We picked Elmwood Village for our Buffalo vacation. The area is truly one of the best. The beautiful house was along a quiet tree lined street, but right around the corner was Elmwood Ave with lots of shops, a bookstore, bank, restaurants, bars, and Lexington Coop, a convenient walk for groceries. A short drive up the other end of Elmwood will take you to Wegmans and a great liquor store. Honestly this store was probably the best supermarket I've been to for options for prepared foods to take out and very reasonably priced. On the way you'll go by the AKG Art Museum, The Burchfield Museum, Buffalo State University Campus, Hoyt Lake, Delaware Park, and Forest Lawn Cemetery. These are less than a one mile walk from the apartment. Now for the apartment.....it's an older house that has been restored with all the charm of huge windows, tall ceilings, and great woodwork. Note that there are 5 steps to the front door and then another two short sets of stairs to get to the second floor apt. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and clean, The kitchen is modern and conveniently stocked for cooking and has a Keurig Combo coffee maker to use with single cup pods or the option to brew a whole pot.
We highly recommend the Breezy Burrito, Coles, The Terrace at Delaware Park for Brunch and The Place restaurants....all walkable!! Safe free parking near the house was easy to get on the street. Nick was great to communicate with and Tv options were top notch! Thanks

This vintage property was perfect for us. Loved the location, parking, security and cleanliness. For 2 octogenarians and their daughter it was great. We’ll be back.

The house was built in 1900 and while some aspects have been updated, many are not, while mostly minor or conviencence over necessity there are very few outlets especially 3 prong, the floors and doors are very creaky and all of the lights are a little quirky. The neighborhood was amazing even in december the green belt was beautiful and the neighborhood has several walkable restaurants, bars, Starbucks and even a cute dessert shop. We stayed on the second floor unit and had no issues.

I was visiting family for Thanksgiving and booked this place last minute. It was perfect for the occasion. It was so close to everything and had everything I needed for my stay.

Although there was some confusion concerning which unit we would occupy for the stay it all worked out. The area the house is in is located near all the places we wanted to visit for the abbreviated stay. The next time we visit Buffalo this place will be the first choice. I appreciate the overall way the listing is presented (it is not required to first pick what type of rental you want which is confusing).

A great spot from which to stage a visit to Buffalo. A lot of nice quick eats, bars, and "long eats" (sit down places) plus a mid-street park with pop-up "farmers' market" type events on weekends. Surprisingly decent on-street parking and a safe vibe.

Well appointed, very attractive and comfortable flat in a great location. Walk just a short distance for food and drink. Very quiet. Highly recommend.

The place was clean and updated. The refurbishing of a home built in 1900 was well done. We did notice a musty smell as soon as we opened the door so we had to buy candles to mask the smell. The host was quick to respond and did provide a mid-stay cleaning with fresh towels.

We loved this charming and spacious apartment. It’s in a hip neighborhood, with easy walking access to shops, restaurants, and the farmers market. Would absolutely stay here again. The only downside was they didn’t leave enough towels for the four people booked, and we needed to ask for sheets for the foldout couch before we arrived, but we arrived late at night and didn’t know that. The extras are apparently available in the common back stairway, but we didn’t get an answer until it was time to checkout.
So stay here and enjoy the lovely space in a great neighborhood, but tell them in advance if you need the sheets and how many towels, and check in the back stairway if anything is needed.

Very comfortable place. Great location. Slight miscommunication with check in but everything else was great. Would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Nick

Well, first I would just like to say the property is perfect! Cute with plenty of room and the location could not be better. But I would like to say the owner was wonderful! Of course we arrived the night before the blizzard. But the house stayed cozy warm, everything worked and we were able to watch out the living room window the amazing snowfall. Now most things did close, actually almost everything did except two bars, the liquor store and a small convenient store. So we had everything we needed for Christmas :-) The owner also helped us with the extension of our stay! He was terrific! Highly recommend this location and home to visit. Thank you!!

Good stay…
This is a new property. New furniture and kitchen. Owner is very responsive. Replies within minutes. Great to interact with. Place is cozy … still has some upgrades needed… but a great stay for my family and I. Close to mall, grocery stores and much more.
