I stayed at Lake Cottage to celebrate my Mum's 60th birthday. The property was spotless and so well equipped. We all commented multiple times on how the owners had gone above and beyond to fill the cupboard with everything you could need for a short break.
The building itself is stunning and in a picturesque location. Not to mention the friendly pig on site who was a family favourite.
I would highly recommend staying at Lake Cottage. We will be looking at booking our next staycation there shortly.

It was an amazing stay for my friend's family from Japan.
As they live in a city, everything was so special and they enjoyed their stay throughly. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful Christmas break in this beautiful house. It was very cosy, the beds were extremely comfortable and there were lovely open fires in the sitting room and the dining room. The gardens were beautiful and the house owners were very friendly, kind, thoughtful and always happy to bring extra supplies.

The lake cottage was the perfect place for our stay in the country. Our children loved walking the beautiful grounds and feeding Winnie the pig every morning. We enjoyed coming up by the fire and appreciated the extra firewood. The hosts were welcoming and went the extra mile to help us on our stay. So many extra touches to make the place special. Also the perfect location for touring the Cotswolds. No complaints. I would recommend the lake cottage to anyone looking for a country get away.

We have just spent a wonderful weekend at Lake Cottage. The images really don’t convey how lovely this cottage truly is. The owners have thought of everything. The cottage is situated in stunning grounds. You won’t be disappointed staying here no matter what time of year. A great place to take your dogs as they are made to feel welcome with their own goody bag.

Thanks for a fabulous stay, such lovely touches having a bottle of bubbles (and tasty fancy nuts!) bread, butter, milk and local honey (which Im annoyed I forgot to try!) Lovely bedding, comfy beds and we loved the gorgeous pig who greeted us each time we left the house! We had a great, active stay - walking 20 miles on the Cotswold Way the first day and running 20 miles the second day! Visited The Old Fleece twice, 10 mins walk on the road (prob even closer across country, though it was a little too dark to attempt it!) Brilliant, thoroughly recommend for a group of friends on a break from the kids!

We traveled to England and had our reservation cancelled at another location. Bolthole saved us with this beautiful cottage against a lake. We have two small children and they loved feeding the pig. The footpaths are all close and take you anywhere you need to go. We didnt use a car the entire time. We could not be happier with how comfortable and clean this property is. If we come back for a holiday we would stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lake Cottage. Caroline our host was very supportive and went even more than our expectations with her generosity and kindness making her among the leading hosts we ever interacted with. We wish her all the best and hope to visit her again in the future.
