Exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful Martin at Reception with Check in, Room allocation and Parking assistance for our campervan and talking to the chef to enable me to have something to eat after overhearing me trying to explain to the waiters my allergies. Went over and above my expectations. Thank you to the chef for whipping up something to cater for my needs.

We had a lovely stay. The room was comfortable, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was well worth the price. We ate at the restaurant and both meals were delectable. If you’ve never visited the area, the walk to the schloss and burg is wonderful

The wifi didn't work, it needed to be vacuumed, and the water in the shower was warm at best.

All good and clean. People in breakfast room could have been spread out more ( using the 2 rooms available)

Nice hotel with good food (not teh typical standard hotel chain stuff) and very friendly staff!

Friendly service and good food, but I was charged a tax upon checkout that I thought I had already paid when i booked and paid for the room. Overall it was a comfortable stay.

We stayed in a renovated room. It was very nice and comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was the cost of the breakfast buffet in the morning (18€ per person), very expensive for a buffet.

Good location right off the highway. Convenient, free parking. Nice staff. I have stayed here over 20 times over the past few years. I have kept going back...up to now. The past 4-5 stays, though, it's just been sub-par. The "do not disturb" tag does not seem to register, although it is also in French. So, at this point, it is just laziness, I concluded. Once again, someone trying to get into the room after knocking every hour starting at 9. Housekeeping was growing impatient by the hour starting at 9. However, if checkout is at noon, I expect to keep the room until then without being pestered. If I had asked for a late checkout, I would understand. Being there on business, I schedule conference calls and large webinars, and being undisturbed is essential. I mentioned as much last December coming back from a Christmas party at 5 to be woken up before 9 (sign was on, but they kept knocking at the door until I stood up and opened to mention the sign!), then in March and again in June (this time during WebEx conferences). Every single time, the manager mentioned it would be taken care of. But then, today at 11:56a, they may have put the nail in the coffin. I got a call from the front desk, asking me when I was vacating the room because checkout is at 12! Poor form! When asked how my stay was today, I told them again... and again, I was told it would be taken care of. Yet, nothing changes. So, you feel like you are urged to leave...when THEY are done with you. Terrible!

We arrived after a long days driving so were pleased to be able to check in quickly, go to our room for a quick wash and change of clothes before sitting down to a very good meal. The beds were very comfortable

This is undoubtedly the best hotel in Forbach, 4 miles away from the German border (7-8 miles from Saarbrucken, the capital city of the smallest state in Germany). The hotel is conveniently located right by the highway entrance. Located next to the Olympic pool, it offers a nice view of the local castle (Schlossberg) with nice grounds to walk through in nice weather. Whenever I am in the area, I stay at this hotel. Front desk staff is courteous and professional. I cannot speak to the quality of the restaurant. The room I had this time around was OK; superior room with double bed. I had a view of the castle. It was spacious; curtains updated, as well as the larger screen TV set. Housekeeping makes sure you do not need anything. This is always nice. Although, the room was clean, it could use a major update. I had stayed at other rooms before that were in much better condition. The carpet had such bad spots that can probably no longer be thoroughly cleaned. It definitely needs changing. The room itself lacked character, the sofa had definitely seen better days. In general, my stay was enjoyable, but the room is definitely screaming for a change. Updated rooms are quite nice though. Parking is free, which is very nice. If booking a hotel room in the area, not a bad choice with very decent quality-price ratio.

I have stayed here many times. This is my pit stop when I am in the area, which happens a few times a year. I always have an enjoyable stay, but this time I just rated the overall experience as a 4/5 for my two nights over the Christmas period. The reason for this is that when I make sure that I hang my Do Not Disturb sign, I expect just that. The first morning, the housekeeping staff was quite cordial. She mentioned she had overlooked the sign. But the second day, repeated knocks at the door, with a request to open the door as I was just coming out of the shower undermined the whole reason for the sign. I speak French fluently, and when I opened the door thinking there may be an issue, I just got a dismissive gesture of the hand and an alright, alright... Hardly the end of the world, but inconvenient. This being said, I will be back at that hotel because it is comfy, convenient and nice overall...unless this became more standard practice.

When I am in the area to visit my birth place, I like to stay here. This was probably my 10th time, and I like coming back. The Olympic pool is just a couple of minutes walk, which is great in the summer. For those looking to walk around, the trail up the castle is a nice one, surrounded by parks. Easy to find as it is right off the highway (A31). The center of Forbach is less than 15-minute leisurely walk, and from the highway, you are about 10 minutes away from the German border. All rooms are re-modeled. There seemed to be some work being done the last time I was here mid-January, but there was not really much noise. Parking is free, front desk people are always cordial, which keeps me coming back.

Great value hotel, 15 min from town centre, which is charming! A drive to saarbruchen, 10 min. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Very expensive hotel for what it is. Air-Conditioning in the "Superior room"not working, refrigirator not working, tv not working... Convenient though for a quick stop by the road.

Nice hotel, ideal for stop over. Huge rooms, biggest I've seen for a standard room. Lots of parking and friendly staff. Very good in room facilities and great to have free wifi.

Staff exceptionally nice. Overslept and was very late to check out. Staff very pleasant and did not get charged extra fee's.

This hotel was excellent. I ended up staying three times. I would have stayed more, but they were booked up. The rate was reasonable, and the location was only 2.5 hours from Frankfort airport. The staff was understanding, and, offered to check our extra luggage for two weeks without charge.

We were here to tour the Saar-Lorraine region but our 'standard room' was not good value for what you can get elsewhere. The room is pokey and few facilities. Our bathroom has a mould problem, cracks, peeling enamel and was a bit worse for wear generally. It's probably fine if you speak French, but for English guests the staff were aloof and dismissive. Did not have a corkscrew to lend us - imagine, no corkscrew in France! Stay here for a night on the highway but it's not ideal for holidaying.

Great hotel as a base if touring. Location and amenities good.

Staff was especially helpful. Arisha arranged guidance downtown, and Jessica helped with navigation system on the unfamiliar rental car.
