This is a nice home if you want to visit in the cooler months. There is no air conditioning in this house. There are some fans, but it was unpleasant, warm and very humid in the house.

Thank you for a wonderful & quick getaway! My family of 6 fit beautifully in the home. We absolutely loved how spacious it was. I personally enjoyed the back porch as much as I possibly could. The trees, the animals, and the serene feeling of just sitting and enjoying everything around me.
The rooms were nice. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was a little small to cook in but we also are a very big family.
The two main complaints that we have is that the downstairs has a very musty/mildewy smell. Although the kids didn’t seem bothered with it, it really should be taken care of.
The biggest issue was no AC. We had brought fans because we knew it would be warm at the end of July, but we actually had to go to Walmart and buy more because we could not get the place to cool down enough during the day. We ended up with 6 fans running day and night to be able to stand being in the house. My suggestion is for the owners to get 3 window AC units, one for each level, to simply solve this, and make guests more comfortable in the summer.
If there was some sort of AC in the home, we would rebook tomorrow!

There wasn't any a/c. Must have missed this on the booking. Owners could improve their listing simply by putting in a/c for summer rentals. We purchased fans and the nights were not unbearable this past week.

The house met our needs. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. The lack of central air made me nervous, but with fans, it was ok. The cleanliness however was way below my standards. Thankfully the showers, sinks, and toilets seemed ok as did the beds. It worked for a couple of nights.

A very nice place to get away for a week or weekend.

But, the home is not being maintained very well. The staff did not have it clean for us. Mildew in basement, or some of lighting. Lock difficulty so had trouble entering home. I'm hoping Vacasa will give us credit back in some way. They seem very nice, not sure what happened with getting the place more thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival.

So cool to stay in an actual log cabin but with all of the comforts of a regular house.

A "real" cabin with a great deck in the perfect location. We will definitely come back.

The perfect family cabin to visit any time of year. Great location for long walks, hiking trails and easy distance to eateries and central location to drive to Asheville destinations or up the Blue Ridge Parkway!

If you enjoy staying in an old-fashioned log cabin with natural breezes providing cooling (no air-conditioning), then this is your place.

This is a cute property. However, we discovered mold in the living room, top floor bathroom, and basement. It was inescapable.

We've stayed at this cabin many summers, but wish things would be updated. (The decor is certainly 1970's with old furnishings and ceramic animals that are from "yesteryear". This summer the stay was very hot, especially with no a/c in the cabin. The yard was very unkempt upon arrival with tall, spindly grass. We will have to say goodbye to this cabin for something else next summer. :(

Cosy, well equipped in a quiet beautiful area. Love the place, recommend it!
