Hidden little gem

The owner was pretty cool - laid back as. The location was AWESOME! we were in the first unit, had an awesome breeze coming through the master room window. Right across the road from Woos, which is open late as, it was great for us. This place had the right vibe - the old fulla was pretty cool, we will definitely be back, we are not new to the island but might have found our "spot"

Could have done with a good clean before we came into the unit and the out of use tv on the porch could have been disposed of or taken away from the unit, but that didnt damper my opinion of the place - I will definitely stay there, I have stayed at many other places which have been at the other end of the scale, costed alot more but Im glad I found the place.

Very relaxing a few steps to beach all in all marvelous

We had our own breakfast but right next door the resort there you can walk in off the beach either way resorts all along for walk in breakfast or Dinner 1

Roosters are a bit of a problem hard to sleep in I guess you would get used to it if you stayed longer

Was ok. Apart from the beds n getting in contact with the owners

That there was a pool n also the beach right outside, the shops across the road

The beds were really uncomfortable, had to find out how to use the stove later on.

Superb

Group of friends had a lovely stay at this accommodation. Perfect location, very close to the beach, shop directly across the road,short walk from the cafe. Beautiful mountain views. The house has everything you need for your stay with large garden space and pool to relax by. The owner of the property Peter is very accommodating and friendly we received a lovely welcome. Would definitely recommend and would saty again.

We are a family of five and had a wonderful time at Sundown Lodges, exceptional hosts.

Our hosts, Peter and Elizabeth were extremely friendly and showed us many kindnesses. We loved having a swimming pool, the beach was only a few metres away, a dairy and water station 50 metres away. Comfortable, quiet and private.

The booking was made and confirmed but nobody was there to meet us so we had no accommodation which is very disappointing so we had to find an alternative place to stay which is not acceptable. Don't recommend to other traveler's

Rarotonga is amazing, welcoming and happy to be open again.

great location That is if you are happy being away from busy beaches and the hustle and bustle- bus stop outside and scooter hire opposite, 15 min from town, 30 min from Muri, Beach is great depending on prevailing wind. restaurants and resorts nearby for happy hour etc. dairy across the road and the flying turtle for breaky not far. the Lodge/ unit although a bit cluttered and dated, but the others were simple and clean size was perfect for us as a family of 4, kitchen sufficient. POOL IS AMAZING esp on a windy day at the beach.

sadly the host wasnt ready for us/expecting us to turn up - which made for our arrival at 3.30 am after 24 hr without sleep quite stressful, its hard to communicate with the host via booking.com or any other platform. so the lodge was in disarray and wasn't very clean when we arrived esp sheets, bathroom and dog hair everywhere, Kettle was old and gave a plastic taste, it felt like we were in someone elses space with personal belongings around the place, and when they wanted to fix it at 4 am we sent them away - needed sleep the most. the other guests hadn't had that problem and their units were uncluttered clean and simple- I hope it was just one of those things that happen, when you live on island time and new to Booking.com
