Nice place for a few families to meet up together. Pro is water access -- so nice to swim everyday, however, senior citizens can't make it down to the water due to the nature of the path.
The home is sort of secluded -- not much to do unless you'd like to drive over half an hour. It wasn't an issue for us since we intended to stay put for the week.
We did have to buy extra paper towels, laundry soap, and toilet paper.
Very nice hot tub. Lots of space, being 3 stories!

Our family loved our stay at this home. The home was beautiful. We had plenty of space for our family. The walk to the water was pretty easy. The kids loved the air hockey and Pac-Man in the basement! Hot tub was a great addition! Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property. It was perfect for the 11 of us, six adults and five children. The kids loved the bunk bedroom and the game room which gave the adults plenty of space to enjoy our time together on a beautiful deck that overlooks The lake. The Blackstone was perfect which allowed us to cook dinners and breakfast! There were very few restaurants nearby so I'd highly suggest you bring as much food in as you can and be prepared to cook which we did and it was actually perfect. There's one restaurant that I would recommend and that's the redneck in Clarkson. They were very accommodating for the 11 of us and food was All homemade and very good and extremely reasonable! The drive in just take your time you do get use to it! You won't be disappointed staying here!

The house was beautiful, everything we needed was supplied. Master bed mattress was newer and very comfortable. The other beds could use an update. The beds were metal and wobbled. Just did not feel comfortable.

Beautiful property nestled in the hills of Kentucky. We rented for our family vacation (7 adults, 8 kids). Home was as described and communication was great! We enjoyed our time together as a family and spent some time visiting Kentucky Down Under for the cave and kangaroos, which we learned about through this rental.
Parking was a bit harrowing at times. Given the location, I'm not sure how that could be improved but better visibility turning into the driveway may help future guests navigate it.
I would definitely recommend having curtains or blinds on all the windows instead of just some, especially in the bedrooms. A bathroom emergency became a trickier situation when family enjoying the patios outside could easily, though unintentionally, see directly through the master bedroom and into the master bathroom. Quick thinking kept everyone's privacy intact but curtains or blinds would prevent any issues from the start.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and our time together as a family.

We had a great time. The listing is very accurate to how the house looks and what is provided. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the house, the kids loved the air hockey and Pac-Man and watching movies as well as their bunk beds. Another review was very accurate to explain the lake access, it is a gravel path (host shared with us the same thing) but the down side is the path just ends to some slightly wooded area that goes into the water. No real space to put down chairs or a blanket but you can get in the lake there, just not what I would have considered public access. The house had lots of natural light and I’m sure some people would prefer darker or more curtain options to sleep later. No issues with driving our van to get to the house but it is a single lane gravel road and following the host’s directions was helpful. Host was incredibly responsive and addressed quickly anything that came up. I enjoyed the blackstone grill and the hot tub was working great. Overall a really great stay.

We had a great stay at the cabin. With several different couples, the sleeping arrangements were fantastic. Each couple got a private bedroom and all the kids LOVED the bunk bed room.
Yes, the driveway was a bit scary at first, but we all made it multiple times with out 4 wheel drive. We did have to make a trip out for paper towels and toilet paper, but that wasn't a huge deal.
The only downside was that the hot tub was not in working condition. Communication was great, but it didn't get fixed until late Saturday, so we didn't have an opportunity to use it. The kids were bummed.
We would totally come again. The kitchen in the basement was a huge plus. The kids kept their snacks there and the adults took over the main kitchen. The air hockey table and PacMan game were used all weekend. The kids thought that was the coolest thing ever.

Great house, the scenery of the lake was awesome. House was very clean and had plenty of amenities. We came down with a family of 13 and there was plenty of room. A little tricky getting to the property. Overall a great stay, the owners were in constant communication. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is beautiful. We had plenty of space to spread out. The decks were fantastic and having a Blackstone grill was a great touch. The large capacity washer/dryer was top notch😊
However, the hot tub was not clean when we got there.
AC needs checked. The upper floor was freezing, the main floor hot and the basement even hotter.
Blackout curtains in the bedrooms would be awesome. When on vacation you don’t want to wake up with the sun.
Also, with no curtains on the doors to the balcony, you can be seen by all accessing the path. Curtains in the main living areas would certainly assist with heating and cooling.
A pantry would be nice too. When staying a week with that many people, where do you store your food?
Public access… we thought there would be a better way to get to the lake. The access is definitely not conducive to hauling kayaks or other boats. Nor to small children, the elderly or the physically challenged. No beach or area to sit and fish. When advertised as a public access point, you certainly expect those things.
Accessing the house and the driveway are a bit less than ideal. Hopefully there are plans to widen the road back to the houses as there are multiple points where it’s one lane only and no safe way to get over. Possibly extend the concrete from the drive all the way up to the access road.

Did not stay Listing was removed from Vrbo. Vrbo agent tried to call host twice and no answer. Finally received call from host 6 hours before checkin. A little late for plans and arrangements for traveling. Since then been told the listing is “hidden”. How is a person to stay somewhere that Vrbo says no longer available and the listing is now hidden. I am out $ and no consideration by the host. Avoid!!!

