Need to have a car or taxi service to get into town.

The hotel is located at the quiet end of the area, with stunning views out to the Coral Coast. The pool area is beautiful and the surrounding gardens are well kept. There is a great buffet breakfast on offer and also another restaurant right on the waters edge. The room service menu is a little small. Everything was clean and tidy, although we were only given 1 piece of soap for our entire stay and toilet paper appeared to be on rations! The day before our last night we were only given one new towel and no hand towels or bathmats. I'm not sure what's going on with room keeping, but this needs addressing. Its a short walk to the restaurants which was great!

excellent location good service and comfortable beds. Overpriced bar and restaurant but otherwise good value

Good service, friendly staff, great food. Convenient location. Nice room
4.0
The room was lovely but worn. Stains on the bed head and furniture looked tired. Staff were occasionally helpful but most had no idea what was going on. Local events caused restaurants to be closed and staff didn’t know what was open/closed and when making it hard to find a location for meals. Information about local activities was hard to find in general on the island. Staff at the restaurant seemed annoyed to be there and gave very poor service for the price of the hotel. A lot struggled with English making it harder to communicate well.

Room had a urine smell when we told reception had to wait for the manager to be told no upgrade will only move u to another room on same level ended up moving down a level then was shown the room no keys had to wait for keys no one new what was going on nightmare

Staff friendly and helpful but room looked tried and some walls unclean and furniture outside was rusted and couch had a sheet over the bottom cushions. Limited food on menu and restaurants ok! Really had to go out of hotel for a good wide range of meals.

We stayed at Le Meridian for our honeymoon in February for 2 weeks. The staff were always helpful and friendly with recommendations and booking us taxis for places further afield.
The gardens were beautifully maintained and the pool was always clean and sparkling. We really enjoyed having the snorkelling gear for hire at the pool. The staff came by almost every day to freshen up our room and stock up the tea/coffee station.
My main criticism would be the food and dining options on the site: the menu never changed at the beach front restaurant so it felt like not enough options after 2 weeks. The breakfast buffet was better on weekends but also busier. The food on site was definitely expensive and depending on your budget, not worth the money. It’s easy to access if you haven’t planned anything for dinner and the room service was always fast.
Overall we had a beautiful time at Le Meridian and spent almost every day in the pool or at the beach.

We stay there for five nights
It was raining all the time so we spend most of our time at the casino

Exceptional location for Kite Surfing (Pro's / Experts) with great accessibility from hotel - directly infront. Fabulous massive pool as well as sandy beach to enjoy (snorkels complimentary use). Close to nearby islands, 15min water taxi. Sunset magnificent over the water! Sunloungers for pool AND beach - amazing!

The service and the location were superbly. Value for the money definitely

Beautiful location, however, the resort is old and tired and in need of modernising. Staff are lovely. Air conditioning barely functioning in our room. Food options limited and expensive. No water based sport activities offered. Relaxing holiday, however, I doubt we would return.

The staff was lazy not professional and didn't care ,our air conditioning was set on 22 degrees all night so sleeping was a struggle, the roof cleaning service was hit and miss ,had to chase them for toilet paper znd clean towels, i would not go back to this hotel or recommend it , the food and drink prices was a rip off the actual rooms and pool was the best things the hotel has going for it .most people we spoke to had the same problems with their air conditioning and some was leaving because of it not working

The hotel rooms are beautiful and very relaxing. The pool is nice but a few hidden charges which were not expected when paying what you pay. Some staff were extremely helpful and friend, but others were not.

I have traveled around the world and also around the New Caledonia, it’s the best hotel we’ve stayed. Great pool and beach, amazing staff, good comfortable room and amazing breakfast! We definitely coming back! Thank you for the hospitality!

Pool area very nice and relaxing. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Room balcony not very useful - much smaller than appears in photographs and furniture rusty.

Property seems to be a mixed use property with many local events occurring here using the same facilities.
Crowd control from events is limited with drunk function attendees able to wonder around and make noise in the early hours.
For me the twice daily exercise class using the one pool of the resort was annoying as was the removal of chair mattresses by the beach and pool at 5pm….sunsets at 6.30.

The restaurant service was poor. Getting the attention of staff was very difficult and I had to get up and ask to order after almost 40 mins and mentioning that I had a time restriction of a flight to catch.

The staff were more interested in helping tourist that could speak French than English.

Well situated for a stay in Noumea, and easy walking distance to cafes etc.. as eating in the hotel is very expensive.. and a bit average.. Also close to Car hire. Hotel has a good pool and beach area ( although closed for swimming due to Sharks!).. the sea.. not the pool !! Staff were generally helpful and friendly

I am here on a solo trip, I haven’t left yet but this resort is the most safest, relaxing, quiet accomodating place, they give you afew perks during your stay. I don’t want to leave, I had booked this place for 3 nights and booked another place for 3 nights once I checked out I instantly couldn’t leave I had to cancel the other hotel (which btw was the worse accommodation I walked into) booked my stay back at the Le Meridian and I’m so happy to be back same day as check out 😆 no regrets I lost money but gained this experience. The services here also makes staying here even better, the short walk to town and a 2 minute walk to the walk to watch the sunset was just a blessing in itself I will definitely be back next year 👌

This is a nice place to stay with a sea breeze but the little things are missing. No coffee in room, that type of thing. Very expensive food and drink and at the casino which is next door (not sure if it's the same owner) they are definitely serving 'local' alcohol from Smirnoff bottles.

The pool was amazing. Facilities were great!
Staff generally friendly. Location was very good.
We had to ask for some bathroom products eg face washers and body lotion and there was not enough toilet paper. No tea or coffee in the room had to ask reception for some.

Nice property with well furnished modern rooms. Hotel grounds and pool were well maintained and restaurants were all very good. All the staff were extremely polite, helpful and bi-lingual. On-site free parking was great and some nearby shops and restaurants in walking distance. Unfortunately the beach area was closed during our stay which was out of the hotels control due to Noumeas blanket beach closures in the short term, but the water was calm and inviting.

Property and facilities slightly run down.
Room had a damp smell.

Really enjoyed the variety of restaurants on offer. Great pool and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed the gym every morning. Easy walk to the shops. Overall the lovely experience.

A decent 8 out of 10 stars. The hotel itself is in good shape and the rooms arent as bad as you might think from the other reviews. The first room we were in (which was in Level 6) was musty but they changed it immediately when we brought this up. The second room was fine. Lacking in some five star amenities but it's ok. The service itself was difficult as no one really picked up the phone but when they did, it was fine. The pool was too cold but otherwise would be great. It's a short walk to Anse Vate and there is a shortcut via the beach or through the neighbouring property which we discovered that makes it super close to dining options. Breakfast was very good and can't be faulted.
