Lovely! If we could have opened the windows it would have been PERFECT!

Lovely cottage feel, beautiful surroundings

The bedrooms were very hot and we weren’t able to open the windows to cool them down in the evening so uncomfortabley hot. There was a fan but not effective in the weather we had.

A lovely 3 night stay, very convenient for a wedding party we attended in Narborough. Beryl was very helpful. a wedding

It was clean & comfortable. Lovely river walk from the door.

The lighting was very bright, even the small bedside lamps & no lamp to subdue the lighting in the lounge area.

It was an ideal base for us to explore Norwich and the surrounding area.

The location was a big bonus. The view from the windows was stunning, and we enjoyed walking to the bone Mill. There were plenty of fans because it was warm in the evenings.

Nothing. The planes from RAF Marham could be noisy but it wasn't an issue.

Superb

Good location, very welcoming owner who was on hand to let us in. Well equipped cottage and a quiet situation. Plenty of grounds which we were free to walk round and explore.

A really pleasant stay, centrally located to visit the beautiful beaches of North West Norfolk but also pleasant surroun

The cottage was in spacious grounds with lovely walks & a river running through. We absolutely loved it, as did our dog Daisy

Perfect setting for R & R with the family

the property suited our needs as a family of 8 with hiring 2 Barge Cottage too Beryl and her family were so welcoming and we had all we could have asked for

the only thing that would have made our stay better was the ability to open the bedroom windows a bit wider to get more air in during the hottest week of the year but understand the locks would have been for safety

A very cute cottage, home from home, warm, friendly and inviting, nice decorative touches.

The regular military airplanes taking off and landing nearby, but in a way that is also quite exciting

Excellent Stay in Rural Norfolk Cottage

1 Barge Cottage is located in the village of Narborough in a lovely area of rural Norfolk. Part of a old stable/piggery conversion the cottage is 1/3 of the converted building and within the farming area of the old Maltings. The space and decor was superb and fully fulfilled our expectations, no problems with parking as its outside the front door in a fully private road, we would highly recommend it.

For our expectations most things were very good. Only minor gripe was the mattress in the main bedroom could be a little firmer, other than that all was good.

Very kind host. Exceptionally pleased with late checkout. Lovely site, would come again.

A flat frying pan, sharp knives and a firmer double bed. Upstairs bathroom door doesn't close easily.

The location is very nice. The grounds are very pleasant and tranquil. The walk along the river through the property was in particular very nice.particu

Upon arrival it was not clear how to check in/get the key. The cooker was an old fashioned electric cooker which did not work very well.
