Check in was fine.... there was an bad odor in the room, we stayed in it because we was only going to be there for 10 hours.
I stayed at this location earlier this year and was very satisfied.

Sonesta Greenbelt is always my go to when I'm coming in the area. I love the fact they do cash deposits. It's very convenient. Always clean, cozy and warm bed. And convient pull out bed for the kids. Always my first choice when I come to the area.

Courteous staff, clean and modern. I look forward to future stays.

At check in it was good. I had to have my rooms switched twice due to the first one having a nasty smell and the second one had left over smoke smell that was very strong. You can tell the staff tried to cover the smell with some kind of perfume. The person that checked me in did come to see and was very helpful. I did call a head of me booking to ask if the pool was heated and I was told it was. (But it wasn’t). The shower/tub can be replaced due to rusting.
I did patronize the bar and it was good. The happy hour wasn’t really a happy hour because after fees and taxes it was a few cents from being the regular price.
Great fire pit as well.

Made the reservation after change in flight schedule. Check in was a horrible experience. The front desk lady by name Jessica was very rude and unfriendly. She communication towards me was that of a person that don't want to be there. To cap it all, the key card for my room I received from her could not open my door. When I went back up there, she completly ignored me like she was extremely busy. One other front desk dude just came out and saw the frustration on my face and took care of the inactive roomkey card. Jessica just looked our way and walked off the front desk. Other than that experience, my stay was okay as I just needed a place to lay my head the next 5 hours. I checke out out 7 am the next day.

My original plan was stay for 2 nights with my dog if hotel has no room available for dog so I only stay 1night sent messages to hotel via hotel.com to confirm but no reply. When I check in ask the front desk if I can change to 1 night stay he said I have to contact hotel.com to make a change. So I had hotel.com agent call the hotel directly but hotel employee said nothing they can do . Can’t blamed hotel 100% but if they reply message I would have better idea how many nights I have to book. Otherwise hotel was nice and clean bed was comfortable. I probably will come back again if I return to the DC area

Arrived late- front desk not manned- no phone number. The bathroom was filthy- floor especially. Continental breakfast - No coffee @ 9am on a Saturday. 2 broken toasters, no butter- and hotel was full for family weekend.

It was a horrible experience
The blanket in my room was dirty & I had to go down to get another one!
The iron was very dirty on the bottom & put black stuff on my jeans that I was ironing!
The room itself, had dust on the table .
There had been a dirty plate that was set out on the table by the elevator to be picked up, since they only clean rooms every 4 days & it stayed there for 2 days. I had to ask the front desk to have someone remove it!!
They will not clean your room, even if you request it’s
The towels are hard , threadbare !
The trash can is very small, considering, they don’t clean the rooms. It can hold maybe 2 water bottles & 1 chips bag
The dresser drawer has masking tape on the outside, that was half peeled off!
There’s a sign in the elevator, that is half peeled off!
The front desk employee, Ayo , was pleasant.
The other employees were rude
Horrible experience.. don’t ever go there..
And they padded the bill with extra charges , had to call & complain

We booked this hotel because it has an indoor pool and hot tub for much needed R and R time for my husband and I. We called ahead two days prior to check on the availability of the pool usage. We were told that the pool was open. Regratful, during our three night stay, the pool was closed all three days!

The hotels in this area are super expensive. For a one night college move in you cannot beat this price. Staff are very nice. It’s clean and comfortable BUT every room is musty. We changed rooms and this is our second visit (the first one everything was fine but the second we had to change rooms and then there were no other hotels left for this third visit so we took a gamble that it was a bad weekend). The air conditioner does not work well and yes I know they are eco friendly. Also note that rooms are only cleaned every four days but that is part of the low price.

I stayed at the Sonesta as part of a business gathering. The employees were efficient and professional. The atmosphere of the lobby was nice. Since this is a pet-friendly hotel, there are cleanliness issues. Stained entry rug, smells in the rooms (we ended up with 4 rooms) and they all smelled different, but not pleasant. We left one empty because of the smells (urine) and stains. I saw a guest with an elderly dog in the hallway. The dog had made some sort of mess and they were trying to deal with it. It's a shame because otherwise, it's a great location and a nice hotel.

It’s a non-smoking property, that’s fine. But locking the side entrances after 10pm, so you have the walk the whole property to get in or out is ridiculous. You already have card-access locks, don’t make getting in and out harder.

Modern. Quiet. Reasonably priced.

I booked this for a quiet refresh weekend and beyond. The room was quiet, convenient, and so comfortable. The pool refreshing. The firepit below my window was a comforting sight during the night. I look forward to going again.

This was a very nice hotel at a better price than the bigger name places right next door. There is a pool and hot tub as well as a courtyard with seating around a firepit. There is a restaurant, but it was not open on a Wednesday night when we were there. There was a cold breakfast with bagels, muffins and cereal. Staff were courteous. The room was clean. I would stay here again.

Honestly, I use to love this hotel, I’ve been here at least 8 times in the past. This time as well as last time had been the worst experience. This hotel has new owners, the hotel isn’t as clean, a lot of things are out of order, and the staff are new and rude. I don’t know if he is the manager or the owner, he wears so many hats, he’s at the front desk to check you in, he’s the bar tender, he’s the Mr. Fixer Upper. It’s just to much going on, I will not visit this hotel again

Front desk Staff was rude and didn’t speak much.
Pool was supposed to be open at 10am and as of 11:30am the gate was locked.
Housekeeping kept trying to push us out of our room as we were leaving right at 11:00am.
Would not stay there again

The property was fine. There was an initial issue with an ajoining room but we were quickly given a different room. Also the hot tub jets were not working.

When I got there, I asked for a different room and was told they are pre assigned, so I couldn't change.
Then I had to clean my room , my tub was dirty. I had my own cleaning supplies, I always clean my room again.
I ordered food , they wouldn't allow the delivery driver to bring the food up to me. I had already expressed to them that I had bad knees.
I called down and asked why they wouldnt let the driver up. They stated it was against policy.
I informed them again about my knees and they still made me come downstairs and get my food. I was in so much pain walking, they didn't care.

The lobby is very nice.
One you go into the corridor leading to the rooms it got dingy and smelly real quick like. There was a strong odor of cockroach sprach.
The room itself was really musty and smelly, everything felt kind of damp and sticky. They don't have central AC and apparently the August heat humidity was too much for the aging air conditioner.
Everything was sort of icky and sticky. The ceiling was peiling, and so was some of the furniture.

Exceeded expectations? Friendly staff, clean and easy check in.
The only bad things were the drains. They need to clear all clogging