The house is new and nice and the rooms were good. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook for our big crew and kids. While we were there the path to the lake was marked off limits by the US Army Corp of Engineers, so there was no lake access although you can see the lake. Be aware the road to the property is curvy and a tricky drive, may not be possible for a two wheel drive car. It may still be under construction.

The furniture should be replaced. Leather on couch is peeling off. White cloth on Kitchen chairs are very stained and some are ripped. All dishes are plastic and very limited kitchen pans and utensils. Not one baking sheet. . Chair on deck by fire pit back is broke.

New neighborhood. New, beautiful
cabins under construction. The house was a little hard to locate. Address to be used should be Hunting Ground Road. Just like that to get on the right road and then the actual address of the house if not Google Maps will put you on another road, through private property.
The cabin is beautiful. Perfect colors, views, amenities and location. Only thing we would change is...
1) People have destroyed the dining room and living room set. We would do the exact same furniture, but apply a protective plastic so they can survive "special" guests.
2) Master room needs blinds in the area facing the balcony.
3) Tankless water heater is needed. A tank can take 4 to 5 people, but with 15, we were having to wait to take a shower.
Will definitely visit again in the near future, but during the summer.
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful property.
God bless,
Reinier

This was a lovely property with plenty of space for the family. The children enjoyed the game room on the lower level and outdoor hot tub. Would enjoy visiting again.

We stayed here for our yearly riding trip with 4 other families. The home is plenty big and has tons of things that fit our stay. Would have liked to have more pics of the outside, but we got the early enough and was able to get it so all the cars/trailers would fit!

Great space for 11. Outdoor decks, grill, hot tub and fire pits were so much fun. Having some flat area outback was really nice for games and the trails to docks were great for exploring.. Inside: 2 ovens made Turkey dinner with fixings so convenient.

The house was spacious, gorgeous and decorated beautifully! The lake is within eyesight and the trees were incredible this time of year! There was enough room for our party of 9 to spread out, cook and play games. And the deck was the most visited by my 93 year old mother-in-law so she could watch the wind blow in the fall trees while she knitted. However, aside from all the benefits I should mention if you have any mobility issues what so ever reconsider your stay here. The driveway was not easy to pull into or out of. Especially, with a trailer, and the driveway out back was too steep for her to walk down. We had wanted to take our canoe out however the steep gravel driveway was not safe to carry the canoe the lengthy walk down the hill and through the trees to the lake. That wasn’t make clear when we asked questions prior to arrival. Day of checkout, we had to detached the trailer to pull out of the driveway bc we couldn’t pull up the gravel driveway even with an SUV. We were told in the response to our question if we could bring a canoe that there was a boat rental nearby. But when we called they were closed for the season. Minor detail but worth noting, maybe the response should include times of year accessible. Also, as an owner of a rental myself, I would recommend not having white fabric furniture for a dining room set. It was pretty spotty and lots of stains on the seats. Other than that, my family was grateful for the rest and quality time spent together. We will definitely visit Nolin Lake again!

The house was gorgeous, the owners have great taste. We had one annoying issue, the front door alarm would go off randomly. I would also reccomend driving a truck or 4x4 to get to the house as roads are gravel with steep hills. We hope to come again!

Beautiful house. Hard driveway to park. No cornhole boards that were listed. We would have brought our own if we had known they weren’t there.

This home is wonderful and perfect for a group weekend getaway. The home was clean and well stocked. The location was great. And, communication from the owners was on point throughout the entire process.

This property was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The house is spacious inside and out. We really enjoyed sitting around the gas firepit in the evenings! The kitchen has everything you need and the outside grill was top notch. We brought out boat down for the lake and kept it at Ponderosa right around the cove. This place was a great weekend stay!

Overall the house was fantastic with a beautiful view and enough room for all of us to have our own space and ample room for the group to be together in the evening and play games and hang out. I would have given it 5 stars but there were a couple of issues that I feel need to be fully disclosed. Getting there is an undertaking especially if you are coming after dark. The road the the house is gravel (OK I can live with that) but getting in and out of the driveway was a treat. Fortunately we all had 4x4 vehicles or else I don't think we would have made it in and out of the driveway if we had a 4 door sedan. I feel this should have been disclosed.
Another knock to the star is that the check-in for the listing states 1PM but we got notification the day before that check-in was at 4PM. That needs to be aligned.
Last knock is the amenities in the kitchen - the property says it sleeps 15 and it most definitely can but there are not enough pots/pans, cookie sheet, etc to accommodate that number of people. All there was for a skillet was a regular size skillet and not cookie sheet. While not a deal breaker, it was a disappointment and should be aligned with the number of guests the house accommodates.
But overall the house is great and with a few simple disclosures and inclusion it is a must visit. It is very secluded and overlooks the lake which is phenomenal.
