Lovely building and apartment with easy access to bus and ferry. On the fifth floor and without an elevator. Apartment was clean and slept four. Building has washer/dryer in the basement - requires quarters and no change machine on site. Window units in bedrooms, but not in living room.

Offering a fantastic view of the New York skyline from New Jersey, the easy bus links allowed us to see the city, augmented with the occasional Lyft and Uber.
The communication with the host was great, and he was very flexible with arrangements. The stairs only access to the property was not ideal but really not a great problem, seeing how New York involves a lot of walking anyway.
In the area, id really recommend a trip to the massive American Dream Mall which has a built in theme park and water park!

Great location for a show at MetLife! Four adults stayed comfortably. We only left once each day as there is no elevator! But, it was all good!

Ozzie was always easy to communicate with and description of the unit was spot on. We enjoyed our time in the big city and this unit was a good home base. Worked well for our family of 5.

We recently stayed at this Vrbo property and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations. While there were a few positive aspects, the negatives overshadowed them greatly, making it difficult for us to recommend this place to others.
Pros: we appreciated the host's responsiveness to our issues & the view of Manhattan was quite
Cons: eight flights of stairs to climb, check-in - host have us the wrong code for the lockbox, A/C unit in one of the bedrooms was uninstalled (resulted in an uncomfortably warm night of sleep. Although the host installed the unit the following day, it did little to cool the room), only one apartment key for everyone, lack of essential amenities (enough towels, paper towels, etc), beds & pillows were uncomfortable, heavy traffic through the Lincoln Tunnel, combined with an inconsistent bus schedule and expensive Uber fares, made commuting into the city a hassle, host's lack of organization ( texted us one day before checkout stating we were late for checkout and blamed the error on the housekeeper)
We strongly advise against choosing this Vrbo property for your vacation.

Do not be fooled by the allure of these beautiful pictures! This VRBO is absolutely false advertising. Where do I begin? Upon arrival we were instructed to go inside and grab the parking pass to put on our vehicle. What parking? The street parking is full for blocks to come. No alternative suggestions are offered. We called the owner and he suggested a “parking garage” 4 blocks away that’s actually just a parking lot with a 3 HOUR LIMIT! Once you park and make it into the apartment building you’ll find numerous lockboxes, good luck figuring out which one belongs to this apartment!! And pray that the owner provides you with the correct code. As we listened to screams from tenants in the building, we sat for 10 minutes trying to get into the lockbox with the info provided to us. Once we called the owner he indicated that oops he provided not only the wrong code but the wrong indicator of which lockbox it is!! After getting the keys we had to walk up FIVE FLIGHTS OF STEPS (64 steps!!!) through a stairwell that smells like cats and pee. There is no elevator by the way. And once you get to the apartment there is no AC AT ALL!!!! There’s 1 fan provided that does not even rotate!! The hallway actually ended up being cooler than the apartment. If you book this, you might as well just sleep in the hall if you can stand the smell. It was so hot and sticky in there that we ended up booking a hotel in addition to this VRBO so that we could stay somewhere else. Absolute rip off.

This is a great place to stay if you're exploring New York City. It's easy to catch several different buses into the city. The apartment was clean and well kept. The check-in process was a little tricky, but Ozzie was very helpful and we got it figured out.
