open concept of the ground floor, combined with the high ceilings and the second floor gallery, creates a sense both of spaciousness and connectedness that is very relaxing, and is enhanced by the quality and cleanliness of the furnishings. Each of the bedrooms is lovely, and together with the reading/game nooks on both levels there is ample opportunity both to gather and for privacy. And I have never seen a rental with such a great set-up for children, with the two connecting rooms that provide multiple beds- even including two queens who want to sleep near their kids- as well as games, without being crowded. Owner Kevin is a joy to deal with, and Cape Porpoise is a great setting. 5 stars all the way!

Home is beautiful and communication with Kevin was very easy who was so welcoming and helpful. We loved the screened in porch area for relaxing and living space was perfect for visiting with family. We loved the Cape Porpoise area. Very laid back and close to great seafood options to go out or bring in and beach days at Goose Rocks Beach. Definitely a place we would love to stay again!

Our second week-long family vacation in this beautiful house. Can’t say enough good things about Kevin as a host (very communicative and responsive), the house (just beautiful, and the screened porch is a perfect spot for relaxing on a hot or rainy day, and the adjacent bird feeders are very entertaining if you keep them filled), and the Cape Porpoise neighborhood. Having Cape Porpoise Kitchen and Bradbury’s just a quick walk away is incredibly convenient. We also discovered nearby Three Seas Seafood Market this year, and made several trips for lobster rolls, lobster meat, and blueberry pie, and would be great for fresh fish to grill as well. Loved the morning walks down the two nearby peninsulas. It’s the perfect house for our 10 adults and one child.

The property was wonderful. There was plenty of room and the bedrooms had king size beds for adults and a bunk room for the children. I would describe the property as professionally decorated. There was much thoughtfulness in all the small items in daily life such as tableware, white noise machines, outlets for charging phones, etc. I would highly recommend this as a vacation rental for a large family group.

We stayed at Hydrangea House for a weekend with family members of all ages for a birthday event. The house is perfect for a medium size group (small children, adults, grandparents).
Every bedroom had unique features and was well sized.
The kitchen, dining room, living room area are massive with places for people to spread out.
Games, TVs, the game room all great for getting together or relaxing in your own area.
The outdoor deck and covered porch were great additional areas to congregate.
The house was close to a ton of activities (beach, shops, hiking, walking).
Owner was super responsive to any questions and checking in was easy. Would highly recommend!

The house and property are exactly as described. It’s a very cute comfortable house in a very good location. Easy off of I 40. And it’s some of the cute little touches that matter, and they were there. Will definitely stay again.

This Thanksgiving, our family based out of Chicago and Florida, decided to travel to the east coast to be together with our Boston family who needed to stay close to home because of the expected arrival of a new baby in December. Hydrangea House met all of our needs for space plus the inclusion of a family pet. The kitchen was well stocked for us to prepare a holiday dinner. It was also very helpful that the Cape Porpoise Kitchen was across the street to help with prepared sides and dessert. Kevin, our host, was very helpful with advice on grocery stores, dining options, beaches and parks. We loved our holiday and would definitely recommend a stay at this awesome home.

We enjoyed staying at this amazing home in Kennebunkport for our daughter’s wedding. It is absolutely beautifully designed, and had everything we could need or want during our stay! The space and accommodations were perfect for our family. The owner was attentive, helpful and thoughtful quickly responding to any questions I had. We vacation every year in NC on the beach and the kids kept saying they wished they had this house there! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful home with us!

Everything was perfect! The house, the neighborhood, the sites! We enjoyed everything!

This gorgeous, immaculate property was a joy to stay in. We had more than enough room for our party of eight—in fact, we joked, we could have invited a whole other family to stay with us. The kids especially enjoyed the “secret room,” which basically became their clubhouse during the week. Cape Porpoise is quiet and delightful. A helpful note for future visitors: to operate the blinds in the bedrooms, just push them up or pull them down. It’s deceptively simple, but took us a while to figure out.
