We wanted to stay longer we were so comfortable. The view from our room was lovely. Dinner was excellent and Clive wanted an Irish coffee-no problem. The bed was so comfortable too.

Great family resort, friendly staff and good service.

There was black mould on the skirting boards in 2 places , the sink is cracked in our room , tile carpeting, very dated , felt like we were going into a dudgeon . Patches on the walls . Very expensive for one night checked in at 10:30pm out at 7am

"The room was big, clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of space to relax. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and spacious stay!"

Lovely position. Rooms not insulated enough as could hear people in their rooms whilst in the corridors. Went out about 10.30 pm and couldn’t get back into property. They had a buzzer, but voice kept saying can’t help me now but leave a message. Did this twice - same reply. Eventually saw someone at reception and waved to them. They were unaware I had rang the buzzer or what the message said.

The position was lovely. It was very clean. Reception staff were great. We had decided to dine at the restaurant we looked at the website for menu and were very happy with the menu. We arrived at the restaurant and the waiting staff need intensive training and we found the menu had changed and were very disappointed. The bar person I cannot comment on as I did not have any contact with. The apartment was very noisy. The view was beautiful.

Nice location, very comfortable and clean, is starting to show a bit of age in the bathrooms, but that’s not a major issue
I would definitely recommend

Enjoyed my short stay very much. Found the service very helpful and friendly.
2.0
Staff while friendly were poorly trained and managed. The property appeared neglected.
I used this property to compare it too another resort nearby which we have been staying at for many years but as a result of our experience I will not be returning to Opal.
3.0
Beautiful location, property and probably the best beach attached to any property. Amazing staff who were always smiling, cheerful and happy to help.
However, the rooms and amenities have significantly aged. All the furnishings are falling apart, carpets tearing, bathroom fixtures old and barely functioning (flush in our room needed us to hold it down, tub was stained beyond redemption, toilet seat less said the better). Very disappointing for what was a prestigious property once.
The games room is externally managed and needs coins. Don't bother if you are heading to the big banana which has a better games room at a lower cost. Not sure what the missed opportunity for that space is.
But again, lovely location with direct access to one of the best beaches you'll see around there.

Opal Cove is always a great place to stay when visiting Coffs Harbour. Great rooms and beds, good pool and swimming options

I was disappointed that the shower was in a bath

The bathrooms are very dated.
Staff did not provide any information on arrival.
My key did not work when I wanted to come back to my room after a walk (but did work in the room).

The property is showing its age and needs some investment

Very comfortable. Lovely staff. Kids really enjoyed the facilities. Great location. I was very disapponited in my main meal from the restaurant. It was not cheap, and was inedible. I left the restaurant hungry.
Everything else was great though.

One night stay on a road trip to Brisbane, hotel needs renovating, clean and tidy but lacks atmosphere. Quiet location, all facilities are there clean and tidy, but just lacks atmosphere. Short walk at the back of the property to the beach but its not swimmable - very rough. Nice short walk through the bush to other beaches as well

Interior room is good but it seriously needs updating in the bathroom. Some mould on the bathroom tiles and some rust around the doors. Bathroom could have used a better clean but apart from that no problem.

Nice refurbished rooms
3.0
We had a garden view room and the room was pretty dated but relatively clean. We had a massive window but the curtains seemed to be missing a section as it would not cover the whole window when I tried to close them at night. I was travelling with my elderly mother who struggles to walk long distances and climb stairs and when we asked about disabled access to the restaurant there was none, I think the resort needs to update and provide easy access for the elderly and the disabled. I don’t think I would choose to stay here again.

Stayed there for four nights. Great overall experience. However the rooms need refurbishment including the bathroom. A/C wasn't regulating. Had to see reception the second day to ask how the A/C can be turned off.

Great view, great location and great food. Excellent for kids.

Facilities are outdated, room need a facelift. Dining options is average, not a 4-star rating. It was ok for a night stopover.
