Great home for extended family vacation! Loved the family-style tables and large living room.

Our family loves this house, easy walk to beach and lots of space. It was clean. It could use some updates in kitchen and bathrooms but overall great home.

We had a week long stay for a family group plus 2 year old.
Pros: vicinity to beach (1.5 block walk), size of home (large and spacious), master bed was comfy
Cons: Home photos make it appear much nicer than it is, everything needs updating from bathrooms to kitchen/furniture, cluttered and old kitchen items, mattress on first floor squeaks, water doesn’t actually get hot (more like warm on second floor), Vacasa text/online customer support awful. Do yourself a favor and call the local IOP office and speak to a real human. Be warned that Vacasa gives a “starter” package for dishwasher pods, laundry pods and soaps/shampoo conditioner. Ex 2 pods for 7 day stay for 8 people. No where is this transparent in listing rules - I’ve asked them to add this to the listing so please bring your extra stuff from home unless you want to buy all these essential items. Wasn’t the safest stay with a young toddler so bring baby gate/proofing things if you have a young child. Felt like we booked a luxury home based on photos and price but instead got a chintzy vibe.

Sullivan's is a gorgeous place and this was in a premium location at the end of the beach. We loved the laid-back vibe and also the roominess of the house. It was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans and all the things you need to make your life easy. I would definitely recommend it.

The house was clean and comfortable, and just a few doors down from a place formerly owned by a family member. We were in town for a family wedding, and it was a lovely weekend at the beach I've been going to for 50 years! It's a short walk to the beach through maritime forest. The house was comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed the deck for some November sunshine and star gazing!

This was our first time in the Charleston area for a couples/friends meet up. We elected to stay on Sullivans Island so we could take in the beach, downtown Charleston, Fort Sumter, Yorktown, and Fort Moultrie. The home was very clean when we arrived right at check in time. The location was perfect to drive to all these locations and a short walk to the beach. Perfect location for quite relaxing mornings and nights. Enjoyed sitting on the screened in front porch talking and listening to the waves of the ocean. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Would recommend .

This house was in a great neighborhood and close to the very private beach—about a 5 minute walk. No ocean view, but you can hear the ocean from the porch. Take bug spray (we stayed in October). Home has lots of extra blankets, towels, games, and beach gear. Close to many great, casual restaurants Great stay overall!!

We enjoyed the porches, large rooms and location relative to 2 other homes our Family rented.

Pros: The house was nice, loved the screened in front porch, short walk to beach and restaurants. Lovely neighborhood.
Cons: The kitchen is infested with roaches. When we first arrived we did not see any. The next morning, they were coming out of the toaster and coffee pot. Crawling all over the kitchen floor. We called and texted the rental company. They stated that the staff was working on getting the issue resolved. It never was the entire week we were there. Disappointing to spend that amount of money to deal with roaches. Just pray we didn't bring any home.

We had a wonderful stay on Sullivans Island. Great proximity to the beach. The house was comfortable and well equipped. The outside space was a little run down with tired seating.

We had a terrible stay here. Everything is old, dirty, and musty. I wish I could give zero stars. Linens smell bad, beds are extremely old and mattresses uncomfortable. Bugs in every corner, dust mites. Appliances don’t work and the iron burnt a hole in a pair of expensive pants, don’t use the iron. Not enough utensils, bugs all around sink area. All the doors creak. The dishwasher came completely unattached from the wall. The showers had hair in them when we arrived. The house needs a lot of attention and should not be rented out to people in its current condition. Terrible stay, don’t waste your money. Management was responsive via text but didn’t send anyone to clean or address condition of home.

Island is nice. This property is dated, dirty and poorly maintained. It is in need of a major renovation. It is overpriced for the quality of house and contents.

Great location, house could use some updating. Nice yard.

The house is situated near the beach, although at present the beach is not accessible at high tide due to erosion. The house has a big kitchen with a table seating 6-8, and a dining room with a table for 8. The living room is more spacious than most cottages, and comfortably furnished. While the kitchen and bathrooms have not been updated in the past 20-30 years, they are perfectly adequate. Furniture throughout shows many updates, and the beach-themed artwork is lovely. Beds are very comfortable. The location is great - we walked a mile into the commercial area for dinners, and enjyed the walks as much as the food! Vacasa was very responsive to any needs we raised.

Sweet house, very comfortable and clean.

One row back from the beach, the house also has a great front yard that is perfect for kids. The house is very charming and the management was very diligent and responsive. We would definitely rent the house again!

We have stayed at this property many times in previous years (when it was managed thru Island Realty). It's perfect for us. However we are still getting emails from THREE firms, VRBO, Vacasa and Turnkey. Very confusing and inefficient. This is the only review I am going to submit. I would like to deal with one firm when booking. Call me if you'd like to chat.

Family Trip
The house location was great! Close to the beach we could hear the waves from the front porch. 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston. Very quiet neighborhood. Plenty of space for two 16 years old, two ten-year olds and parents. House was very clean but could use some updates. Stove didn't work very well two burners didn't work at all. Overall wonderful vacation spot.

Comfortable SI house
This was our first time on Sullivan’s Island and we loved it! Very comfortable, nice house. Plenty of room to spread out, comfortable king bed, fabulous screened porch. While you can’t see the ocean, you can hear the waves and it’s a quick walk to a beach access. Nice, quiet residential area for walking and biking. The house was clean, although some pots and dishes were not. The first impression of the house - coming up some stairs underneath the house and into a hallway by the kitchen - is not great. But once you get past that, the house is very easy to love. It feels like it may be in the middle of updates/maintenance. The appliances look brand new as do the light fixtures, yet the kitchen and bathrooms are pretty dated, but completely functional. Smart TVs in the bedroom was a nice touch, but the living room TV was not as far as we could figure out. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at the house.
