Welcome to Blue Mesa Lodge 40B, an AvantStay home!
The granddaddy of Mountain Village Core lodging, the Blue Mesa Lodge, and Condos offer centrally located accommodations. 40B is located in the building that sits on the east end of the plaza on the opposite end of the La Piazza restaurant. The front door is on the north end of the building.
Enter the unit from the fourth-floor hallway (that has elevator access). Upon entering the unit, guests are welcomed into a large living space. The living room has a queen sofa sleeper, 26-inch flat-screen TV with a DVD player, and balcony with views of the plaza below and San Sofia Ridge beyond. There is a full kitchen with seating for up to four at the breakfast bar. A dining room table offers seating for six and access to the balcony. A bathroom with a walk-in shower is located on the main floor. Up the spiral stairs is a queen bed and a bathroom with a shower/tub combo.
The complex is ski-in/ski-out, just feet from the ski runs of Lifts #1 and #4.
Need more room? Blue Mesa 40B can be booked along with sister units 40A and 40C — all three spaces can be combined with adjoining doors for a true group-friendly stay!

My husband and I stayed here and loved it. We were pretty center to Mountain Village so it was easy to get to the gondola and restaurants, as well as into the Town of Telluride.
The condo is great for 2 people, plenty of space, comfortable couch and bed. Cut patio to people watch and drink coffee from. We'd stay here again.

I needed quiet time to do some work, the condo in the Mountain Village was perfect for it. It was comfortable, the grocery store is walking distance, a good stay all around. A note to maintenance, the sink in the bathroom does not drain properly, and kitchen sink disposal is very loud and rattles. Otherwise all was fine!

Queen bed very uncomfortable for 2.
Mattress-pad was ripped and stained , which I noticed making the bed , no fooling me, I am a nurse. This was changed out after I notified housekeeping. This should have been noticed getting the bed ready.
Not ready for a third person( adult son) to sleep on the couch. No sheets ready for him. No sheets found in the condo. I searched all dressers and closets. First night he had to sleep in his clothes on the pullout couch. After contacting housekeeping they brought sheets the next day.
However we had a good time staying there. Great location.
Less throw pillows would make the place less cluttered when guests bring their travel bags.

Great stay from start to finish. Checkin was smooth and the team was in constant communication. Great location, short walk to village lift and can ski right up to the room. Highly recommend if you’re headed to Telluride.

Property is very conveniently located, literally steps from the snow at the top of the Chondola. Just a few minutes walk to the stores and restaurants of Mountain Village and the free gondola which takes you down to Telluride. Couldn’t have picked a better location. Very well stocked with more than enough towels, toiletries, etc. for a family of 4 for our 5 night stay. Starter coffee, detergent, etc. was enough to last the full trip.
Wont knock a star for it since the previous reviews warned us plenty already but the sofa bed mattress is horrible. Kids took the main bed and loved it, we didn’t get a single night of decent sleep. Would highly recommend owners doing something about it.

This is a very nice well appointed unit. It is in the center of all of the activity in Mountain Village. This area is so pleasant and care free. This unit was priced right for the season and had a great kitchen and plenty of open space and outdoor seating. There are two things that kept me from giving this unit a five star rating. The unit had a couple of areas where it could have been cleaner. One was the bedding in the pull out couch which we did not use but we were checking it out when we arrived for possible future use and we discovered that the bedding was dusty and had a couple of things that looked like roach wings. The couch definitely smelled musty and could have been cleaned better. That is something that can be remedied. The other issue that we had was the proximity to the corner bar whose patrons tend to get a little rowdy in the evening hours and this continues until midnight on most nights. Sometimes it spills out into the plaza area and with no AC in the unit and the windows open you cannot help but be included in the partying whether you like it or not. Overall, this still is a very nice unit and i would stay here again.

Not as Advertised
I booked this stay for 4 adults, and upon arrival found out the internet did not work, and the second bed (a sleeper sofa) was broken and could not be pulled out. My wife and I had to sleep on the floor both nights, and management still has not addressed compensation for this major inconvenience. Paying full price for a property with half the advertised sleeping arrangements is NOT okay. Avoid AvantStay at all costs.

Clean, efficient, great location
Perfect location in mountain village. Was a great size for one couple- plenty of room to spread out. Everything was spotless. We did use the fan as the loft bedroom got a little stuffy. A tall standing fan might be a nice addition (as opposed to the box fan since it’s not quite tall enough to feel the air flow). But it really is a wonderful condo! Would happily stay again.

I stayed here over Presidents’ Day weekend with my almost 13yo son. It is in a PERFECT location. The ski locker set up is great. Literally steps to the top of the Chondola and ski down to Sunshine express to get to the top of the mountain fast. Right in the thick of Mountain Village too for dinner, coffee, shopping, etc. We would definitely stay again.
The furniture layout is a little wonky facing the non-operable fireplace instead of the TV. I would recommend rearranging it a bit to make it more comfortable to watch tv.
There were also no kitchen hand towels. I called to ask for some and they brought more bath towels. I felt bad about using a fluffy white bathroom towel in the kitchen.
But obviously nothing that interfered with our wonderful weekend stay. Thank you!!

I stayed here over Presidents’ Day weekend with my almost 13yo son. It is in a PERFECT location. The ski locker set up is great. Literally steps to the top of the Chondola and ski down to Sunshine express to get to the top of the mountain fast. Right in the thick of Mountain Village too for dinner, coffee, shopping, etc. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is perfectly located with plenty of options for food. The gondola is a short walk away. The condo was very clean and perfect for our getaway.. We will definitely return!

Amazing location
The views and proximity to the lifts cannot be beat!
The spiral staircase to the sleeping loft was a slight challenge for my older mother-in-law but we knew this when we rented. If you're looking to stay in Mountain Village, this place is spectacular. Thanks very much for sharing it with us!

A beautiful property in the heart of Mountain Village, in walking distance of the free gondola and restaurants. Loved the airy loft bedroom and spacious kitchen and living area. The spiral staircase was a bit of a tricky climb after a week of hiking and physical activity, but that’s on us :). Lovely views for an autumn retreat.

The property is exactly as listed online. Very convenient location to the gondola and the mountain village. We were out and about all weekend so we didn't utilize the kitchen at all, but it was well stocked. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay here was great! First, the location was absolutely phenomenal. It was in the middle of Mountain Village town, and the gondola into the town of Telluride was the highlight of our trip.
The unit itself is fairly spacious and the patio is wonderful. There's not much privacy if you have 3+ people (as the top is just a lofted area) but that was okay with us. The pullout bed wasn't fantastic, but it was fine! Overall, great stay and would visit again.

Perfect Location
The condo was spacious, and felt like home! However, no denying the best part is the view of the mountains, it's a dream to wake up to and watch the glow rise on them with coffee. I loved that the gondola was a just right up the path from the condo, it was so fun to use as a commute every time you wanted to get into Telluride! I appreciate the kitchen was organized and had everything you could need to cook meals, the bed was very comfortable and the condo is so spacious and full of light! We'd defiantly stay again!

Great place in a great location with ever greater views. The original plan was to ride bikes, but the first snow of the season quickly made us change plans and we ended up spending a lot of time indoors. Perfectly placed near good food, a fun bar, and a quick ride down to Telluride, is the reason we look forward to coming back.
