The location was perfect for our needs. The new house was spotless. Plenty of room for our size group, and nice big kitchen for hosting 5 or 6 for dinner. Great big couch for watching TV. Brand new large capacity washer and dryer - very nice. Parking is ok. One dedicated spot in the back, that is well labeled. Backing into the property and the parking spot makes it much easier. There is a21lso free and easy on-street parking if needed right in front of the house.
The kitchen needs to be stocked with a lot more cooking and serving supplies. I've seen better stocked kitchens at college apartments. One old frying pan, three worn out pots, no baking pans, little to no cooking utensils. Limited glassware. I have lots of photos of completely empty cupboards. We reached out to the owners about this, and they promised to bring over basic essentials, but they did not follow up. We had to purchase disposable aluminum pans for cooking, and borrow other kitchen supplies and glassware from our son who lives close-by. We requested a small rebate for our inconvenience plus we had to buy cooking equipment - no response from the owner. The beds are very uncomfortable. Brand new beds and mattresses, but the mattresses are 4-inch think slabs of hard foam with plastic mattresses covers. If they added soft memory foam mattress toppers, it would fix this problem. Lots of street noise at night. We used a white noise sound machine to drown it out. Last thing - the hot water. We had two people get scalded by the hot water while hand washing the dishes. I went downstairs and noticed the hot water heater dial was on the VERY HOT setting! So irresponsible!
