Great location. Individual bungalows are nice although dated inside. Buffet variety could be better

We enjoyed our honeymoon in this hotel. It was so beautiful between the palms and the incredible beach. Everyone of the staff was so polite and let us feel really comfortable.
We'll be back.

My review is on the Sister property Sugar Beach as we received a free upgrade to stay there which was way better. The Sugar Beach property was very well maintained beautiful and updated we really enjoyed our stay, lots of loungers by the adult pool and lots of space on the beach and great rattan covered beds on the beach and nature built umbrellas. The Buffet had a lot to offer and staff tried there best but it was so busy they had issues with one of there coffee water machines and there was not enough coffee/tea cups every morning. We enjoyed two dinners at restuarants on site and they were great. (Buddha Bar and Citronella)

We had a great time at La Pirogue. Despite being busy, the resort felt peaceful. We enjoyed the food and gorgeous beach. The sunsets are amazing.

We had a lovely stay at La Pirogue. The hotel has ~200 huts all ground level with amazing grounds that have hundreds of palm trees. There is a sister hotel next door you can use the facilities of, you can order drinks there (and most places included for AI), but they do give you funny looks which we thought was strange. Lots of things to do such as canoeing, paddle boarding, mini golf, petanque, snorkelling all included in the price. I really do recommend the all inclusive if you drink as many cocktails available.

Good range of activities, lovely staff in general with special mention to Ravi and Feroze, who were amazing.
Rooms are a little dated but not to be too critical.
Look area is ok but for 1 obnoxious an arrogant lifeguard

We are a family of 4. We normally stay in another 4* hotel but this time decided to try La Pirogue. To our surprise the service was amazing. The staffs from check-in to check-out made our stay memorable. A few names to mention, Feroz who really looked after us, also Lobin always making sure we were happy. Kristel at the bar in the evening took great care of us. Also at the miniclub Aarti took great care of our children. Pascal Toussaint was excellent and gave great customer service with care. Overall we were well satisfied with the service received and will definitely come back. Thank you once again to the staffs who made us feel very welcomed.

very nice environment . Older staff are well trained but a new batch of newly recruited staff really needs more training . Many thanks to Kamla and Jeewan for the nice welcome.

Just back from a 10 day stay here, very family focused, friendly and helpful staff. So much to do during the day and terrific entertainment each night. Beach is awesome and pool for me was one of the best I have used, not a bright blue chlorine pond, but a very nature focused infinity pool.

Mauritius is paradise on earth, my husband and I had a blast, food and customer service were top, every evening we had a themed dinner, also the possibility to try out their additional restaurants was totally worth it. Vijay at the bar restaurant at the pool was the best, really kind and always remembering you and offering the best service, the Mauritian food (noodles) were exquisite!
The wine bar was also a really nice experience, were you could tap a card and try a variety of wines from different parts of the world.
Also there was a band playing for around 2 hours every evening during dinner and after dinner, we could dance and enjoy somehow a feeling of “normality” in the middle of this pandemic, so excellent job, we gathered beautiful memories of kids and families enjoying live music and dancing along.
The beach was clean and beautiful, quiet because the hotel was hosting only 150 people at that time, so we had almost a “private” beach to enjoy for ourselves. We felt safe, because of the COVID testing and the professionalism at the hotel.
We definitely would love to come back in the future, we had a beautiful, rested and recharging time thanks to the hotel crew!

Unique bungallows in a palm groove right on the beach - that's what we loved. Beach itself a little disappointing with sharp corals - swimming footwear essential.

Pros: The property is expansive and well-maintained with lots of on-site activities like tennis, bocce, diving, etc.. The grounds and beach are beautiful. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Entertainment was excellent most nights. The wine bar which offers 50 bottles hermetically sealed and dispensed by the taste or glass is a real draw.Cons: The food in the main restaurant Wolmar where the half board meals are served was truly awful. Ive never been served consistently worse food at a 4/5 star hotel. Even breakfast was disappointing. Mealtime was never something to look forward to. On the plus side, I lost 1.5 kilos during my stay.
