Location was good. Fire in hearth could have been cleaner, electric candles would have made it cosier. Just little touches, really
Bed linen, fencing on stairs to terrace., little bit wider selection of glasses and crockery.

Pretty little cottage nestled in beautiful countryside. Great facilities and the hosts really accommodating. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The location of the cottage and its age made this this visit outstanding. the cottage was VERY comfortable and our host Alex had ensured everything we needed as there waiting for us. Just a 3 minute drive from the bustling Centre of Hebden Bridge the cottage was very quiet and in a wonderful spot. Parking was easy less that 10 steps from the front door! Beds comfy and the kitchen well equipped.
The cottage has two chairs and a table in the small but well cared for front garden. At the back of the cottage on the side of a very steep garden a covered heated seating are was available at the edge of a forrest. This addition was OUTSTANDING and my wife and I enjoyed a glass of two of wine in this unique spot.
Communication with the host, Alex as very easy and we had a phone number if we needed help.
We love the area near the town of Hebden Bridge and will retune to this property many times in the future.
Overal a VERY enjoyable experience.
The was nothing we didn't like. ..everything needed as supplied by our host. We could have done with a little less rain ..but I don't think our host Alex could arrange this!

TV situation was useless no microwave in kitchen

Just off the main road on a side street, but quiet. Really handy for a pretty 10 minute walk along the canal into town. A comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Lots of local information which was a nice touch. Good value for money.

Location, cleanliness, contact with host very good. Well-equipped. Quiet.
Unfortunately we couldn’t get BBC channels on tv. Tried with Alexa but didn’t work. Ended up watching Glastonbury on my iPad.
In front bedroom there is no bedside lamp for reading. No bedside table either. (For glass of water, book etc.)
We found the brushed cotton bedding too hot for the high and humid temperatures at the time. Some plain cotton bedding would have been better and much more comfortable in the heat. Relatively minor issues that didn’t spoil our lovely stay, just giving feedback that might be helpful ☺️.

The setting was lovely and a short canal side walk into town.
Communication with the owner was spot on. He was prompt and professional.
Parking was available outside the property.

The location was excellent..we particularly enjoyed the walk along the canal towpath into Hebden Bridge town and beyond.
The only thing I could possibly say would be a useful addition would be a microwave but, in all honesty there was nothig further we needed for a short stay.

Location was good.
The cottage was very cold when we arrived . It took a long time to heat up due to
an inadequate radiator in the corner of the kitchen. Guest in the front master bedroom had to wear clothes in bed to get warm. It would have been nice to have a later checkout time on Sunday (10 am ) after attending a local show on Saturday night.

Lovely location near to the canal, short walk in to town. Lots of information from Alex, re local attractions, eating out, shopping, walks etc.

What a beautiful place, so happy me and friends came across this little gem. Everything about it was fantastic from the cottage itself to the location, the decking and outdoor area is such an added bonus too. The little added extra's of having ice, milk, coffe and sugar etc was lovely. Alex was nice and was so helpful too, could not recommend this place enough!! Will definitely be back, hopefully with the hot tub next time!!

Location was great - a short stroll into town, along the towpath by day and by road at night. Heptonstall is not far, up a pretty lane. Buses are excellent, if you are without car. Inside the cottage was quiet and felt very private.
The whole property is in need of a refurb now, particularly the bedrooms. Uncomfortable beds and overlarge furniture, and no bedside tables or lights. Smoke alarm directly above bed, which is a bit crazy as it flashes at night. The kitchen is fairly basic, with no microwave. Proper curtains and a draught excluder would be cheap and easy fixes.

We loved the walk (15 - 20 mins) along the nearby canal to the centre of town and the station (daughter arrived by train). Very convenient location for Hardcastle Crags too (recommended). The seating area in the cottage's elevated rear garden was great for catching the spring sunshine. Liked the big sofa and the specious bedrooms. And all very clean.
Front bedroom a bit noisy due to the main road and railway track but this was anticipated as we'd noted that both were nearby when booking.

A beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage in a fabulously quirky town! Calderside Cottage is perfectly placed for great walks and is a short stroll along the canal to Hebden Bridge. We'll definitely be staying again!

Pleasant short walking distance into town and canal walk. Lovely place

Location was perfect and the cottage was cosy and clean. Great walk into the town to discover the shops and bars. Can’t recommend Hebden Bridge and the south pennines enough.

The beautiful cottage was immaculate and careful consideration had been given to comfort. I had to text the owners a couple of times (me being dense), but an immediate response and so helpful. Easy walking distance into Hebden Bridge along the canal-just perfect and will definitely be back.
Not really a "didn't like" but it was hard to unlock the front door from the inside. In the end I left the front door unlocked and put the bolts on the inside door.

very sweet place - had everything we needed. the garden at the back had a lovely decking area with nice seating and a heater, but as it is January we didn’t use it. would be lovely in warmer weather.
the only issue we had, and this maybe just us was that the mattresses were not comfortable and we are not used to sleeping together in a standard double bed, so we had to use both beds.

close to canal walk and interesting walk into Hebden bridge. interesting property.
it was a little
cold, the digital thermostat didn’t seem to change heating so had to adjust radiators which were on minimum which was too
cold
for first week in January but warned up quickly. slight damp smell by front door. there does seem to be a beck running close to property so may have a little damp rising from it. apart from that, really nice cottage, my kids
loved it. parking was a slight issue as
I have a big van and didn’t know it was limited or you could park on wooden planks opposite until we got in house and mentioned in visitors book. if you have a big vehicle, do not drive past house as road is narrow and you’ll have to turn round multiple times to turn back on yourself.

Small but homely property with cosy ground floor open plan kitchen, living room and dining room. 2 very comfortable double beds and a shower room and toilet upstairs. At the back of the property is a lovely covered seating area with a heater where we had breakfast. My wife and youngest daughter both loved the place as did our dog who slept soundly all night.
