We had a wonderful week in Bridge House. It's in a great position, it has everything you need for a family holiday. The house is old with wooden beams but beautifully decorated throughout and very comfortable. The garden is an added bonus especially as the weather was so good! The main road outside does provide some noise but we didn't find it much of a problem. Communication with Keswick Cottages was clear and efficient before and after our stay. We will definitely be returning!

We were a family of 4 and there was plenty of room in Bridge House to accomodate us all. It is in an excellent location being very close to the Centre of Keswick. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.
Well recommended.
We will return.

A lovely house which is well equipped to give 8 people a great holiday. The on-site parking and large garden are a fantastic bonus and we spent a lot of time enjoying the swings, tennis court and trampoline. Situated only minutes walk from the centre of Keswick and Booths it really is ideally placed. I would highly recommend the house for a group, or large family holiday.
On a separate note, it would be useful to have some games available for those inevitable wet days in the Lakes Also two members of the group found the beds quite hard and uncomfortable but that is, of course, a personal preference.
Outside the control of Bridge House, is the traffic noise from the busy Main Street and unfortunately a very noisy drain cover mentioned by a previous reviewer. If you are used to quiet nights then you may find that your sleep is disturbed.
We also had a 'visit' from a group of local lads who came into the garden and broke the seesaw and literally tied the swings in knots. When challenged they said that they were 'looking for Booths.' As reported and discussed with Keswick Cottages, the complex would benefit from a number lock on the external gate, not only to ensure the vandalism doesn't happen again but that small children and dogs are safe from the parking area.

We have stayed in Bridge house (and other properties in the complex) many times. The central location with parking means that you can leave your car and walk everywhere. The property is very comfortable and well equipped. The large garden and ample outside seating provide a very welcome way to relax at the end of the day.
We have already booked again for Spring 2025.

Second time we’ve stayed at Bridge House - a lovely, spacious, comfortable and welcoming home for the week. The fantastic and safe garden with play equipment is perfect for our young grandchildren to amuse themselves while the grownups could enjoy the outdoor seating space. Great house, great location, equipped with everything we need. Love it

It is the second time we stayed in the house. It is comfortable with a good garden and a tennis court that the kids used a lot. It is close to shops and is a good base for walking.

Just had a 2 week stay in Keswick at Bridge House. Property is excellent and our stay very comfortable. The property is well maintained, modern, well equipped and tastefully decorated.
We picked the property as we wanted parking for 2 cars and wanted some where that would take a dog.
The house keeping deserve a special mention for the friendliness and efficiency.

Bridge House was an excellent base for a family get together. Excellent location, just a very short walk into Keswick and Booths and co op just around the corner. The house itself and facilities are very good indeed, we would highly recommend and will definitely return in the future. Keswick Cottages are an excellent company and always our go to first choice for booking a self catering cottage in Keswick.

This is our second time in Bridge House. It’s a lovely comfortable three storey house and has everything you need. Centrally situated to supermarkets and the market square. We would definitely go back.

We've stayed in Bridge House several times now. It has become a place where the whole family can get together and have a great week walking around Derwentwater and Borrowdale, and usually Buttermere too.
The house is perfectly located - a very easy walk to the Coop or Booths for food shopping, five minutes or less into town and only ten minutes from the lake. It's beautifully presented and very spacious with a well equipped kitchen. We love it.
Keswick Cottages are very helpful, and if there is anything wrong, they're very quick to send someone out and sort it out.

Some of the problems with Bridge House were caused by poor communication, some by shortcomings with the actual property.
Keswick Cottages first priority must surely be to enable communication with clients once they arrive in Keswick. To make contact visitors are at present told to ring a local number. As none of the various networks our party used could get a signal this was pointless.
One of us hunted down the Agency’s offices to find that they are hidden away in a closed and unwelcoming Victorian terraced house. A sign on the front door said that it would only be opened if visitors rang the office first!
The reason for our visit was to report a strong smell of gas in the communal area. Having gone to some lengths to report this alarming occurrence we remain at a loss to know how the agency subsequently intended to put visitors minds to rest. We only learned that the owner, not the Gas provider, said there was nothing to worry about (alarming in itself) because one of us happened to be around on the paved patio when a member of the agency team was visiting the site on an unrelated matter later in the day
Poor communication extended to the seemingly helpful provision of a Welcome Tablet in the living room. This would be a useful touch - if it contained a greater amount of up to date information. For example it lacks (i) reference to the glass &plastic recycling bins on site (i.e. not Otley Road as directed by scant existing instructions), (ii) information on how switch central heating on/off, (iii) how to operate the cooker hot plates (none of us had ever used this form of heating and they proved extremely challenging/annoying).
Communication problems aside there were a number of serious shortcomings in Bridge House.
(i) Two of our party found their beds (on 1st and 3rd floors) extremely uncomfortable. One preferred to sleep on a settee instead.
(ii) The advertised ‘luxury underfloor heating’ was not evident in the radiator free ground floor master suite.
(iii) Providing ‘Complimentary Wi-Fi’ is of little value when none of our networks could get a steady signal in Bridge House.
(iv) The poor Wi-Fi meant that the Smart TV in ground floor master suite was unwatchable much of the time..

We have spent a week in the Bridge House complex for the past 15 years, and this year in Bridge House itself did not disappoint. It sleeps 8 and is ideal for a larger group - well-equipped, stylish and spacious. Probably the best thing is the location, perched at the bottom of the main street, an easy walking distance to all the shops and cafes Keswick has to offer, and also an ideal start point for beautiful walks in every direction. Highly recommended!

A rare four- bedroom property in the heart of Keswick. Great for large family or two family holiday. Safe for kids and dog friendly. Allocated parking . Highly recommended.

Having used this property for a considerable time now we feel that we know the property like it's our own home.
Over the years there is bound to be wear and tear on the fabric but it dose not show very much on Bridge house. continual improvements are obvious and things getting old do too.
As we and our guests are now getting older ourselves we notice things like how many stairs there are and that there are not as many handrails as we would like.

good as ever 95/100
Couple of minor suggestions:
New frying pan and tongs needed.
The outside table for Bridge Mews is marked as such. It might be handy to do likewise for the outside tables for the other units in the block as it is unclear which relates to which.

Great cottage in a perfect location
The cottage was great, it had everything you could need for a lovely stay, lots of space and very comfy beds, and a lovely garden.
The only minor issue was that there was only one bath sheet per room, rather than per person.
The location was perfect, with plenty to see and do from the doorstep, and with the bus station just around the corner you don't even need to use the car.
