Our apartment is situated in the historic city center of Leiden ( 3 minutes cycling to Breestraat or 4 minutes cycling to Haarlemmerstraat - main shopping streets). French bakery, traditional fish shop & flowers are just around the corner. There are many student houses around, so the atmosphere is nice. The apartment is situated on the first floor of house-monument. There is no garden, but we have a very beautiful park Plantsoen in front- so it is nice for running, reading book or having a picnic.

The supermarket is 20 meters away from the house. 100 meters in front, there is a beautiful park - Plantsoen - with a track to run, benches for a picnic, a small Aviary (bird zoo), and a playground for kids. For snacks or takeaway dinner, there is a very nice fish shop at block corner. If you want to try Dutch traditional food ask for Kibbeling and, if you are adventurous, ask for herring. For fresh bread, there is a french bakery behind the house. You are in the historic city center, so there are dozen of restaurants, bars, and snack bars around.

We had our family of 4 (parents and 2 kids, 18 & 21).
The apartment was VERY CLEAN and modern. We stayed Dec 31- Jan 5 and while it was cold and rainy our entire stay, the apartment was always warm!
The movie projector was used nightly as we all watched Disney + or Netflix.
The “wet” bathroom was a fun new experience for all of us.
The main bedroom was very spacious and well appointed. The 2nd bedroom with the LARGE bunkbed (I think it was a double on top) and another Double underneath was perfect. The kids loved it.
Having a washer and dryer and dishwasher was wonderful to have access to. The living room couch was so comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed.
The kids LOVED the ascetic of the apartment with lots of accent lights and live plants. The house has a lot of very cool smart features that we all enjoyed.
The location was perfect. We could easily walk all over Leiden. There is a market 2 doors down that we utilized for snacks and fruits. We did rent a car and had no problem finding free parking very close to the apartment.
If we ever travel back to Leiden we will want to stay here for sure!

Leiden was our favorite place!
We were a group my sons (18 and 21), my in-laws (70s), and my husband and me. We absolutely loved Leiden and this house was in the most convenient and lovely spot.
The house is well appointed and has everything one needs. It is next to a grocery store and just minutes by walking to canals, great restaurants, and shopping.
Leiden is an incredibly clean and friendly college town and I have since been recommending to all of my friends to visit. My sons had a great time walking late at night, and I never felt that they were unsafe in any way.
The only thing to note is that there is just one bathroom and only two bedrooms, but we managed just fine. The owner was just fabulous. We will definitely recommend this apartment and will go back!
